Paige Returning To WWE RAW Soon

Source: WrestlingINC

After weeks of speculation on her WWE status, PWInsider reports that Paige will be returning to the road for the company next week.

There has been communication between Paige and WWE officials over the past few days and she is now booked for next week’s RAW in Memphis and that week’s RAW live events.

Paige’s 30-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy ends on September 17th. She’s also been dealing with injuries over the past few months.

We recently reported that Paige had retained legal representation as there were reports of her trying to leave the company. It will be interesting to see what happens now that her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio has left the company. The two have filmed material to be included on Total Divas.

Former ECW, WCW & WWE Star Raven Joins Buff Bagwell’s Lawsuit Against WWE

Source: WrestlingINC

As noted, former WWE and WCW star Marcus “Buff” Bagwell filed a lawsuit against WWE in US District Court of Connecticut last month, claiming that he is owed royalties for his matches that air on the WWE Network. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer that Scott Levy, f.k.a. Raven, has joined the suit as a co-plaintiff.

Meltzer noted the last royalty check that Levy received for the second quarter of 2016 totaled $130.83. Bagwell had received royalties for the 2002 Vengeance pay-per-view, even though he wasn’t with the company that year and didn’t appear on the show. Bagwell’s lawyers apparently had other questions that were never addressed regarding his royalties. They are claiming that WWE’s bookkeeping is questionable, and that they were not able to audit it.

This is not the first time that Levy has been involved in a lawsuit against the company. In 2008, he joined Mike Sanders and Chris Kanyon in a lawsuit against WWE over the classification of wrestlers as independent contractors. That case was ultimately dropped.

Cesaro vs Sheamus Match# 5 of Best of 7 Series:

Facing elimination in the Best of Seven Series this past Wednesday in London, Cesaro pulled off a spectacular victory that prevented Sheamus from a clean sweep and ensured that he’d live to fight another day. This Monday, to be precise.

Now, The Swiss Superman and The Celtic Warrior head to Match No. 5 in their Best of Seven Series to determine which of these physically dominant Team Red competitors will earn a championship match. Will Cesaro’s momentum save him from elimination on Monday, or will the imposing Irishman win the series at 4-1?

Randy Orton Written Out Of Backlash Match Due To Concussion Sustained At SummerSlam

Source: Pro Wrestling Sheet

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Randy Orton sustained a concussion last month at SummerSlam, and it’s why he didn’t wrestle Bray Wyatt last night at Backlash.

Our sources say the concussion occurred during Orton’s bloody encounter with Brock Lesnar … and although there’s no word on when it happened in the match, we’re guessing it was sustained during one of the many canned-ham-sized elbows he took to the skull.

Initial tests indicated he’d be good to go — which is why he was promoted for Backlash up until the event started — however, due to the type of injury, WWE officials instead made the decision to go withKane vs. Wyatt in a No Holds Barred match at the last minute.

For those who missed it, Orton was written out of the match after Bray attacked him backstage earlier in the night. He eventually re-appeared later and caused Wyatt to lose to his surprise opponent.

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt will not be happening at tonight’s WWE Backlash pay-per-view from Richmond, Virginia, according to PWInsider. No word yet on how the match will be handled.

Orton has not been cleared to compete following his WWE SummerSlam TKO loss to Brock Lesnar. WWE officials were hopeful that Orton would be cleared over the past week but he was not.

Orton is scheduled to face Lesnar again at the September 24th WWE live event in Chicago but that match is in jeopardy as well.
