TNA Against All Odds 6/15/2024 (Results) – NXT’s Tatum Paxley, Jeff Hardy Returns

Pre-show

Sami Callihan defeated Jonathan Gresham. Brawl on the outside to start before the match officially began. Gresham did serious damage to Callihan’s left arm. The Death Machine fought with one arm, and he received a little help from Kushida. The Time Splitter ran in to take a scientific sample of the Octopus’ black ink. Callihan benefit from the distraction for a piledriver to win.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Alisha Edwards & Masha Slamovich defeated Allysin Kay & Marti Belle to retain the titles. The Hex displayed smart teamwork for early control. Alisha grabbed Kay’s hair to help Slamovich out of a pickle. The pace was competitive from there. The Hex hit their X Marks the Spot teamwork finisher on Alisha, but Slamovich made the save on the pinfall. The champs cleared the ring to set up a doomsday bulldog with Alisha flying high to knock Belle off Slamovich’s shoulders. Alisha pinned Belle for the win. Fun match.

Against All Odds

Mike Santana & Steve Maclin defeated the Rascalz. The team of Santana and Maclin is supposed to be one and done to eliminate the Rascalz from meddling in their business. Hot opener with creative moves. Down the stretch, Maclin saved Santana from Trey Miguel’s spray paint. Santana repaid the favor by setting up Zachary Wentz in the Tree of Woe for Maclin to spear. Maclin handed over Trey for a discus lariat from Santana to win. Afterward, the crowd chanted for the winners to squash their beef. Maclin was impressed by the teamwork, so he offered a handshake. The crowd urged Santana to accept, and he obliged. Respect was earned between rivals. Perhaps it won’t be one and done?

PCO defeated Rich Swann. AJ Francis interfered throughout, so PCO took out Top Dolla on a suicide dive. The monster connected on a moonsault to win. Afterward, Steph De Lander said yes to a date with PCO. Love is in the air.

TNA World Tag Team Championship: Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards defeated the Nemeth Boyz to retain the titles. Screwjob! Alisha Edwards hooked Nic Nemeth’s foot early, then Fandango ran out to rat her out to the referee. Alisha was ejected. Dango rooted for the Nemeths. Later, Moose arrived to support the System. The Nemeth brothers hit the Danger Zone combo on Eddie, however, the referee was pulled out of the ring. There was confusion on if Moose or Fandango did it. (Moose did it.) As the referee argued with both men, Nic dove onto Moose. Dango went behind the ref’s back to punch a cheap shot on Ryan Nemeth. Eddie pounced for the Boston Knee Party to win. The fix was in. Afterward, the tag champs hugged the dirty dancer.

Frankie Kazarian defeated Joe Hendry. Even though Hendry hired Ace Steel as a trainer, he wasn’t present for the match. The finish was a sneaky win for Kaz. As Hendry lifted Kazarian for a back suplex, Kaz fiddled in his tights to pull out a foreign object to punch Hendry as the suplex hit the mat. Kaz laid on top for the cheating win. Afterward, Kazarian slapped a chickenwing submission on Hendry. Steel ran in for the save. When Kaz shoved him in the back, he popped Kaz with a punch in the kisser.

X-Division Championship: Mustafa Ali defeated Trent Seven to retain the title. Campaign Singh and Mike Bailey were banned from the building. Ali focused on damaging the left knee, and he also bent the rules, such as a low blow behind the referee’s back. When frustration boiled about Seven kicking out of pinfalls, Ali grabbed the title belt. The referee confiscated the foreign object. Seven took advantage for a low blow as payback. The challenger executed a Burning Hammer, however, the champion kicked out. Seven went high-risk for an avalanche Burning Hammer. Ali gouged the eyes to escape and knocked Seven down to the mat. Ali landed a 450 splash onto Seven’s legs, then he secured a sharpshooter submission to win.

Ace Austin & Chris Bey defeated Josh Alexander & Eric Young. Rowdy action. Heading into the show, signs pointed to ABC possibly imploding. However, it was the other tag team that suffered from miscommunication. In the end, Young aimed a strike for Bey, but he accidentally clobbered Alexander instead. Ace took advantage for The Fold on Young, and Bey went over the top for a jackknife pin to win. ABC appears to be a cohesive unit again with eyes on the TNA tag titles.

Knockouts Championship: Jordynne Grace defeated Tatum Paxley in an open challenge to retain the title. Paxley arrived from WWE NXT. Ash by Elegance watched the match from the stage. Grace was a juggernaut of power. Paxley made it respectable with a handful of nifty moves. Grace was just on a higher level. A pumphandle driver sealed the deal. Afterward, Ash launched a sneak attack on the champ. Grace came back for a spinebuster, and Ash screamed like her spine was busted into a million pieces.

TNA World Championship: Moose defeated Matt Hardy to retain the title. Broken Rules were in effect, which meant no disqualification. The System flanked Moose in full. The Nemeth Boyz ran out at the start to brawl with Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards to the back. Hardcore action commenced with tables, ladders, and chairs. Hardy had Moose down on a Twist of Fate with a chair, but Alisha Edwards went wild with a kendo stick to prevent the pinfall. Rebecca Hardy ran in for a Twist of Fate to Alisha. Matt had Moose sized up for a spear through a table, however, Moose pulled Reby in front to take the tackle. Matt speared his wife through a table instead. Moose struck with a spear on Matt to win.

Jeff Hardy returned to TNA! After the main event, the System wasn’t done pummeling Matt. The Nemeth Boyz and Joe Hendry tried for the save, but they were outnumbered. That’s when Jeff’s music played on the loud speaker. He was back in TNA. Jeff cleaned house on the System. Moose was victim to a pair of Twist of Fates from Jeff and Matt.

Jeff Hardy’s Next Destination Following AEW Contract Expiration Reportedly Revealed

Jeff Hardy’s run with All Elite Wrestling seems to be coming to an end, with recent reports claiming that his contract is set to expire in the next few days. Hardy signed with the company in March 2022 but has had a stop-and-start tenure with the promotion due to legal troubles, personal problems, and injuries. The former WWE Champion is set to be a free agent on June 14, and it seems his next destination might have already been revealed.

According to PWInsider, Hardy is set to return to TNA Wrestling this weekend for the company’s Against All Odds event, as well as the upcoming TNA TV tapings in Cicero, Illinois. Against All Odds takes place on June 14, the day Hardy becomes a free agent, with the TV tapings taking place on June 15; PWInsider was unable to confirm exactly what role Hardy will play in the weekend’s festivities. Jeff’s brother, Matt Hardy, who originally revealed the approximate time Jeff’s contract with AEW was set to expire, is scheduled to main event Against All Odds, as he challenges Moose for the TNA World Championship.

Hardy has already spent a combined total of nine years in TNA Wrestling across two separate tenures. His initial run took place between 2004 and 2006, while his second run began in 2010 and didn’t end until 2017, where he and his brother left the promotion due to contract negotiations breaking down. During his time in TNA, he would hold the company’s World Tag Team Championships twice with his brother, and he TNA World Championship on three separate occasions, with only Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, and Sting having more reigns with that incarnation of the title than “The Charismatic Enigma.”

TNA’s Matt Hardy Teases An Appearance On Next Week’s Episode Of WWE NXT

TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy could find himself back in a WWE ring as soon as next week as part of an upcoming high-stakes 25-man WWE NXT Battle Royal.

During this week’s episode of WWE NXT, a battle royal was announced for a shot at the NXT Championship that will feature stars from ‘all locker rooms.’

Given the recent NXT-TNA collaboration, many saw this line by Cody Rhodes as a tease that TNA stars could be involved. On Twitter, Matt suggested he would be in the match.

Hardy served as a ‘pro’ on the original format of WWE NXT back in early 2010. He parted ways with WWE in 2020 and left AEW earlier this year.

Report – The WWE NXT-TNA Wrestling Cross-Over Is Expected To Continue

TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made an appearance on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

During the show, it was announced that Grace will be facing off against Roxanne Perez at the 2024 NXT Battleground pay-per-view event. Grace will also be appearing on next week’s show.

According to a report from Pwinsider, the belief among those backstage is that there will be some kind of NXT representation at future TNA events as well. As of this writing, there is no word on who from WWE NXT will be coming over to make appearances. As of now, only Roxanne Perez and Jordynne Grace are involved. But that could easily change.

The next set of TNA tapings will be at the Against All Odds pay-per-view event on June 14th and a TV taping the following night on June 15th.

TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace Appeared On NXT Set To Challenge NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez At WWE NXT Battleground

Last week, “WWE NXT” General Manager Ava informed NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez that the identity of her next challenger would be revealed on this week’s episode of “NXT.” Much to Perez’s dismay, her upcoming challenger was confirmed to be current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, who came face-to-face with “The Prodigy” in her surprise return to WWE.

“Roxanne, you are a great champion, a two time champion,” Grace told Perez. “You have built your name here at NXT, the same as I have in TNA. But I’m curious, who do you think has built the stronger foundation? I want to find out. So at Battleground, I’m going to be challenging you for your NXT Women’s Championship. And I’m fully prepared to leave Las Vegas a double champion.”

As Grace alluded to, the next “NXT” premium live event, Battleground, will emanate from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9. For Perez, this will mark her fourth televised title defense since regaining the NXT Women’s Championship with a victory over Lyra Valkyria at “NXT” Stand & Deliver. For Grace, “NXT” Battleground will serve as the site of her third-ever match in WWE, with the first being the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Before she steps up to Perez, Grace will take on Stevie Turner on next week’s episode of “NXT.”

Over in TNA Wrestling, Grace — in her third reign — has resided as the Knockouts Champion for over four months. “The Juggernaut” began her current reign at the 2024 TNA Hard to Kill event by defeating Trinity, who officially returned to WWE as Naomi later that same month.
