GFW Announces First Live Events For 2016
Global Force Wrestling will break new ground in 2016 as founder and CEO Jeff Jarrett brings GFW to the Northeast for the first time to open the New Year.
GFW will be at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York on Jan. 22.
Co-promotion between GFW and Pro Wrestling Syndicate at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey on Jan. 23.
Tickets for both events go an sale Friday. For the Poughkeepsie card, you can go to the Mid-Hudson box office or any Ticketmaster location, charge-by-phone 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at ticketmaster.com. Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and current GFW Global Champion Nick Aldis (Magnus) suffered a torn bicep while working a tour of Mexico recently for Konnan.
GFW’s Lei’D Tapa To Make Her MMA Debut On New Year’s Eve
Global Force Wrestling’s Lei’D Tapa appeared Friday night at Bellator 145 and it was announced that she will make her MMA debut at the Rizin Fighting Federation event on New Year’s Eve.

“Queen of Rings” Lei’D Tapa to make her MMA debut on New Year’s Eve
As announced during Friday night’s Bellator 145 broadcast on Spike TV, “Queen of Rings” Lei’D Tapa will be making her professional MMA debut at the Rizin Fighting Federation New Year’s Eve event. She will face Gabi Garcia and the event will air live on Spike TV.
Rizin Fighting Federation’s debut show will take place during the Rizin Fighting World Grand Prix 2015. Tapa will be on a card headlined by MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko. the event will take place in Saitama Super Arena, the former home of Pride Fighting Championships.
The Queen of Rings has been dominant in the rings of Global Force Wrestling and now she is looking to become a dominant force in the world of MMA.

All four GFW Championships – GFW Global Championship, GFW Tag Team Championship, GFW Women’s Championship and GFW NEX*GEN Championship – are on the line at the Orleans Arena on Friday, Oct. 23. Jeff Jarrett No Longer A Minority Owner In TNA
PWInsider reports that the recent deal that saw Jeff Jarrett return to TV storylines in TNA included Dixie Carter buying Jarrett out of his minority ownership of TNA. The deal also included Jarrett’s Hall of Fame induction, promotion for Global Force Wrestling and GFW having the rights to book TNA talents.
PWInsider notes that the Jarrett deal was put together just a few days before the Jarretts cut their Impact Wrestling promo back in June. The deal was precipitated by TNA and allows for both sides to part ways on good terms. Dixie and parent company Panda Energy get complete ownership of the company while Jarrett gets bought out and receives some perks for GFW. TNA can now make any moves they want without having to worry about Jarrett’s minority shares coming back to get in the way.
