Yesterday AJ picked up the award for Diva of the year at the Slammys on Raw. In her acceptance speech she name dropped some of the NXT wrestlers such as Bayley and Sasha Banks. She even named dropped Emma and Paige. It was a moment that generated mixed reactions.
For the most part people saw it as AJ giving the future of the company respect a passing of the torch so to speak, while others thought it as a diss to the total divas cast?
How so you ask? Well one would argue why couldn’t she had named droop Naomi, or Eva, or summer, or even her opponent for this Sunday Nikki Bella? Not to mention the fact that Nikki posted what seemed like a shoot to AJ Lee on her Instagram account. (Check it out here) http://instagram.com/p/wXv2ucCkJE/
So what do you think was it a diss or a sign of respect? No matter what side your on this moment has people taking and after all that’s the good thing. One should also take notice that AJ isn’t advertised for any WWE events after this Sundays TLC&stairs PPV this Sunday. Was last night AJ’s final Raw appearance? Only time will tell and I’m sure it’ll be in the near future.
