Vampiro Posts Emotional Video About His Daily Struggle With Alzheimer’s, Launches GoFundMe

Wrestling veteran and current AAA Director of Talent Vampiro took to Facebook to speak about the difficulties he’s been going through since his recent diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease. In the four and a half minute video, Vampiro noted how he feels lost and doesn’t know where he is most of the time. In the video, he is supposed to be going to a therapy session, but does not know why he’s there. It causes him to have a panic attack, which chips away at his emotional state and his ability to stay uplifted during the difficult time.

“I’m lost,” Vampiro said tearfully. “I don’t know where I am. I gotta stay strong, right? I’m having a major panic attack. This Alzheimer’s thing, some of the affects are I forget why I’m supposed to be where I’m at. I’ve been sitting in my car for about 40 minutes and I don’t know what to do. It comes and goes and it’s really hard.”

In addition, he also mentions how he is tired of taking his medications because they make him feel like a “zombie.” He says towards the end of the video that he will do whatever it takes to fight this, in terms of staying positive for the sake of his health.

“I’m trying so hard,” Vampiro states. “I’m going to come back and I’m going to be ok. But I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to take those drugs anymore. I don’t want to take that medicine. It makes me a f**king zombie. But when I don’t take it, I don’t know what’s going on.”

If there was one thing that Vampiro says that he wants fans to take away from his video, is the importance of having patience with those who are affected with mental illness, because it is not something that can just go away overnight.

“If you have anybody in your life that are going through these issues, like mental health, please understand it’s an every day, all day thing. It never goes away.”

The former Lucha Underground color commentator announced his diagnosis back in April of this year on his Facebook, stating that he was scared about this diagnosis and if it could lead to a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. He did mention in his post back then and in his video published on Tuesday that he will stand tall and fight through this.

A GoFundMe page was created for Vampiro with a $22,000 goal so that he can receive stem cell replacement therapy.

“I can beat this but I need help. I have not had an income In a year so I am stuck,” Vampiro’s GoFundMe reads. “Once I am better I will give a portion of all my earnings to people who need help, support and financial aid . It’s so hard , but , I can beat this . I have the desire , I have the heart, but I am hurting bad . Critical pain from the injuries and well, this alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and the chronic arthritis in my whole body, well to me it’s just bulls–t and I can beat this.

“I am asking for help so I can get stem cell replacement therapy in Columbia at the end of the year, once I have that, I will dedicate my life to helping others even more than I already do.

“Stem Cell Replacement therapy I believe will save many many lives … right now I need it to save mine.”

Currently, the page has raised over $2000. For those interested in donating to his cause, please click here.

Santino Marella And Damien Sandow Come Out Of Retirement At The Same Indie Event (Photos)

Former WWE Superstar Santino Marella (Anthony Carelli) took to Instagram last night to reveal photos from his recent return to the ring. Santino worked a “Pancrase-style match” with Randy Bynoe and picked up the win at the recent Battle Arts Pro Wrestling show in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This was the official start for the promotion, which is affiliated with Santino’s Battle Arts Academy and Battle Arts MMA promotion.

Santino dedicated the match to his brother, who passed away last year. He wrote, “I dedicated this match to my brother Pasquale that passed away 10 months ago, he never missed a show.”

It looks like they may be building to a Santino vs. Bynoe rematch, but there’s no word yet on if Santino will continue wrestling for his promotion because he has been retired. He is set to return to WWE TV for Monday’s RAW Reunion special.

The first Battle Arts wrestling show also saw the ring return of former WWE Superstar Damien Sandow, who is now going by “The Dao” Aron Stevens. Stevens had also been retired until Saturday, and had been focusing on his acting career. He recently announced on social media that he was working a “Millennial Slayer” gimmick for his return to the indies.

Stevens defeated Timothy O’Connor in his return match at Battle Arts. He took to Instagram and commented on his return, writing, “Oh pro wrestling, how I missed you ! I was victorious in my first contest after 2 1/2 years. Very talented young man @irish_oconnor . However, when I was 19 or 20 , And I saw an advantage I capitalized . This is what I want to fix. No weakness, no entitlement, no mercy.”

Santino and Sandow appear to be good friends these days. As seen below, Sandow was busted open during his match and Santino was the one who fixed him up backstage after the match.

Below are several social media posts related to the recent ring returns, including Santino’s entrance video that he released before the match. You can use the arrows to scroll through the Instagram photos:

Enzo Amore And Joey Janela Got Into A Fight At A Blink 182 Concert

Former WWE star Enzo Amore apparently got into a fight with Joey Janela at a Blink 182 concert in New Jersey on Tuesday … and they took to Twitter afterward to continue beefing.

It all went down at the PNC Bank Arts Center after last night’s show.

Enzo first tweeted about the incident and wrote:

“I’m glad you introduced yourself cause I couldn’t pick you out of a line up. You don’t want no smoke.”

“Where was that energy at? We aint friends [Joey Janela]. Dont introduce urself to me f*ckboy I thought u were a fan hahaha the second I realized it was u I slapped ya bitchass hands down & walked @ u w/ MY HANDS UP YA F*CKIN RAN BACKWARDS & told my homey to film it”

“Clout chasing in public to ultimately look like a p*ssy, must feel terrible,” he added. “Ya not a good human, people are out to enjoy there night and you cause a scene and run while I’m engaging with friends & fans, ya mother should be proud.”

Janela gave more context with his telling of what happened. “Not a work,” he tweeted. “So I saw the dude and walked up and said “Hi I’m Joey Janela” at the blink 182 show and we proceeded to have (I’m not lennox lewis) to have the sh*ttiest fist fight of the year, I’m not a p*ssy but we had fun!”

This never would’ve happened if Tom DeLonge was still in Blink 182.

Enzo released some footage of the incident, but no punches are thrown in the clip.

Jon Moxley And AEW President Tony Khan Help Pro Wrestler Who Lost Everything In House Fire

This past Thursday, a house fire burned down the home of former pro wrestler Don Wright and his family. While raising five grandkids, Don and his wife Sandy were away when their home was destroyed. Now, they must start anew.

GoFundMe has been created to help out the Wright’s. Donations will help with clothes, food and school supplies, as school will be starting up for the children (ranging from 4-14 years old) after the summer.

The original goal of $5,000 has been broken, thanks in large part to generous donators. AEW’s Jon Moxley and Tony Khan each donated $5,000 to help break the goal needed.

If you live in the Tenessee area you can make donations to the Trinity Memorial Funeral Home Monday through Friday from 9-5pm. Southern States Wrestling will also be holding an auction and wrestling card to benefit the family on August 10th. Taking place inside The Model City Event Center in Downtown Kingsport, the matches for the event or what will be auctioned off haven’t been announced yet.

You can read the full description of the fund below:

A good friend of mine, and an amazing coworker, has lost her house and car this morning. She has 5 grandchildren, that all live with her, and they have lost everything. They only have the clothes on their backs right now and the food given to them by a neighbor. They need clothes, food, any appliances or furniture, and money to replace things. School will also be starting in a few months, and any help will be appreciated. They have no clue when their insurance may help them, and need any help until then. They believe the fire was caused by electrical issues, but will know more later. They were fortunate enough not to be in the house at the time. Sandy is an amazing person, and is always giving to her coworkers and her grandbabies. We would appreciate any help!!Sincerely, Sandy’s friends and coworkers ❤
