Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has penciled in Daniel Bryan VS Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam.
“We can confirm that the long-term plan for SummerSlam right now is Bryan vs. Lesnar for the title as one of the main events. So if/when Lesnar vs. Cesaro takes place as part of a Cesaro turn, it would be after that point. That can change if Bryan isn’t back for 6/29 and they move the title in another direction.”

Before Daniel Bryan had neck surgery, WWE was looking for Bryan to return at the Money In The Bank PPV on June 29th, but he may not be back by then. If Bryan doesn’t return at MITB, the next event would be Battleground on July 20th. The worst case scenario would be returning for SummerSlam. Bryan may have to change his in-ring style some when he returns.
