Ronda Rousey Reportedly Wants A Paul Heyman To Become Her Manager In WWE

Ronda Rousey is looking to have Paul Heyman represent her in the WWE storylines, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It was noted that Rousey will likely not become a Paul Heyman Girl due to internal company politics as the pairing would not fit the big picture narrative on why Rousey was signed. The idea is for Rousey to be the babyface antagonist to Stephanie McMahon and Heyman’s role is seen as more of a heel, even though WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar ended up being a babyface with Heyman representing him, which was not how they intended for things to turn out. Some do feel that the WWE fan base will eventually turn on Rousey.

Rousey is also in WWE because the outside world will see her as the biggest star in the company, and because she’s had strong drawing power with female fans. The Observer noted that the limited data they have shows RAW viewership with men is way up when Rousey is on but female viewership is not.

Ronda Rousey Says She’s Ready To Have Kids Soon, Talks Stephanie McMahon’s Slap Legitimately Hurting

Ronda Rousey spoke to Yahoo Sports as part of her media blitz to promote WrestleMania 34. Below are a couple of highlights:

How important it was to live life outside of the spotlight, get married and enjoy life before joining WWE:

“It really was myself and Travis [Browne] planning on settling down that made me decide that I needed to go for it. We’re ready to start having kids soon and I was thinking about what I’ve left unfinished in my life because I want to entirely focus on having kids when that time comes. I took a long look at my life and thought that if I don’t try and take a shot with the WWE, I would regret it for the rest of my life. I want to be an example to my kids about pursuing your dreams and being able to do anything. I guess this is my way of nesting and getting ready for children. I’m trying to prove to my unborn babies that they can accomplish any dream that they want to go after.”

Stephanie McMahon slapping her on RAW:

“I’ve never been slapped before. Anybody who has ever been slapped tells me that it hurts more than you think. Man, when she hauled off and whacked me, my first thought was ‘Wow, that really hurt way more than I thought it would.’ Everyone was right. Slaps suck and there was a loud noise followed by the crowd’s ‘Ooooh!’ I didn’t see that coming at all.”

Paying Stephanie McMahon back for the slap:

“Oh man, I can’t wait. As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold and I cannot wait to serve her the coldest dish at WrestleMania.”

Ronda Rousey Made An Appearance After Raw And Suplexed Dana Brooke (VIDEO)

Ronda Rousey didn’t appear on WWE RAW but did appear after RAW in a segment with Dana Brooke.

Ronda entered the ring and was interrupted by Dana, who called Rousey a nobody that still had to start “at the back of the line.”

Brooke went on to say she couldn’t wait for Stephanie McMahon to make Ronda her property at WrestleMania 34 and told Ronda to get out of the ring.

However, Dana’s threat didn’t work and she was suplexed for her troubles (seen in video below).

As we previously reported, Ronda will appear at all Raw events leading up to WrestleMania — despite last week’s mishap — but it’s possible some appearances will be dark segments.

Triple H Announces That Ronda Rousey Will Compete At WrestleMania 35

During the Wrestlemania press conference, Triple H announced that Ronda Rousey will compete at Wrestlemania from the MetLife Stadium in New York and New Jersey. He didn’t reveal an opponent. He named her various accomplishments before introducing her. Rousey showed up and had a stare down before Triple H left. He said at the time that he hopes that Rousey “doesn’t hurt myself and my wife too badly.” Rousey will team with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlemania 34.

Ronda Rousey Added Back To All WWE RAWs Before WrestleMania 34, Why Rousey Missed RAW

Ronda Rousey is once again scheduled to appear on every RAW through WrestleMania.

WWE announced last week that Rousey would be appearing on every RAW until WrestleMania, only for her to not appear on last Monday’s show. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Rousey was actually not supposed to be on Monday’s show because she was taking her medicals in Pittsburgh, and that the WWE announcement was a mistake. WWE has since deleted their original article about Rousey’s RAW appearances, which now forwards to her profile page.

Rousey will make her WWE debut at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday, April 8th in New Orleans. She will team up with Kurt Angle to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

WWE Deletes Article Announcing Ronda Rousey On Every Pre-WrestleMania Raw

WWE announced last week that Ronda Rousey would appear on every episode of Raw prior to WrestleMania 34 — but the article has been deleted after that didn’t happen.

As we previously reported, the announcement claimed she’d make an appearance tonight at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. However, she was nowhere to be found on the show.

The article that appeared on WWE.com now re-directs to Ronda’s Superstar page. It also appears as though the company deleted the announcement posts on social media.

While not officially advertised, WWE is teasing Ronda Rousey for Monday’s RAW in Milwaukee. They posted the following teaser for Rousey and Monday’s show:

How will Ronda Rousey repay Triple H and Stephanie McMahon?After Ronda Rousey forced Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon to apologize for slapping her at WWE Elimination Chamber, Triple H laid out Raw General Manager Kurt Angle with a cheap shot that left The Olympic Hero laid out on the mat.

Following the altercation, Rousey took to social media to remind Stephanie and The Game that “This is far from over,” hinting that retribution for their actions was forthcoming.

Whatever Rousey does next, you won’t want to miss it.
