Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and current WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey, can add yet another accolade to her illustrious combat sports career, which already boasts a mixed martial arts (MMA) world title, as well as a bronze medal in Olympic Judo.

The International Sports Hall of Fame, class of 2018.

The ceremony takes place March 3, 2018, as part of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, a 501(c) Non Profit Foundation “established to honor the world’s greatest athlete legends in all sports.”

Joining “Rowdy” at this year’s induction ceremony is WWE wrestler and movie star David Bautista, former UFC champion Bas Rutten, New Zealand television personality Phil Keoghan, and Dr. Terry and Jan Todd, who did a bunch of stuff that I’m sure was important.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle announced on Instagram that he will be appearing at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH on March 3rd from 12-3pm. Angle will be appearing at the Barndad Nutrition Booth.

Rousey will also be receiving her 6th degree black belt in Judo that weekend while her mother, AnnMaria De Mars, will receive her 7th degree black belt.

Image result for Ronda Rousey Puts Triple h through table

As noted, Ronda Rousey’s RAW contract signing at tonight’s pay-per-view saw her put Triple H through a table, which led to Stephanie McMahon slapping Rousey. This was done to set up the WrestleMania 34 tag team match with Rousey and a partner vs. Triple H and Stephanie. Stephanie appeared on the post-Chamber edition of RAW Talk on the WWE Network and said she will be on RAW tomorrow night with Rousey, Triple H and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle to “air everything out” and move forward.

Ronda Rousey Signs WWE Contract At Elimination Chamber, Confrontation With Triple H & Stephanie

Out first comes RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Triple H’s music hits next and out he comes with RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. There’s a table in the ring with Rousey’s contract and 4 microphones.

Fans chant for Triple H as Stephanie takes the mic. She says we’re all about to be a part of history as they sign one of the top female athletes. Triple H talks about how they search the globe looking for the best men and women. Triple H says this might be one of the biggest ever and he can’t think of one as big since they welcomed another Olympian, Kurt Angle. Triple H goes on about some of Rousey’s accomplishments. Fans give him the “what!?” treatment. Triple H says Rousey earned the right he thinks, to call herself the baddest woman on the planet. Triple H calls on everyone to welcome to WWE, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey. The music hits and out she comes, all smiles.

Stephanie asks Rousey to let her be the first to officially welcome her to WWE. Stephanie says the fans are making it perfectly clear that they want to hear from her, not Stephanie. “Hey guys,” says Rousey. Rousey says she’s not often speechless but to be in the ring with these people… Rousey fumbles some of her words. Rousey says it really is an honor. Fans chant her name now. Rousey says she wouldn’t be here at all if it weren’t for her hero, the late WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper. She talks about wanting to make his family proud. She wants to earn respect from fans in the ring. Triple H says Rousey didn’t want anything special put into the contract – no perks, no special travel, no private cars. Rousey says she doesn’t want to be treated any different. Triple H says all she asked for was an invite to WrestleMania and not only does she have that, she will be competing at WrestleMania. Fans pop. Not in a title match but a match, he says. She says she doesn’t want to be given a title match, she wants to earn it. She thanks Triple H again. Triple H calls on Stephanie to do the honors. She presents Rousey with the contract and its signed.

Triple H and Angle talk things over while Rousey and Stephanie go over the contract. Rousey asks if Kurt wants to say something. He says no, he’s just in awe of Triple H and Stephanie because they’re really brilliant. Angle has listened to them talk about Rousey since he came back to WWE. Angle says they couldn’t wait to get Rousey to WWE because they wanted to manipulate her for what happened at WrestleMania 31. Triple H looks pissed, staring at Angle. Angle says they want to put their thumb on Rousey and keep her down. “3 years in the making and now we own the b—h,” Angle alleges Triple H said. Triple H hushes him up. He says tonight is about Rousey, making dreams come true and Rousey becoming a WWE Superstar, not any of them. Triple H says Angle is not feeling well and is having a relapse after being in the hospital with the flu this weekend. Triple H tells Stephanie to wrap the contract up while he gets Angle out of the ring and to the doctor. Stephanie admits they have been talking about her since WrestleMania and did embarrass them there but they want her to be a part of WWE now. Stephanie is ready to finalize the deal and make Ronda a WWE Superstar. Angle speaks from the stage and says Stephanie called Ronda a has-been backstage, saying she could take Ronda one-on-one. Triple H hurries Angle to the back. Rousey stares Stephanie down and backs her against the ropes. Triple H comes back to the ring and gets between them, backing Rousey off. Rousey bucks up and gets in Triple H’s face.

Rousey watches as Triple H gets Stephanie to leave the ring. Triple H walks back over but Rousey scoops him and slams him through the table. Fans pop for Rousey as she stands over Triple H. Stephanie comes over and slaps Rousey in the face. Stephanie berates Rousey now, asking who she thinks she is. Fans do the “you f–ked up” chant now. Rousey stares at Stephanie, causing her to run from the ring. Rousey signs the contract and tosses it onto Triple H, who is still down in the debris. Rousey leaves the ring as her music hits. Rousey marches up the ramp as Stephanie checks on Triple H. Rousey looks back and keeps walking to the back as we go to replays. Triple H slowly gets to his feet and tosses a piece of the table as Stephanie helps him leave the ring.

Paul Heyman Says Brock Lesnar ‘Always Ready’ For UFC Return, Talks Being An Advocate For Ronda Rousey

Paul Heyman Paul Heyman's

Paul Heyman recently spoke with TMZ (transcript via WrestleZone), here are the highlights…

On a potential return to UFC for Brock Lesnar: I think Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in UFC then Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in WWE then he will fight in WWE. Ask Braun Strowman. Ask Randy Orton. Ask THE UNDERTAKER. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.

On if the time away from UFC makes it harder for Brock Lesnar to return there: The time away actually makes him better because his body get a chance to heal. The problem with all these UFC fighters is, and they are all fantastic athletes, top of the world, they all wear their bodies down in these training camps. All these guys that are cutting weight are destroying their bodies. Brock Lesnar is probably the healthiest fighter to enter UFC if he decides to do that. He’s always ready. Always.

On the rumors that Paul Heyman may have interest in advocating for Ronda Rousey: Why limit the people I have my eye on to just Ronda Rousey? I have my eye on anyone who is a top box office attraction. I have my eye on Ens Kanter of the New York Knicks. I have my eye on Aaron Judge and Luis Severino of the New York Yankees.

On if he would venture into other sports other than just combat sports: How do you know other sports aren’t coming to me? When you are the best advocate on the face of the entire planet, you’re in demand. My plate is full. When you advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar that’s a 24/7 job. If I happen to find an extra moment or two in my schedule for someone else… that’s just a whole bunch of side cash for me.

Former UFC champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey made her official debut as part of WWE on Sunday night at the close of the Royal Rumble PPV in Philadelphia.

According to ESPN.com, the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion has agreed to terms on a full-time contract with the WWE going forward.

Rousey provided a quote to ESPN about her WWE debut tonight.

“This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.’”

WWE had Rousey shake hands with Stephanie McMahon to close the PPV following an in-ring confrontation with Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Asuka (the winner of the first ever women’s Royal Rumble).

ESPN is already featuring an interview with Rousey about her WWE signing.

Ronda Rousey has been subject to a lot of speculation as she’s currently the betting favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, Rousey herself spoke with TMZ and said that she will not be in Philadelphia this Sunday, as she has plans.

She said: “I’m actually leaving to Colombia right now to finish shooting ‘Mile 22’ and won’t be back until mid February.

She added that even though she recently had a dinner with Triple H, there is still no deal in place between herself and WWE.

We will know for sure this Sunday. She says she won’t be there but remember Jeff Hardy said he and Matt wouldn’t be at WrestleMania last year and we all know what happened then.

Triple H Says ‘Stay Tuned’ About Ronda Rousey Coming To WWE

The rumors continue to swirl about not only the potential of Ronda Rousey coming to the WWE Universe, but potentially making her debut at the Royal Rumble this Sunday. This year’s PPV will have the first-ever 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match and it could be a place where Rousey kicks off her WWE career. Yesterday, The Blast caught up with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon during a Make-A-Wish celebration, and asked about Rousey’s status. Triple H kept his response very brief.

“I will tell you this,” Triple H said. “Stay tuned.”

Over the past couple months, reports about Rousey and the WWE have gone from an “imminent signing” to Triple H having to dial back those claims.

As noted, about two weeks ago Rousey had dinner with Triple H, and despite previous reports of Rousey coming to WWE, Triple H had continued to down play the whole situation. Talking with the Associated Press just after the news about their meeting broke, he said the company’s relationship with her is great, but had nothing to announce.

“We are talking to Ronda, as we’ve been for a while,” Triple H said. “She has a lot of things going on. We have a lot of things going on. But we have a great relationship with her, a very friendly standpoint for a long period of time now. It was great to catch up with her. … We have nothing to announce at this time. But she’s a huge fan of what we do and she’s incredibly interested in what we do and the opportunities that lie there. We’re fans of hers and incredibly interested in what those opportunities could be with us. But there’s a lot of things to walk through. We’re talking. We’re having conversations.”

Before folding and being absorbed by the UFC, Rousey was the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion and was later awarded the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship in 2012 at the UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz Press Conference. Rousey successfully defended the title six times. Currently, she holds a 12-2 MMA record, losing her last two fights against Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.

Triple H Reportedly Spotted After Dinner With Ronda Rousey And Her Agent (Video)

ronda rousey royal rumble wwe triple h meeting agent

A secret dinner session between Ronda Rousey, her agent and Triple H reportedly went down last night in Los Angeles … adding further speculation to a women’s Royal Rumble appearance.

TMZ published video which claims to show Triple H sneaking out of Republique around 8:30 pm. Ronda and her agent were next to leave, but neither were looking to reveal much.

When asked about Ronda’s future in WWE, however, the agent gave one big shoulder shrug.

As we previously reported, Rousey is scheduled to be filming a Mark Wahlberg movie in Colombia while the Rumble is taking place. However, our report noted that a deal being worked out at the last minute was possible and a meeting during SmackDown Live on the other side of the country would seem to indicate that they’re at least trying to book her for something.
