GFW Announces 4 Divisions

Global Force Wrestling has announced 4 divisions heading into their upcoming TV tapings on July 24th in Las Vegas. GFW issued the following:

Global Force Wrestling unveils name of TV show, divisions

NASHVILLE – Global Force Wrestling’s TV tapings on July 24 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas will carry the name “Amped.”

“Amped will be the show that unites promotions and show cases the very best men and women professional wrestlers on the planet,” GFW founder and CEO Jeff Jarrett said.

GFW also is excited to announce four unique divisions: GFW Global Championship, GFW Tag Team Championship, GFW Women’s Championship and GFW NEX*GEN Championship. These titles will be up for grabs in four separate tournaments that kick off on July 24 at the Orleans Arena.

“There is on doubt in my mind that I will be the first GFW Global Champion, and I will raise that title in Las Vegas,” former TNA Heavyweight champion Bobby Roode said.

When asked about the NEX*GEN division, Jarrett stated, “It’s about the up-and-comers, the fearless ne faces in this industry from around the globe. You will be talking about these guys for years to come.”

GFW co-founder Karen Jarrett is excited about the women’s division.

“We want to unite women’s divisions around the globe and give fans never-before-seen matchups with the best female wrestlers in the industry,” she said.

More Global Force Wrestling “Amped” tapings are set for the Orleans, on Aug. 21 and Oct. 23.

Eric Young Attacks Jeff Jarrett At GFW Grand Slam Tour Event, Steals KOTM Title

Eric Young attacked Jeff Jarrett at Thursday night’s Global Force Wrestling Grand Slam Tour event in Appleton, Wisconsin and stole the TNA King of the Mountain Title belt. Below is the video of the incident and a video of Young explaining his actions:

Name For GFW TV Show Announced

Jeff Jarrett revealed that the Global Force Wrestling TV show will be named Amped. The first GFW Amped TV tapings will take place on July 24th in Las Vegas. Below is the video in which Jarrett made the announcement:

Plans For GFW – TNA Invasion Angle

The GFW – TNA invasion angle is expected to kick off at the July 22nd TNA Impact Wrestling episode and continue through that week’s tapings and the July 24th Global Force Wrestling TV tapings in Las Vegas, where the first GFW Champion and GFW Women’s Champion will be crowned with tournaments.

Eric Young, Bobby Roode and other TNA stars will be sent to the GFW TV tapings. Young will also be working this weekend’s GFW Grand Slam Tour events to confront Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett wanted Matt Hardy to be one of the TNA stars sent for the angle but the deal hasn’t been confirmed yet. GFW stars confirmed for the GFW tapings include PJ Black (Justin Gabriel), Nick Aldis (Magnus), Chris Mordetzky (Chris Masters), IWGP Jr. Champion KUSHIDA, Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, Sanada, Mickie James and Lei’D Tapa. It’s possible some of these GFW stars will work the TNA tapings that week.

Mickie James Set For GFW TV Tapings

Karen Jarrett broke the news on Twitter that Mickie James will be part of the upcoming Global Force Wrestling TV tapings on July 24th in Las Vegas. Mickie will be competing in the GFW Women’s Championship tournament.

TNA VS GFW Storyline Update, Eric Young – GFW, Young & Jeff Jarrett Twitter Feud

The TNA VS GFW storyline is scheduled to continue at this months TNA TV tapings in Orlando. A big angle may go down on the July 22 episode of Impact Wrestling, just a few days before the first Global Force Wrestling TV tapings on July 24th in Las Vegas.

It was announced that TNA’s Eric Young will be at this weekend’s GFW Grand Slam Tour events in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Top TNA Star Set For GFW TV Tapings

The “It Factor” is coming to Las Vegas for Global Force Wrestling TV tapings.

GFW announced Wednesday night that TNA Star Bobby Roode will be in action at the July 24 GFW TV tapings in Las Vegas. Roode is still under contract to TNA, so this seems to be evidence that TNA and GFW will be working together.

Backstage Talk On Possible TNA – GFW Invasion Angle

F4Wonline.com reports that some of the TNA talents being released are actually being “transferred” as part of a TNA – GFW invasion angle. It’s expected that any TNA talent who is now in Global Force Wrestling, James Storm in particular, will be back on TNA TV in the near future.

Former TNA Star Joins Global Force Wrestling

Nick Aldis known as Magnus in TNA has signed on with Global Force Wrestling. His TNA contract just expired. Aldis is expected to be part of the next GFW Grand Slam Tour events on July 9 in Wisconsin, July 10 in Pennsylvania and July 11 in Ohio. He will also be headlining the first ever GFW world television taping on July 24 in Las Vegas.

“I’m ready to explore opportunities as a free agent that haven’t been open to me before. Jeff Jarrett has been instrumental in my career development and I have always respected him as a performer and promoter. As soon as I heard about GFW I knew that one way or another I would play a part. I’m very excited about that.” said Aldis.
