Dixie Carter On If TNA Plans To Sign Released WWE Talent

SportsKeeda recently interviewed TNA President Dixie Carter while she was in India in May.

If TNA is looking to sign former WWE talent:

“Yes, there are some great talent on the market right now, and there hasn’t been for a while. So, I think that there are some big opportunities for us to see if a couple of names that are available fit with what we’re trying to do right now. You know, great in-ring product, great personality and ability to show, to have big characters and we’re very excited about that.”

Dixie Carter will talk with some of WWE’s newly released talent as soon as her company is allowed — at least that’s what the President of TNA Wrestling predicted in a new interview.

Speaking with The Fan Garage … Carter said, “There are definitely some talented wrestlers on the market right now … and I do see ourselves talking with them. I think it would be exciting to bring a few of them into TNA.”

One of the wrestlers Dixie could be referring to is Cody Rhodes. He was released Sunday and issued a lengthy statement afterward in which he griped about his lack of an important role in WWE — plus, his wife Eden Stiles is now available as well.

Dixie could also be talking about Adam Rose. He was granted his requested release after what WWE said was a wellness policy violation in April. However, we’re assuming TNA would wait for his domestic dispute situation to play out in court first.

Other recently released WWE wrestlers include Alex Riley, Damien Sandow, Santino Marella,Cameron, El Torito and Hornswoggle. Wade Barrett was also let out of his contract early.

Carter certainly has a bevy of former WWE talent to consider.

Dixie Carter & Billy Corgan Reveal Plans For The TNA World Heavyweight Title

TNA President Dixie Carter and Billy Corgan addressed the TNA World Heavyweight Title situation and injunction storyline with Matt Hardy and EC3.

Dixie said she was ready to fight the injunction at all cost but after talking with Matt Hardy yesterday, she made the decision to accept Matt relinquishing the title.

There will be a “World Title Series” beginning tonight on Impact Wrestling, that will eventually crown a new champion. Corgan says they are confident this will give them the champion they need.

 

Dixie Carter Makes Announcement About India

Dixie Carter announced today that TNA will be going to India this month for a media tour and talent search. TNA stars EC3, Mahabali Shera and Rebel will going. While they are there they will make an announcement regarding to India.

TNA announced that President Dixie Carter will make a major announcement this coming Monday at 12 noon ET on their website, impactwrestling.com.

New TNA Authority Figure To Be Revealed Next Week

Dixie Carter made her return to TV on last night’s Impact Wrestling, and now is a babyface. Dixie tweeted a message to her nephew TNA World Heavyweight Champion EC3:

Dixie Carter Confirms Jeff Jarrett Inducted Into TNA Hall Of Fame

Dixie Carter confirmed on Twitter that she inducted Jeff Jarrett into the TNA Hall of Fame during Saturday night’s Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando.

The ceremony should air in late July or Early August.

Possible Dixie Carter Reality TV Show

It’s being reported that TNA President Dixie Carter is working on a possible reality TV show. It was first reported back in January 2014 that TNA’s production team began working on a demo reel for a potential Dixie reality TV show with the idea it would be shopped around to networks.

Dixie had a film crew following her around at Friday’s Impact tapings, presumably for a reality TV show that she has been trying to get off the ground.

Dixie previously tried to get on The Real Housewives of Nashville reality show.
