Bret Buchanan of AlternativeNation.net reports that the frontman of the rock band Smashing Pumpkins & Resistance Pro Wrestling owner Billy Corgan is the potential TNA buyer. Buchanan wrote that he heard from a second hand source that Corgan is far along in his talks to buy TNA. This source went as far to say that he believes it is a done deal that Corgan will buy TNA.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that there’s not much to the rumors because Billy Corgan wouldn’t have the money needed to buy TNA & carry it.

F4Wonline.com said that Corgan was not the leading candidate to buy TNA as of a few days ago.
