Report: Roxanne Perez Targeted in Disturbing Threat Ahead of WWE MITB Appearance

While much of the recent attention in the wrestling world has focused on the ongoing situation surrounding Liv Morgan and her stalker, troubling news has surfaced regarding Roxanne Perez, who has reportedly been the target of an even more disturbing incident in the days leading up to Money in the Bank 2025.

According to multiple reports, the former NXT Women’s Champion was doxxed on social media, with a user on X (formerly Twitter) leaking her private address and posting a chilling countdown seemingly alluding to a violent act planned for Friday, June 6, 2025.

WWE officials were clearly aware of the situation behind the scenes, and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce made a cryptic post on social media the day before the supposed threat, writing:

“It has been reported. If you know what I’m talking about, then you know what I’m talking about. Thank you to everyone that made me aware.”

Fortunately, no incident occurred on June 6. Perez, showing immense professionalism and resilience, went on to compete in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Saturday, June 7, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Further underscoring the seriousness of the situation, extra security was reportedly present at a WWE meet-and-greet event on Sunday, where Perez made a public appearance. Fightful Select notes that WWE is continuing to monitor the situation closely, and the added security presence suggests the company is taking these threats with the utmost seriousness.

This incident marks another reminder of the growing concern over talent safety, especially in light of multiple high-profile cases involving fan harassment and stalking. While Perez has remained publicly silent on the matter, her actions speak volumes: she’s not backing down, and she’s continuing to perform at the highest level amid deeply personal threats.

Bayley Confronts Roxanne Perez on WWE NXT, Setting the Stage for a Heated Rivalry

Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT proved to be a must-watch event, delivering surprises that had fans buzzing. Not only did TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich make an appearance at ringside, but the closing segment of the show brought another unexpected moment: the return of Bayley to her old stomping grounds. The former NXT Women’s Champion confronted Roxanne Perez, and the fiery exchange may have just set the stage for a high-profile feud between the two stars.

Bayley Challenges Perez’s Legacy

Roxanne Perez, coming off her recent loss of the NXT Women’s Championship to Giulia, opened up about her reign during the final segment of the show. Perez, who held the title for an impressive 276 days, boldly claimed she elevated the championship and the women’s division as a whole—something she doesn’t believe Giulia is capable of replicating. She also suggested that the current women’s roster would be “lost without her,” doubling down on her role as the division’s backbone.

But not everyone agreed with Perez’s self-assessment. Enter Bayley.

“The Role Model” made her surprise return to NXT, addressing Perez in a rare veteran-versus-prodigy moment. Initially, Bayley attempted to guide Perez, offering advice about how losses can help a wrestler grow stronger. However, Perez wasn’t in the mood for life lessons. She rejected Bayley’s input outright, prompting the veteran to shift her tone.

Bayley reminded Perez that NXT’s women’s division has thrived in her absence and insisted it would continue to do so with or without Perez. Taking it a step further, Bayley declared that while Perez wallowed in her defeat, she herself was on the path to WrestleMania 41, where she plans to capture the WWE Women’s Championship.

The heated confrontation boiled over when Perez blindsided Bayley with a punch to the face. Not one to back down, Bayley responded by raining down punches of her own, ending the show in a chaotic brawl that left fans eager to see what’s next.

What’s Next for Roxanne Perez?

Perez’s loss to Giulia last week left many speculating about her future in NXT. The fiery encounter with Bayley suggests that her next chapter may involve the SmackDown star, but how this rivalry plays out is anyone’s guess.

One possibility is that Perez could follow Bayley to SmackDown, where she’s made only one prior appearance. A move to the main roster would make sense for the former champion, who has already achieved so much in NXT and is poised to become a major player on WWE’s biggest stages.

On the other hand, Bayley has proven she’s not above stepping back into NXT to settle a score. Over the past two years, WWE has frequently integrated main roster stars into NXT storylines, with superstars like Becky Lynch, Finn Bálor, and Natalya making impactful appearances on the brand. Bayley working a full-fledged program in NXT could not only elevate Perez but also continue to shine a spotlight on the already thriving division.

A Battle of Eras

Bayley’s return to NXT and her clash with Roxanne Perez feels like a clash of two eras. Bayley helped define NXT’s golden age of women’s wrestling alongside stars like Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch. Perez, meanwhile, represents the next generation of WWE’s women’s division, carving out her legacy with a title reign that brought prestige to the NXT Women’s Championship.

The contrast between Bayley’s veteran confidence and Perez’s youthful defiance has already created a compelling dynamic. If this rivalry continues, it could serve as a defining moment for Perez, whether she stays in NXT or makes the leap to the main roster.

Closing Thoughts

Bayley’s surprise return to NXT and her confrontation with Roxanne Perez marks another exciting chapter for WWE’s developmental brand, which continues to mix established stars with rising talent. Whether this feud unfolds in NXT or on SmackDown, it’s clear that Bayley and Perez are on a collision course.

Report – The WWE NXT-TNA Wrestling Cross-Over Is Expected To Continue

TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made an appearance on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

During the show, it was announced that Grace will be facing off against Roxanne Perez at the 2024 NXT Battleground pay-per-view event. Grace will also be appearing on next week’s show.

According to a report from Pwinsider, the belief among those backstage is that there will be some kind of NXT representation at future TNA events as well. As of this writing, there is no word on who from WWE NXT will be coming over to make appearances. As of now, only Roxanne Perez and Jordynne Grace are involved. But that could easily change.

The next set of TNA tapings will be at the Against All Odds pay-per-view event on June 14th and a TV taping the following night on June 15th.

TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace Appeared On NXT Set To Challenge NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez At WWE NXT Battleground

Last week, “WWE NXT” General Manager Ava informed NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez that the identity of her next challenger would be revealed on this week’s episode of “NXT.” Much to Perez’s dismay, her upcoming challenger was confirmed to be current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, who came face-to-face with “The Prodigy” in her surprise return to WWE.

“Roxanne, you are a great champion, a two time champion,” Grace told Perez. “You have built your name here at NXT, the same as I have in TNA. But I’m curious, who do you think has built the stronger foundation? I want to find out. So at Battleground, I’m going to be challenging you for your NXT Women’s Championship. And I’m fully prepared to leave Las Vegas a double champion.”

As Grace alluded to, the next “NXT” premium live event, Battleground, will emanate from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9. For Perez, this will mark her fourth televised title defense since regaining the NXT Women’s Championship with a victory over Lyra Valkyria at “NXT” Stand & Deliver. For Grace, “NXT” Battleground will serve as the site of her third-ever match in WWE, with the first being the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Before she steps up to Perez, Grace will take on Stevie Turner on next week’s episode of “NXT.”

Over in TNA Wrestling, Grace — in her third reign — has resided as the Knockouts Champion for over four months. “The Juggernaut” began her current reign at the 2024 TNA Hard to Kill event by defeating Trinity, who officially returned to WWE as Naomi later that same month.

Roxanne Perez Shares Message With Fans Amid Murky WWE NXT Status

It’s been two weeks since “WWE NXT” Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez mysteriously “collapsed” after her successful title defense against Meiko Satomura at the Roadblock special, a clear homage to the November 1995 angle where “NXT” booker Shawn Michaels collapsed during a match with Owen Hart due to what was claimed to be post-concussion syndrome. There have been conflicting reports as to whether this was a cover for any kind of real-life health issue, and WWE has been building to a ladder match for the title at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend, but officially, Perez is still champion. On Tuesday, hours after Dave Meltzer reported that Perez was cleared to return from whatever was keeping her on the sidelines, she shared an update on Twitter.

“I can’t thank the @WWENXT Universe enough for all the thoughts and prayers over the past two weeks,” she wrote in the presumably in-character tweet. “The outpouring of support fills my heart. I wish I had better news, but the doctors are saying we’re no closer to finding out what happened to me at RoadBlock. I’m very frustrated, but I promise I’ll be back, stronger than ever, but I just don’t know when!”

Perez —as Rok-C — was the first wrestler to hold the rebranded Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship, winning a tournament final in September 2021. After Sinclair Broadcasting announced the restructuring of ROH shortly thereafter and offered releases to all contracted talent, she took them up on it and dropped the title to Deonna Purrazzo before jumping to WWE. Perez has held both women’s titles on the “NXT” brand, winning the singles title from the departing Mandy Rose in December and briefly holding the tag titles with Cora Jade in between them defeating Toxic Attraction and Jade turning heel in July.

WWE NXT’s Roxanne Perez Medically Cleared

WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez has been medically cleared after a mysterious issue that kept her sidelined.

A few weeks ago, WWE did a collapsing angle following her latest title defense that reminded fans of a similar segment Shawn Michaels did in the mid-nineties. It was reported that there was concern within WWE about Perez as she was dealing with an issue that was keeping her from in-ring action and wasn’t an injury.

WWE announced a ladder match for Stand & Deliver for the NXT Women’s Championship, although Perez has not been stripped of that title.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Perez is now cleared to compete again and is expected to appear on NXT TV soon. There’s still no word yet on what the issue was.

Conflicting Reports Emerge Regarding Roxanne Perez Situation In WWE NXT

Last week on the “WWE NXT” Roadblock special, “NXT” Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez successfully defended her title against Meiko Satomura. Following the momentous victory, Perez suddenly collapsed, and WWE have been providing updates ever since, including when she was discharged last Friday night. While the injury gives every indication of being storyline, separate outlets are reporting conflicting things as to its legitimacy.

Today on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the situation was vague and that hopefully nothing is wrong, but there might be. He also suggested that until they know what the situation is, WWE has to be vague about it. However, Fightful Select were a lot more direct, reporting that Perez is fine and that her “injury” is and always has been for storyline purposes. It should be noted that WWE has not shied away from discussions or replays of the incident on “NXT” programming, which would suggest it is kayfabe.

In perhaps continuing with said storyline, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels announced this week that with Perez’s health in question, “NXT” needed to take steps to potentially crown a new women’s champion at Stand and Deliver, beginning with a series of qualifying matches this past Tuesday. “With Stand and Deliver in less than three weeks I have the obligation to announce we possibly have to crown a New NXT Women’s Champion,” he tweeted

Tuesday night’s “NXT” saw both Zoey Stark and Gigi Dolin qualify for the Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver, which is slated for April 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Perez, meanwhile, has held her title since defeating Mandy Rose on the December 13 episode of “NXT.”

Roxanne Perez’s Availability In Doubt, WWE NXT Poised To Crown New Women’s Champ At Stand & Deliver

It appears that a new “WWE NXT” Women’s Champion will be crowned at the brand’s Stand & Deliver event. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels took to Twitter and announced that there will be a series of qualifying matches starting on tonight’s episode to determine who will be competing at Stand & Deliver in a ladder match for the “NXT” Women’s Championship.

“As of Friday Morning Roxanne Perez was discharged from the hospital,” Michaels wrote. “However, after numerous tests, Roxanne’s health is still in question. With Stand and Deliver in less than three weeks, I have the obligation to announce we possibly have to crown a New NXT Women’s Champion. Starting tonight there will be a series of qualifying matches with the winners advancing to Stand and Deliver to compete to become the NXT Women’s Champion in a Ladder Match.”

The end of the March 7 episode of “NXT” saw Perez suddenly “collapse” after she retained her title against Meiko Satomura. Perez was stretchered out of the arena to an ambulance backstage. This happened after several vignettes showed her “exhaustive workouts” ahead of the big match with the former “NXT UK” Women’s Champion. Perez has been the “NXT” Women’s Champion since defeating former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose on the December 13 edition of “NXT.”

Stand & Deliver is set for Saturday, April 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. It will be on the same day as night one of WrestleMania 39 and will be starting at 1 PM ET. Other matches announced include Bron Breakker defending his “NXT” Championship against Carmelo Hayes and Grayson Waller will be facing Johnny Gargano.

WWE Provides Update On NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez

This past Tuesday night at “WWE NXT” Roadblock, “NXT” Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez successfully defended her title against the legendary Meiko Satomura. Following the bout, though, and shortly after Satomura handed her the championship, Perez suddenly “collapsed” to the mat. Medical officials, referees, Shawn Michaels, and even Booker T rushed to the ring to check on her. The last thing viewers saw was Perez being taken away on a stretcher to an ambulance backstage. Now, WWE has provided a further positive update on the champion.

“Update: Roxanne Perez has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home resting,” WWE tweeted.

WWE’s first update Tuesday night simply stated that she’d be kept in the hospital overnight for further testing. So while the latest announcement is certainly progress, it’s also worth monitoring whether or not she’ll be competing at the “NXT” Stand and Deliver event on Saturday, April 1. Thus far, only two matches have been announced for the big show. Johnny Gargano will make his in-ring return to “NXT” to take on the man who brutally attacked him before he left WWE in 2021, Grayson Waller. Also, Carmelo Hayes is set to challenge “NXT” Champion Bron Breakker.

Perez has been “NXT” Women’s Champion since December 13, when she dethroned Mandy Rose, ending her 500-plus day reign and becoming the developmental brand’s youngest-ever women’s champion in the process. Perez has successfully defended it five times since, including Tuesday’s contest against Satomura. While the bout itself lasted nearly 14 minutes, vignettes leading up to their showdown showed the champ putting herself through very rigorous workouts.

Roxanne Perez’s injury at NXT Roadblock concerned fans about her well-being. Fortunately, the whole collapsing scenario was a take from an angle with Shawn Michaels on RAW in the mid-90s. Similar to HBK, Perez took several blows to the head, which led to the kayfabe injury.

As fans pointed out, Roxanne Perez’s injury at NXT Roadblock is kayfabe because the referee didn’t show the dreaded X sign. The signal is used whenever a superstar is grievously injured and isn’t a part of the storyline. WWE takes head injuries seriously and if Perez did suffer one, multiple reports would have hit the wrestling capsule already.

The injury angle did put over Roxanne Perez in a major way. She may now sport the neck brace as a reminder of her heroics. Her participation in Stand and Deliver is unknown, although the injury could mean she will be out of the ring for a while.

Nonetheless, The Prodigy does have a challenger in line. Tiffany Stratton staked her claim to the Women’s Championship before Roadblock rolled out. It remains to be seen if the showdown will be booked for April 1 or a later date.
