Kathy Colace & John Laurinaitis Get Divorced

During a recent appearance on the “Nikki & Brie Show,” Kathy Colace, the mother of Nikki and Brie Garcia, stated that she is no longer married to John Laurinaitis.

Laurinaitis was mentioned in the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who alleged that Laurinaitis committed sexual assault.

Brie said, Is it fine to tell everyone that you’re divorced? She’s not single and ready to mingle, by no means. She is, I feel like, enjoying your independent time. People are curious to know where you’re at.

Kathy added, The thing is, Brie is very protective. It’s because Brie’s not going through it. If Brie was going through something, and Nicole, I would be very protective. I will tell you how the experience is from someone that goes through it. You need time, you need silent. This is for anyone. We all have our stories and we all have our challenges. My thought is, let yourself feel every emotion. One day, life is fine, and the next day you’re hit with something that just rocks your world. You actually feel a paralysis to yourself. If you stay on any type of social media, everyone has great advice, what they think is advice, and they have no idea what you’re going through. You need to give people grace. Everyone involved. Whether you’re siding with one person or the other. Give everybody grace. As a person going through it, you need to feel anger, heartbreak, sadness, and recovery. Our body is made to feel emotion. When you tuck an emotion away, it will find its way out. My recommendation for anybody going through anything challenging, give yourself some grace, allow yourself to feel all the emotions that you’ll feel, and sit in silence and appreciate yourself. You will get through this. If you need outside help to get through it, seek outside help. In regards to the haters, you’re going to hate. Maybe find it in yourself to give everyone grace, Hopefully you’re not treating people close to you with hate.”

On September 3, 2015, Laurinaitis became engaged to Kathy Colace. The two were married in a private ceremony on March 24, 2016.

Read: All The Alleged Vince McMahon Text Messages In Janel Grant’s WWE Lawsuit – (WARNING Contains Graphic Details)

The following article contains graphic accounts of physical abuse and sexual assault, as well as sexually explicit language throughout.

WWE was rocked in January as Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against the company, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis under allegations of gross sexual misconduct. The complaint detailed graphic accounts of McMahon and Laurinaitis partaking in systemic exploitation of Ms. Grant, with alleged texts reflecting McMahon objectifying and degrading her, sometimes even as a bargaining chip in negotiations. Wrestling Inc. has read through the entirety of Janel Grant’s complaint, and what follows is a collation of those alleged text messages from McMahon in a chronological timeline.

In Exhibit 63 of the complaint, it’s alleged that on April 1, 2019 — before her eventual hiring by WWE — Grant texted McMahon about a meeting she had with an unnamed corporate officer earlier in the day, during which she remarked on his signature T-Rex skull on his office wall. McMahon is alleged to have responded, “[sic] btw if Ur a BAD girl the T-rex will eat U.” “Seriously Janel wherever U land in WWE U will be a credit to the organization.”

In Exhibits 72-77, it’s recalled that Grant visited McMahon at his condo on May 5, 2019; during this time, he allegedly made several sexual advances despite Grant making clear she felt uncomfortable with his actions. She had tried to talk to him about the product’s ongoing storylines, to which he suggested she watch “WWE Raw” and text him before the show. When she agreed, McMahon is alleged to have forcibly kissed her and attempted to undress her, spurring Grant to make an abrupt exit.

Vince McMahon allegedly filled Janel Grant’s inbox after starting with WWE

Exhibit 78 describes a subsequent text exchange between Janel Grant and Vince McMahon on the day of “Raw” as per McMahon’s suggestion. The complaint says Grant was shocked when McMahon appeared on the show and texted back in the middle of the live broadcast, noting that it was a nice message to receive.

The company hired Janel Grant in June 2019, and by this stage, it’s detailed how Grant engaged in sexual acts with McMahon under duress while her role was being finalized. She alleges that she attempted to break off their physical relationship after gaining employment, but McMahon insisted to the contrary and ignored her refusal to consent.

In Exhibit 96, Grant said she was surprised that she hadn’t had much work assigned to her, especially in comparison to her colleagues, who had complained about having too much. Rather, she said her inbox was only filled with controlling and sexual text messages from McMahon. In Exhibit 106, it’s stated that by the summer of 2019, Grant’s life had been consumed by McMahon’s presence. Within the office, she said she felt under surveillance as his allies surrounded her. Outside of the office, McMahon’s interactions with her were mostly of a sexual nature. He is described to have reduced his communication with her outside of sexting and fantasy talk, and any non-sexual texts related to life and/or work were either ignored or given short responses.

Sharing explicit content with a WWE referee

Exhibit 123 details Vince McMahon sending a message to Janel Grant, noting that he had been informed by a corporate officer that rumors were circulating about them on February 3, 2020. He said these rumors weren’t good for either of them, and she was temporarily relocated to the XFL’s workforce. Grant attempted to switch to XFL permanently, seeking an exit from her position with WWE, but McMahon denied her request. In Exhibit 126, it’s alleged that McMahon started to share explicit images of Grant with people, despite imploring her to remain quiet on the matter previously.

In Exhibit 127, it’s noted that McMahon allegedly texted Grant on March 26, 2020, describing in detail the circumstances surrounding him sharing the explicit images with a former WWE referee. McMahon described how said referee left to masturbate and told Grant that she’s made him happy. Meanwhile, Exhibit 129 details messages from March 30, 2020, in which McMahon told her that the referee had shown an explicit image of her to their friend, marking the beginning of him allegedly sharing images without her consent and encouraging others to spread them around.

Vince McMahon shares a detailed fantasy

Janel Grant is later described as having expressed concerns over the sharing of images with people she did not know, especially as they were explicit and showed her face. She asked Vince McMahon to convey that she had no intention of engaging in sexual acts with these people. However, Exhibit 133 onward describes a harrowing tale of Grant being coerced into a threesome with an associate of McMahon’s, referred to as a physical therapist from Alternative Clinic. As shown in Exhibit 138, McMahon allegedly detailed his fantasies of seeing her engaged in sexual relations.

“I LOVE it. That’s U Janel. U just can’t get enough can U? In the future it’s going to B so bad that you’ll demand to B fed twice a day and not just with [redacted] in a three way. Why not let others see the beautiful voluptuous body and watch U shake uncontrollably when U Cm. They’ll go out of their minds. Then I’ll find more friends and we’ll tie U up so Ur helpless. I’ll direct them to have their way any way they want! Who can make U [scream] the loudest!!! Maybe I’ll just line them up and have [them] squirt in Ur mouth, Ur py all over your ts and a all at the same time. You’ll B covered in cm and we’ll make U eat it all and taste everybody’s c*m. The next morning you’ll B a little sore but Ur still going to want more…”

These weren’t the only texts of this nature either. Afterward, it’s alleged that McMahon’s messages to Grant became even more sexually charged and highlighted similar fantasies of trafficking her among other WWE employees.

Texts that portray Janel Grant as subservient

Exhibit 142 describes Vince McMahon becoming more sadistic, with his fantasies focused on control and scenarios in which Janel Grant would be overwhelmed and subservient in group settings.

“[Regarding] ur last picture. U need Ur panties ripped off and 3 BIG BLACK DS in ALL 3 holes at the same time!!! Way up ur py and way up ur a** as far as they will go but even farther. And the thickest ck goes down Ur throat so it makes U gag and convulse as those big black cks pound away it feels like from the start Ur being assaulted but it’s made U cm nonstop. Just one continuous orgasm and just before U pass out those big black dks squirt their loads of cm inside U! As U lay on ur stomach the c*m is coming out of all Ur holes, I’ll turn U over and jack off all over U.”

In Exhibit 143, it’s alleged that on one occasion, McMahon instructed Grant not to knock on his door, saying that he’d rape her in the hallway if he saw her. Exhibit 144 then details how McMahon is alleged to have texted about owning and controlling her, continuing to be sexually depraved in his messages. According to Exhibit 145, he ignored her when she mentioned her work anniversary with WWE. The next message detailed in the complaint reflects McMahon’s alleged bragging over the sharing of explicit imagery of Grant with other men, noting that they all wanted to engage in sexual relations with her.

A fantasy involving WWE’s tech crew

The complaint also notes that Vince McMahon openly shared explicit images and salacious stories about Janel Grant with WWE crew members at TV tapings. McMahon allegedly referred to this group as her “fan club,” and sent her a text in which he admitted to showing her photos to the staffers, before highlighting his fantasy to traffic Grant to each of them.

“I just passed my phone around to a bunch of guys on the tech crew. They were screaming!! ‘OMG’. ‘She’s fing beautiful’. ‘Look at that a‘. ‘I’d like to get that’. I paused to count out loud how many guys there were, 12. I then said ‘OK there’s 12 of U and she would love to f each and every one of U at one time’, (the guys cheered), ‘But she will only do it if she takes 3 at the time!’ (that brought a huge reaction) ‘She wants one deep in her a, one way down her throat and one in her p*y and U can pound her and keep on pounding her till U pop Ur load. She may scream and say NO!! Although it would B difficult to say anything with a ck down her throat,’ (they laughed), I then said ‘listen no matter what just pound away until U squirt!'”

The rest of the text details how McMahon told Grant that the crew was driven wild by his stories of her sexual abilities, coupled with his fantasy to share her with them in a group scenario. He concluded by telling her to imagine the fantasy actually happening.

Trafficking Janel Grant to John Laurinaitis and others

John Laurinaitis is named in the complaint within Exhibit 152 as another third party with whom Vince McMahon is alleged to have forced Janel Grant to enter into a sexual relationship. McMahon is alleged to have facilitated explicit image exchanges between them, including telling Grant when to create them, what to say, and providing her notes to adjust her performance. Following a three-way encounter involving McMahon, Laurinaitis, and Grant, McMahon allegedly texted her that Laurinaitis had hugged him like a bear and thanked him a dozen times for setting up the encounter. On February 5, 2021, as described in Exhibit 158, McMahon wanted Grant to establish a schedule for when other men could engage in relations with her.

“[Redacted] called me this afternoon begging to eat U and f* U with his nice (hard) dk,” to which Janel Grant is shown to reply, “Give me another week baby and I’ll be ready. I’m feeling more like myself. It’s not great but it’s getting better. Tell him soon!!!!.” To this, McMahon replied, “I already told him baby. [By the way, John Laurinaitis] wants Tuesdays but not this coming one and the occasional Saturday but maybe I can shift it to Thursday nights?? ([Laurinaitis] would like ALL of the above).”

Exhibit 168 continues to describe McMahon’s reinforcement that Grant was expected to sexually perform for him and Laurinaitis. On March 22, he wrote, “Do U promise to make me proud Baby? Will U show him what a prno star u can be? Will U show off for me like never before????,” and, “On days when he’s in town, I want him to f** U every morning and later in the office too.”

Telling Janel Grant to obey John Laurinaitis

Per Exhibit 169, Vince McMahon indicated on April 2, 2021, that Janel Grant should obey if John Laurinaitis wanted to bring in more men during their sexual encounters. Furthermore, McMahon suggested that she try out other men with Laurinaitis before introducing them to him, believing it would make them feel more comfortable.

The complaint continues to describe the trauma that Grant had endured at the hands of McMahon and Laurinaitis, as well as executives who enabled and ignored the malpractice. Exhibit 179 displays another alleged message from McMahon to Grant, “Those compliments will keep on coming baby. Just wait and see. I totally understand and agree [regarding] being scared of communication and photos. [Laurinaitis] gets drunk and sloppy and could easily make a mistake that could cost him his job and Urs too. Verbal communication is the way to go. That said, have U and [Laurinaitis] talked about breakfast tomorrow?”

The rest of the text details Grant’s response to McMahon, revealing that she hadn’t scheduled a meeting with John Laurinaitis as he complained about a new phone. She then noted that she wanted reassurance that he’d erased everything, and told McMahon that it wasn’t worth the stress she’d been feeling regarding her and Laurinaitis’ communications.

Janel Grant’s Involvement in Negotiations with a WWE Superstar

After further horrific accounts of Vince McMahon violently sexually assaulting Janel Grant, coupled with continued attempts to solicit her to his associates, Exhibit 196 describes him texting a reminder that she was his slave. The next Exhibit alleges that McMahon continued to advertise a sexual encounter between Grant and a WWE Superstar in active negotiations with the company at the time, writing, “Here’s what [Redacted] said after I told him that part of the deal was f*ing U, ‘Lol, that’s your turf!! She will be ruined after me and leave your a! Plus after me your tool won’t fit anymore!!'”

Brock Lesnar was identified as the WWE Superstar described in the lawsuit. It’s alleged that McMahon ordered Grant to create personalized sexual content for the former UFC fighter, and a rendezvous had even been scheduled. However, plans fell through after Grant made excuses to back out. In 2022, McMahon was alleged to have abruptly distanced himself from Grant due to his wife, Linda McMahon, discovering their relationship and threatening him with a public divorce. Thus, McMahon allegedly pushed a non-disclosure agreement with Grant as the best way forward for all involved.

On January 24, 2022, while talks of an NDA were ongoing, McMahon allegedly continued to engage in sexual text message exchanges with Grant, as described in Exhibit 213, including encouraging her to send an explicit image to the WWE Superstar and requesting that she send him the content she had sent to him.

Former WWE Star Paul Roma Alludes To More Severe Allegations Against Company Executives

The last several years have seen various allegations against Vince McMahon and WWE come to light, with the former CEO accused of a wide range of sexual misconduct. Last month, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a civil lawsuit against the company, McMahon, and former executive John Laurinaitis that features allegations of sex trafficking and rape. According to former WWE performer Paul Roma while speaking to NewsNation, there are even more insidious stories that haven’t yet been told publicly.

Roma declined to go into specifics of one specific story that Roma agreed was “even worse” than the Grant allegations but stated that he and fellow WWE alum Mario Mancini had recently spoken about the matter. Both men were surprised the story hadn’t been made public yet but also understood why someone might be reluctant to dredge up old wounds on such an open stage. Additionally, when asked if the recent allegations against McMahon sounded like the version of McMahon that he knew, Roma confirmed that it did.

“It was pretty regular,” Roma said, referring to tales of McMahon’s inappropriate actions. “You heard it on a regular basis, for the most part. Then you wouldn’t hear it for a while, then it would come full circle.”

In addition to allegations involving McMahon himself, Roma stated that other WWE executives leveraged the careers of performers in exchange for sex. If Roma’s allegations are true, it’s a pattern of behavior that is also reflected in Grant’s lawsuit. The former WWE star recalled some former professional wrestlers who quit the business rather than give in to the demands of company executives.

Roma regularly performed in WWE (then known as the WWF) from 1984 to 1991. Through part of that time, Roma was in a tag team called the Young Stallions with a wrestler named Jim Powers, whom Roma now says was propositioned by someone in the company.

“He said he went to one of the agents and told them what had happened,” Roma stated. “And I said, ‘Why would you do that? You just ratted on both of us.’ So he kind of threw us both under the bus just starting out.”

Powers shared what had happened with a WWE producer Roma refers to as “Arnold,” with Roma making it clear he thought that would be the end of their push as a tag team, under the assumption that the producer would go back and tell the executives that Powers had said something. Roma did not elaborate on when this incident occurred or whether it had any effect on how the team was presented after that.

The retired wrestler was also asked to clarify whether or not he was certain that the ones attempting to proposition performers were executives within WWE. According to Roma, the people in positions of power within the company are the only ones who could have the leverage to make the types of threats that were being made.

More Details Regarding The Lawsuit Filed Against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis And WWE

Fightful Select has provided a new update on the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE. Fightful Select notes the lawsuit continues to be looked into.

Fightful Select has said they are working with additional mainstream media outlets on their efforts to cover the lawsuits, and will continue to look into the allegations and the lawsuit.

As it pertains to the heavy speculation of who unnamed executives are in the lawsuit, it all still remains a mystery. One source high up in WWE told Fightful that they are of the belief that one of the executive had “long been gone from WWE.”

Former WWE Executive John Laurinaitis has been very outspoken through his attorney, which one source said to Fightful they saw coming. The same source, who is a longtime WWE employee, said they effectively had looked at Laurinaitis as being Vince McMahon’s “fall guy” since the summer of 2022, but also figured that he had a golden parachute that has taken care of him financially. The same source said the looming possibility of actual charges being filed is what many in WWE saw as the main reason for Laurinaitis turning on McMahon.

Another source told Fightful Select, they think Laurinaitis is doing himself favors by saying that management knew and that proper WWE protocols were followed, but too many things happened there under his watch.”

Fightful Select said they had been in contact with Ashley Massaro in March 2019 to set up an interview in Las Vegas that May at Starrcast II. This part of the report notes Massaro was hoping to talk about her plans to resume in-ring training, and said she was weighing whether or not to open up further about her claims that was raped while on a WWE Tribute to the Troops tour in Kuwait back in 2006. Sadly, at just age 39, Massaro committed suicide two weeks prior to Starrcast II.

Futhermore, Fightful Select said based on the talent spoken to, they have not been briefed or told that they cannot speak about the nature of the lawsuit in interviews or appearances and several have been asked about it. Fightful Select added that while they heard thus far that no other companies are actively participating in the investigations, they have heard that talent from several other United States based companies have been given the okay to speak about issues or participate in the investigations if they feel comfortable doing so.

Fightful Select concluded by saying that they spoke to one former talent who has indicated they are weighing the options of whether to tell their story through the media, or whether or not they want to take legal action. Fightful Select did not disclosure the name of this talent, due to the talent not giving their approval for their name to be made public.

John Laurinaitis Seemingly Confirms Vince McMahon Allegations, Says He’s Also A Victim

Last Thursday, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a 67-page lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and former WWE executive John Laurinitis outlining allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and a number of other abuses. McMahon has since resigned from his corporate positions at TKO Group Holdings despite denying the accusations against him. Laurinitis, on the other hand, has seemingly confirmed the allegations against McMahon — though not the allegations against himself.

According to a statement provided by Laurinitis’ lawyer, Edward Brennan (via VICE News), the former WWE Head of Talent Relations maintains that he is a victim in this case, much like the plaintiff, Janel Grant.

“Mr. Laurinaitis denies the allegations in the misguided complaint and will be vigorously defending these charges in court, not the media,” Brennan wrote on Laurinaitis’ behalf. “Like the plaintiff, Mr. Laurinaitis is a victim in this case, not a predator. The truth will come out.”

When Brennan was then asked to clarify whether he was claiming McMahon was the predator in this case, he wrote, “Read the allegations. Read the Federal Statute. Power, control, employment supervisory capacity, dictatorial sexual demands with repercussions if not met. Count how many times in the complaint Vince exerts control over both of them.”

As cited in the lawsuit, Laurinaitis was named as one of the men that McMahon allegedly recruited for Grant to regularly have sex with, both with and without McMahon himself involved. Grant was supposedly told to create “explicit content” for Laurinaitis, who she also claims raped her alongside McMahon inside Laurinaitis’ office in WWE Headquarters. Grant’s lawsuit charges Laurinaitis with civil battery, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, and violation of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000.

Vince McMahon Resigns From WWE, TKO Group Holdings Amidst Sex Trafficking Allegations

Vince McMahon’s role in WWE and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings, has come to an end. During Friday night’s broadcast of “WWE SmackDown,” Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE President Nick Khan had sent the following memo to some staff:

“I wanted to inform you that Vince McMahon has tendered his resignation from his positions as TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors. He will no longer have a role with TKO Group Holdings or WWE.”

Shortly after Sapp’s report, McMahon issued a statement to Deadline.

“I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth,” McMahon said, echoing his initial denial. “I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name.”

“However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately,” he said.

The news comes one day after news broke that former WWE employee Janel Grant had filed civil suit against McMahon and another former employee, John Laurinitis, alleging “physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and trafficking at WWE.” The allegations, which a TKO spokesperson referred to as “horrific,” resulted in major WWE sponsor Slim Jim putting its deal with the company on pause one day before they were set to sponsor the Royal Rumble.

After McMahon resigned from TKO, Slim Jim agreed to the sponsorship again.

Vince McMahon Sued Over Sex Trafficking Claim By Former Employee Who Took Hush Money Payments

The following comes from a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Janel Grant accuses the wrestling mogul of coercing her into sex with him and others at the company. She calls the company probe into sexual misconduct allegations a “sham.”

WWE founder Vince McMahon and a former executive have been sued for sex trafficking and battery by a ex-administrative employee, who questioned the extent of the company’s investigation into hush money payments after she wasn’t interviewed despite stating her cooperation.

Janel Grant, in a lawsuit filed in Connecticut federal court on Thursday, said she was coerced by McMahon into having sex with him and others at the company at his direction during his tenure as chief executive of the wrestling outfit. WWE was named in the complaint for attempting to “conceal the wrongdoing.”

The suit escalates growing legal troubles for the company tied to payments by McMahon to silence sexual misconduct allegations. He initially retired in 2022 amid the probe, only to return the next year by using his power as WWE’s controlling shareholder to appoint himself and two former executives to its board, which went on to name him executive chairman. McMahon in November was sued in a shareholder complaint over his corporate coup that paved that path for him to merge the sports entertainment powerhouse with Endeavor’s UFC. It accused him of accepting a sweetheart deal that allowed him to stay on as executive chairman of TKO Group and avoid scrutiny in connection with the probe that could’ve ousted him from the company.

In a statement, a spokesperson for McMahon said, “This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth.”

WWE didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the lawsuit, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

According to the complaint, Grant in 2019 was directly hired by McMahon as an administrator-coordinator in WWE’s legal department. While McMahon was chief executive, she alleged he “recruited individuals to have sexual relations” with her and directed her to engage in sexual activity at WWE headquarters during working hours.

The suit details a June 2021 assault by McMahon and John Lauriantis, former head of talent relations who was also named in the complaint.

“Behind a locked door, the two men cornered her and pulled her in between them, forcibly touched her, before ultimately putting her on top of a table in between them,” the complaint stated. “She begged them to stop, but they forced themselves on her, each taking turns restraining her for the other.”

According to the complaint, Grant was terminated when McMahon’s wife discovered the affair. She says she was coerced into signing a nondisclosure agreement under the threat of McMahon releasing pornographic content he captured and his vast legal resources.

“Ultimately, Ms. Grant succumbed to the pressure and signed the NDA in exchange for payments – which McMahon later stopped making,” the complaint stated.

Instead of intervening to address the alleged misconduct, Grant claims that WWE moved to “sweep the matter under the rug” with a payment of $3 million. She takes issue with the company’s board of directors touting the conclusion of the “sham” probe into sexual misconduct allegations by McMahon despite the special committee neglecting to interview or request documents from her.

Additionally, the suit calls into question WWE’s characterization of hush money payments from McMahon, which were initially footed by the company. In securities filings, WWE called the payouts  “immaterial accounting errors,” per the suit.

Grant claims suffers post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidal ideation due to the alleged misconduct. She seeks unspecified damages and brings claims for battery and violations of federal laws related to sex trafficking, as well as negligence against WWE.

Backstage News On WWE Terminating John Laurinaitis

There’s a backstage update on John Laurinaitis’ exit from WWE that has given fans insight into what his past few weeks in the company looked like.

Fightful Select confirmed that Laurinaitis was in fact fired last week, as was first reported earlier today. They reported that he was still looped into company e-mails until Triple H was named Executive Vice President of Talent Relations. He was apparently included in a series of company-wide e-mails containing sensitive information related to creative and personnel matters, but was briefly removed from mailing lists during the July 22 edition of “SmackDown”. He was added back to them the following week where he remained.

Laurinaitis’ name was also added to an internal termination list, which supposedly also included McMahon’s name. Several talents in WWE are reportedly happy that they no longer have to deal with him. One top star even called Laurinaitis the biggest snake in the business.

Unlike McMahon, Laurinaitis was placed on administrative leave during the board investigations into the reports of hush money payments made to former female employees to silence allegations of sexual abuse, harassment, and other misconduct. News first broke back in June that Laurinaitis and McMahon were both being investigated by WWE’s Board of Directors for payments that totaled over $15 millionMcMahon retired soon after to the shock of fans and WWE personnel alike. His daughter Stephanie and company President Nick Khan were named co-CEOs. Stephanie’s husband, Triple H was named as Laurinaitis’ replacement and assumed Vince McMahon’s duties as Head of Creative.

Laurinaitis was first hired by WWE as a road agent back in 2001 after he was brought over from WCW following the company’s purchase of its one-time rival. He was later named the Director of Talent Relations before climbing the company ladder to be promoted to Executive Vice President in 2009. He became an on-screen authority figure as the General Manager of “Raw” in 2011. He would become a road agent once more in 2012 before he was named the Head of Talent Relations again last year.

Bruce Prichard Assumes WWE Talent Relations Role, John Laurinaitis Placed On Leave [Report]

Bruce Prichard is reportedly filling in for John Laurinaitis, who has been placed on leave while the WWE board conducts its investigation.

As its board conducts an internal investigation into alleged hush payments, WWE has implemented a few personnel changes. As reported, Vince McMahon recently stepped aside as CEO and was replaced by his daughter Stephanie, now the company’s interim CEO and chairwoman. Another boardroom move was reportedly initiated on the evening of Monday, June 20, when Bruce Prichard was announced as WWE’s Interim Head of Talent Relations.

Per PW Insider, a Prichard will assume the role previously occupied by John Laurinaitis, who has been placed on “administrative leave”. The move was reportedly announced via an email to WWE personnel, which stated that Laurinaitis would not be on the road with WWE “pending the conclusion of our Board of Directors’ internal investigation.”

Prichard is also a Senior Vice President of WWE and serves as the Executive Director of both Raw and SmackDown.

On Wednesday, June 15 the Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell story that claims WWE’s board received an email containing details of a workplace affair McMahon conducted with a now-former WWE paralegal and the subsequent payments made in exchange for the unknown person’s silence.

The email alleges that the female paralegal was initially hired on a salary of $100,000 per year, but her salary was doubled after she began a sexual relationship with McMahon. Allegedly, when McMahon ended the relationship with the former WWE employee, he “gave her like a toy” to the company’s general manager of talent relations John Laurinaitis.

WWE Board Reportedly Investigating Vince McMahon Following Alleged Affair And Hush Payment

According to a bombshell Wall Street Journal piece, WWE CEO Vince McMahon is under investigation following an alleged affair with an employee.

Vince McMahon, WWE’s founder and CEO, is reportedly being investigated by the board of his own company after making an alleged hush payment to a former employee following an affair.

On Wednesday, June 15 the Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell story that claims WWE’s board received an email containing details of a workplace affair McMahon conducted with a now-former WWE paralegal and the subsequent payments made in exchange for the unmanned person’s silence.

According to WSJ’s report, the board’s investigation began in April and has discovered numerous non-disclosure agreements pertaining to allegations of misconduct leveled at McMahon and Laurinaitis.

Vince McMahon has been married to Linda McMahon, a former administrator of the United States Small Business Administration, since 1966. John Laurinaitis has been married to Kathy Colace, the mother of former WWE Superstars Nikki and Brie Bella, since 2016.

As we previously reported, Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon recently stood down from her role as WWE’s Chief Brand Officer.

As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” Stephanie tweeted. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”
