Team 3D and The Hardys to Battle One More Time at Bound For Glory

The Hardys have reclaimed their spot atop the TNA tag team ranks, walking out of Slammiversary 2025 as the new World Tag Team Champions. In a wild four-way ladder match, Matt and Jeff toppled The Rascalz, FIR$T CLA$$, and the reigning champs, The Nemeths — but it was how they won that had fans buzzing.

With every ladder at ringside destroyed in the chaos, Jeff Hardy revealed a backup plan straight out of his unpredictable playbook: a rope ladder lowered from the rafters. Jeff climbed the hanging ladder and snatched the titles, adding yet another chapter to The Hardys’ already legendary tag team legacy.

But the celebration didn’t last long. Moments after the win, Bully Ray made a surprise return to TNA, not only giving the brothers their due — but throwing down a challenge. Bully called for one more showdown: The Hardys vs. Team 3D at Bound For Glory, set for October 12th.

The Hardys didn’t hesitate. The match is on — two of the most iconic teams in wrestling history will collide once again on TNA’s biggest stage of the year.

ECW Legends Appeared At Last Night’s WWE NXT Show In Philly At The 2300 Arena

In a special episode last night of WWE NXT at the old ECW Arena (2300 Arena) in Philadelphia, PA, several ECW legends appeared on the show.

The Dudley Boyz reunited as Bubba Ray joined Trick Williams against Ethan Page and Ridge Holland, with D-Von providing a table for a big spot. Elsewhere, Tony D’Angelo defended his North American Title against Nunzio, settling an in-ring misunderstanding. Rob Van Dam also got involved, helping Je’Von Evans overcome Wes Lee after Lee tried to take out RVD backstage. Jaida Parker defeated Lola Vice in a hardcore match with Dawn Marie as the guest referee. Rhyno/Rhino delivered his signature Gore to Robert Stone during the segment where NXT GM Ava announced the NXT PLE Deadline. Plus the Queen of Extreme Francine made an appearance, sitting near ringside.

The Dudley Boyz (Team 3D) Have Reportedly Signed WWE Legends Contracts

Fans attending the taping of Impact Wrestling’s 1000th episode this weekend will witness the special reunion of Bully Ray and D-Von, collectively known as Team 3D in Impact (and the Dudley Boyz in WWE). Before they lace up their boots again, a new report shared an interesting tidbit about the team’s relationship with that other company.

Amidst a write-up penned by Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, it is noted that Bully Ray and D-Von recently inked legends contracts with WWE. The specific terms of those agreements are unknown, but with both men set to reunite at Impact 1000, and Bully still appearing as an active performer in the company, it seems there is at least a little freedom for them to seek work in promotions outside of WWE.

The Dudley Boyz’s last WWE match took place on the SummerSlam 2016 kick-off show as they faced the team of Sami Zayn and Neville. The duo were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the class of 2018.

In the years following their induction, D-Von took a major step back from wrestling as he dealt with some health issues, which included a back surgery, and a stroke that he suffered in 2020. Luckily, D-Von has since bounced back, and is now preparing for his in-ring return as he and Bully take on a pair of mystery opponents at Impact 1000.

Edge & Christian To Induct The Dudley Boyz Into The WWE Hall of Fame

WWE issued the following:

The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian took part in some of the most extreme battles in WrestleMania history, pushing each other to the absolute limits of what they could do with tables, ladders and chairs. This WrestleMania, the mood when the two pairs are in the same building will be a little less intense.

The duo that reeks of awesomeness will have the honor of inducting Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley into the WWE Hall of Fame during the 2018 Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 6, from New Orleans, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Edge & Christian and The Dudleys, along with The Hardy Boyz, were inextricably linked with each other during WWE’s Attitude Era, as they set new bars for what Superstars were willing to do in the chase for glory. Their Ladder Match at WrestleMania 2000 left the WWE Universe in awe, as the competitors risked their bodies in pursuit of the World Tag Team Championship. The teams topped themselves one year later at WrestleMania X-Seven in the bout they became known for: Tables, Ladders and Chairs. After the demolition derby of a match, they somehow survived, emerging from underneath mangled steel and splintered tables, having created a legacy that Superstars are still trying to top today.

In New Orleans, though, Edge & Christian will get to share stories about their rivals from inside the ring and out in their inimitable fashion when The Dudley Boyz take their place in sports-entertainment history.

What will Edge & Christian have to say about The Dudley Boyz? Find out during the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, streaming live on WWE Network Friday, April 6, at 8 ET/5 PT.

Tickets for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans are available now.

The Dudley Boyz Announced For The WWE Hall Of Fame

Dudley Boyz WWE Hall of fame

WWE has announced that The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, will be going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Dudleyz join Bill Goldberg as confirmed names for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 6th from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 weekend.

Below is WWE’s full announcement on the induction:

The Dudley Boyz to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018The WWE Hall of Fame will need to stock up on tables because The Dudley Boyz are moving in.

As first reported by CBS Sports, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley are the latest inductees in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. They will be inducted, alongside Goldberg, during the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 6, in New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 Week.

The Dudley Boyz’ journey to the WWE Hall of Fame began in Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1996, when Bubba Ray and D-Von, the sons of the unseen Big Daddy Dudley, were on opposite sides of a family feud among brothers clad in tie-dye and thick-rimmed glasses. Eventually, Bubba Ray and D-Von joined forces and kicked off two decades of tag team dominance.

In ECW, The Dudley Boyz were, perhaps, the promotion’s most reviled villains. Bubba Ray & D-Von could grab the microphone and antagonize audiences to the brink of full-scale riots. Once the bell rang, they were just as dangerous. With a predilection for punishing opponents by slamming them through tables and a devastating double-team maneuver known as the 3D in their arsenal, The Dudleys captured the ECW Tag Team Championship eight times before they left the land of extreme in 1999.

Bubba Ray & D-Von soon arrived in WWE, ditching the tie-dye for camouflage, but keeping the same nasty attitude that brought them success – not to mention a healthy stock of tables to drive their foes through. In WWE rings, The Dudley Boyz found a pair of teams just as willing to push competition to its extreme ends in The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian. The trio of tag teams turned the squared circle into their own demolition derby, using tables, ladders and chairs to punish one another. Their hardcore tendencies converged in the first-ever TLC Match at SummerSlam 2000 and led to a classic sequel on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania X-Seven.

By the time they left WWE in 2005, The Dudley Boyz had racked up eight reigns as World Tag Team Champions, one as WWE Tag Team Champions and one as WCW Tag Team Champions.

Ten years later, the 17-time tag team champions returned to WWE to compete with a new generation of Superstars, introducing teams like The New Day and The Usos to their brand of hardcore wrestling … and a few tables. Though they left WWE again in 2016, the WWE Universe never forgot them, as evidenced by the raucous reception they received at Raw 25 when Bubba Ray & D-Von arrived to put Heath Slater through a table with a thunderous 3D.

And now, The Dudley Boyz will take their rightful place in sports-entertainment history on what is sure to be an incredible night.

Tickets for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, taking place Friday, April 6, during WrestleMania 34 Week in New Orleans, are available now on Ticketmaster.

Goldberg To Headline 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame Class, Other Possible Inductees

Bill Goldberg was set to go into the WWE Hall of Fame this year in New Orleans, first reported by freelance writer Brad Shepard. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now confirmed that Goldberg will be the headliner of the 2018 class.

The Dudley Boyz were also on the original list of names reported and it’s possible WWE announces their induction during the RAW 25th Anniversary show on January 22nd as they were recently confirmed for that event. Besides Goldberg and The Dudleys, other names reported but unconfirmed as of this writing are Ivory and Bam Bam Bigelow, plus Kid Rock going into the Celebrity Wing.

Goldberg’s induction should be announced soon, possibly as early as Monday’s RAW, as tickets for the ceremony go on sale Friday, January 19th at 11am EST. The online pre-sale will begin next Wednesday via Ticketmaster.

The 2018 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, April 6th at 7:30pm EST from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. No word yet on a special broadcast for the USA Network but it will air on the WWE Network in its entirety.

The Dudley Boyz Reportedly Free Agents Again, Backstage News On What Happened After Their RAW Farewell

Source: WrestlingINC

The Dudley Boyz are once again free agents as their “goodbye” on last night’s RAW was legit and not part of a storyline.

It was recently reported that Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley both signed new deals with the company but according to PWInsider, they just agreed on terms for a new deal and some time in the past 7 days, the two sides amicably agreed to part ways as the contracts had not yet been officially executed.

It was agreed that the former Tag Team Champions would finish up on last night’s RAW and do the angle with The Shining Stars, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The beatdown with The Club was done to put some heel heat on them for ruining the big farewell, and to leave the door open for a potential match if The Dudleyz make a return.

Bubba and D-Von returned to the backstage area after the angle and the entire RAW roster, including officials and the McMahons, were waiting for them with a standing ovation.

No word yet on what is next for Bubba and D-Von but we will keep you updated. They continue to run their Team 3D Wrestling Academy in Florida but as of now, they are once again free agents.

Dudleyville Returns To WWE

The most decorated tag team in professional wrestling history The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & Devon) made a surprising return to WWE and put the WWE tag team division on noticed by destroying the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day. They hit Xavier Woods with What’s Up (diving headbutt and put him through a table with a 3D and had words with the Prime Time Players who was sitting at the announce table.

The Dudley Boyz were kept hidden at RAW and practically nobody knew they was there until they came to the gorilla position before hitting the ring.

It was announced that the Dudley Boyz will be on SmackDown this Thursday night on Syfy.

Team 3D would Like To Return To WWE & Revitalize Tag Division

“Team 3D” Bully Ray and Devon recently did a interview with Sorts Illustrated’s Extra Mustard site to promote the upcoming House of Hardcore event in Toronto.

Team 3D talked about wanting to return to WWE:

Devon: “For us not to be back there, knowing that we’re in the best shape we’ve ever been in, I don’t understand it. We’re better now than we were ten or fifteen years ago. I understand that they want the future. But without the older generation that paved the way for these younger guys to come, you’re not going to have it. Wrestling is a lost art, so you need the older guys like us to help show the younger guys how it’s done. I don’t understand it, though I know it needs to be on their terms.”

Bully Ray: “Take the Dudley Boyz and put them back in WWE, and you’d add instant credibility to the tag division. The great thing about the Dudleys is we can work with any team and we can work any style. Not only will we help one team get over and learn and get better, but we can help all of them. It seems pretty simple to me – having the Dudleys back in WWE is best for business, so I don’t have a really great answer for why we are not there. Only they know. You would think the most decorated tag team in history of WWE would be able to go back into a company and breathe life into the tag division. It may never happen, but you never say never. It could be right around the corner.”
