Paul Heyman Back With Brock Lesnar As His Advocate

Paul Heyman appeared with Brock Lesnar on Monday’s RAW and the two announced they are back working together as client and advocate.

Monday Night’s RAW confirmed that Paul Heyman is back working as Brock Lesnar’s advocate. No longer under Roman Reigns’ employ, Heyman has jumped back into the arms of the new WWE Champion and the two worked together Monday night, setting the stage for the Royal Rumble.

After WWE showed a highlight package from Saturday’s “Premium Live Event”, the lights went out and Heyman appeared in the middle of the ring to introduce his “client” Brock Lesnar. The new WWE Champion came to the ring and did confirm Heyman was, once again, his advocate. After sarcastically hoping Roman Reigns gets well soon, Lesnar turned the mic back over to Heyman who went on a long rant about every competitor in the Fatal 4-Way. He gave each props but said none would measure up.

Heyman really sold his client’s win on Saturday while Lesnar stood atop a self-made podium that was once being used as the ring steps. Lesnar didn’t talk much after going for a cheap pop with the South Carolina crowd and he let his advocate do the rest of the work.

This was as good a promo as one would expect from Heyman, but questions about where this leaves Lesnar as a heel or babyface are sure to follow. Is Heyman coming back to Lesnar a sign these two will go back to being heels? Or, is Heyman now a good guy too? Later on the show, WWE teased Friday’s SmackDown would offer more of Lesnar and Heyman, so potentially the WWE Universe will find out.

That Heyman is simply back with Lesnar could speak volumes when it comes to any future storyline that includes finishing off the Reigns/Lesnar/Heyman storyline. If a new No. 1 contender is crowned in the main event, perhaps the Lesnar vs. Reigns program will be pushed aside for quite a while and what Heyman was really doing all this time will take a back seat.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns Set For WWE Crown Jewel

Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been announced for the 2021 Crown Jewel event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

WWE just announced Lesnar vs. Reigns for their return to Crown Jewel on Thursday, October 21. Paul Heyman is advertised to be in Reigns’ corner.

The WWE Universal Title will be on the line for Lesnar vs. Reigns if Reigns retains over “The Demon” Finn Balor at WWE Extreme Rules on September 26. Regardless of what happens at Extreme Rules, Lesnar vs. Reigns will still happen in Saudi Arabia.

WWE has also announced that Crown Jewel will air at 1pm ET on October 21. The event will air live via Peacock and the WWE Network.

WWE Crown Jewel will reportedly feature the finals of the 2021 King of the Ring tournament and the finals of the first-ever Queen of the Ring tournament, but that has not been announced as of this writing.

Brock Lesnar New WWE Contract Details Revealed

Brock Lesnar’s new WWE contract will reportedly carry him through early 2023.

Lesnar returned to WWE at the end of Saturday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view to confront WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, right after Reigns’ retained over John Cena. This was his first appearance since dropping the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, and since his last contract expired in the summer of 2020.

In an update, Lesnar’s new WWE contract is believed to be for “roughly a year and a half,” according to Fightful Select. That should carry Lesnar through early 2023, possibly into WrestleMania 39 season.

The new contract is also believed to be for at least 8 matches. It was noted that the terms of the contract are open to change with further negotiations.

The first match under Lesnar’s new WWE contract is expected to be against Reigns, with Paul Heyman a big part of the build. There is no word on when that match will happen. Lesnar vs. Reigns has been rumored for WWE Crown Jewel in October, but it’s not confirmed that Lesnar will be working that show.

It was reported earlier today that WWE is moving forward with Lesnar as a babyface on the blue brand. He is being teased for Friday’s SmackDown, but not officially announced for the show. This would be Lesnar’s first blue brand appearance since November 1, 2019. It’s worth noting that he is still listed on the RAW roster on the official WWE website as of this writing.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Talking With WWE

Brock Lesnar and WWE have been in recent talks about Lesnar making his return to the company, according to Fightful.

The report noted WWE has plans in place for the WWE Superstar and are hoping his return could be imminent. No word on when he’ll be on WWE TV though.

His WWE contract reportedly expired last August without the two sides agreeing on new terms and, at that time, Lesnar’s merchandise was removed from WWE Shop. It was expected Lesnar would eventually return to WWE, despite not re-signing.

His most recent appearance was at WrestleMania 36 when he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

With SummerSlam nearly sold out, it was previously noted WWE is looking to put together a WrestleMania-level PPV that would likely include Lesnar. This year’s PPV is on Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was reported earlier this month WWE was considering Lesnar vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

There has been some talk of a possible Lesnar vs WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam.

Backstage News On Brock Lesnar Vs. Cain Velasquez Going Short At Crown Jewel, Tyson Fury – Lesnar

As seen at WWE Crown Jewel on Thursday, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar retained his title over Cain Velasquez in the opener. Lesnar won by submission in just 2 minutes and 3 seconds.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the idea was always to do a short match, but with Cain’s knee in such bad shape, they decided to do the match were just about nothing happened.

The belief is that Cain needs knee surgery now, but there’s no word yet on when he will have it. It was reported back before he signed with WWE that he would likely undergo the surgery before making any commitment to a pro wrestling company as he was in talks with WWE, AEW and NJPW.

Cain is still scheduled to team with Rey Mysterio to face Andrade and Drew McIntyre at the WWE live event in Mexico City on Saturday, November 30. As we’ve noted, Cain has signed a lucrative, three-year deal with WWE but his future as a regular talent is up in the air at this point.

Regarding Tyson Fury making his WWE debut at Crown Jewel with the count out win over Braun Strowman, the Observer reports that an original idea discussed with Fury was for him to face Lesnar. That idea changed when they were able to sign Cain to a deal. Lesnar vs. Fury never got past early discussions. As noted, Fury is said to be open to working with WWE again in the future, but his match with Strowman was said to be a one-off, at least for now.

Brock Lesnar Defeats Kofi Kingston For WWE Championship, Confronted By Cain Velasquez

A ghost from Brock Lesnar’s past came back to haunt him before he could celebrate winning the WWE Championship on WWE Friday Night SmackDown’s debut on FOX last night.

Lesnar made short work of Kofi Kingston with one move, a F5, to capture the gold in the main event, but his smiles were short lived. Before The Beast could begin his celebrations, Rey Mysterio made his way to ring … alongside former UFC fighter Cain Velasquez.

Lesnar and Heyman looked on from the ring, shocked. Cain entered the ring and ducked a shot from Lesnar, then tackled him. Cain pounded on Lesnar on the mat as Lesnar resisted and tried to retreat. He finally escaped the ring and stared Cain down from the ramp. Lesnar teased going back in but finally walked back to the stage as fans booed him. SmackDown went off the air with Cain standing tall in the ring with Mysterio while Lesnar and Heyman watched from the stage.

In case you’re not aware, the last time these two men came to blows was in UFC back in 2010. Velasquez won that battle easily, so Brock will most certainly be looking for some payback.

Velasquez had been in talks with WWE, but was also interested in AEW.

Kofi Kingston To Defend WWE Championship Against Brock Lesnar On The Fox Debut Of SmackDown

“The Beast” Brock Lesnar will face-off against Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship next month during the first episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman made their presence felt during tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live after a six-man tag match in which Kofi and New Day were victorious.

Brock and Heyman then walked to the ring and challenged Kofi to a title match on October 4.

Kofi said he made a promise to be a fighting champion after winning the title, therefore he was accepting Lesnar’s challenge. His acceptance was met with a swift F5 before Brock left the ring.

Lesnar vs. Kingston for the WWE Title is the only match announced for the big SmackDown Fox premiere as of this writing. This will be Lesnar’s first SmackDown match in over 15 years, since 2004. Lesnar has not worked a match on weekly WWE television since returning to the company in 2012.

Brock Lesnar Destroys Seth Rollins And Reveals He Will Cash In At WWE Super ShowDown

Brock Lesnar was set to cash in his Money In the Bank title shot on WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins during tonight’s RAW, but looks like the cash in will now come at WWE Super ShowDown on Friday in Saudi Arabia.

As seen below, Lesnar came out to destroy Rollins following a beatdown from Baron Corbin, who will challenge Rollins in a singles match at Friday’s pay-per-view. Paul Heyman kept encouraging his client to cash in, but Lesnar yelled at him and said “Friday!” to indicate the cash in will come at Super ShowDown. Lesnar has been advertised for Super ShowDown since it was announced, but his plans were up in the air following the announcement of Corbin vs. Rollins.

Corey Graves Calls Out Plot Holes With Brock Lesnar – Stephanie McMahon Angle

WWE commentator Corey Graves took to Twitter to point out some major plot holes with the current Brock Lesnar – Stephanie McMahon storyline.

Lesnar and Paul Heyman had said that they would announce on last Monday’s RAW if Lesnar would be cashing in his Money In the Bank title shot against WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins or WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. That announcement never happened as during a segment on RAW, Lesnar realized that he had one year to cash in the briefcase.

Stephanie released a video on Friday stating that WWE will take action against Lesnar and Heyman. The announcement was confusing, as Money In The Bank cash-in teases have been the norm since the gimmick started. My guess would be that there have been more cash-in teases than cash-ins themselves. Heyman then announced that Lesnar will be cashing in the Money In the Bank contract this Monday on RAW against Rollins.

Graves addressed how confusing the storyline is on Twitter, writing, “So, he’s is cashing in because the boss was mad at him for not cashing in when he said he was, even though the point of the contract is to cash in at the holder’s discretion? Where’s my new chair?”

If Lesnar does in fact wrestle on RAW this Monday, it will be his first match on RAW or SmackDown in over 15 years. The last time he wrestled on regular WWE television was on the March 2, 2004 episode of SmackDown where he defeated Hardcore Holly. His last match on RAW was years earlier in 2002, when he defeated Tommy Dreamer on the July 22nd episode.

Paul Heyman Says Brock Lesnar Will Cash In His WWE Money In The Bank Title Shot On RAW

Paul Heyman took to Twitter this afternoon and announced that Brock Lesnar will cash in his Money In the Bank briefcase on WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins during Monday’s RAW from Austin, Texas.

As noted, Stephanie McMahon released a video that condemned the actions of Lesnar and Heyman on this week’s RAW. Stephanie promised that the McMahon Family and the WWE executive team would take action on the two during Monday’s RAW.

Heyman responded and said Lesnar will be cashing in on RAW.

“Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate for Mr. Money In the Bank 2019, Brock Lesnar. My client has been apprised of WWE’s condemnation of his actions, as spewed forth in a diatribe by Stephanie McMahon. There is no need for an executive meeting, there is no need for the McMahon Family to get together, ever. What there is a need for is my client to be proactive, rather than reactive. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, please be advised, my client Brock Lesnar hereby cashes in the Money In the Bank contract, effective this Monday, June 3, 2019, between the hours of 8pm and 11pm ET, at a moment of his choosing, live on Monday Night RAW against the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.

“And now that the WWE Universe has been apprised, and the McMahon Family has been apprised, and the executive team has been apprised, a personal message to Seth Rollins from my client, Brock Lesnar – Mr. Rollins, here comes the pain,” Heyman said.
