Was Eva Marie Set Up To Fail By WWE Producers? PLUS, Not Everything Is Reality On “Total Divas”

Eva Marie

As seen Monday night on Raw, Eva Marie made her televised wrestling debut as she and fellow Total Divas JoJo and Natalya defeated Alicia Fox, Aksana and Rosa Mendes in a Six-Diva Tag Team Match. The 29-year-old’s performance drew negative reviews online, as her inexperience was put on display before millions of viewers (prior to the match, she had only wrestled before a live crowd once, a non-televised tag team bout at SummerSlam Axxess in August). It has since come out that this reaction was sought within WWE as she was purposely set up to fail by members of management.

Dave Meltzer claimed on F4WOnline.com’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE officials wanted to knock the confident Californian down a few pegs, since they feel she has an undeserved ego and doesn’t realize how much she has to learn as a performer. Therefore, they had her sink on national television in hopes of making her humble.

This is not the first time in which Eva Marie, who F4WOnline.com reported in August as being “passionately hated” by some of her co-workers, was pranked in an inside manner.

In a segment filmed backstage at a spring Raw show for the August 4 episode of E! Total Divas, she was led to believe by company personnel that she had committed a wrongful act and that an infuriated Stephanie McMahon wanted to confront her over the matter (on the episode, the meeting was depicted as stemming from Eva Marie lying about her background in order to audition to be Fandango’s dancer, which was a fabricated storyline). During the blurred reality segment, McMahon threatened to fire her if she embarrassed the company again with her conduct. Eva Marie legitimately cried during the meeting, as she was not aware that the situation was orchestrated and that McMahon was fooling around with her through her character persona.

The Demise of TNA

20131011-182455.jpg

As some of you may or may not know I’m not a fan of TNA and according to this photo neither are a lot of people. This week TNA was held in Tulsa OK. As you can see more then half the arena is empty. It was even noted on wrestlinginc.com that fans were asked to move seats so the arena would appear to be full when seen on tv. If you ask me I think Dixie Carter should just hang it up already. Some of you may see that as bias coming from a WWE girl but if you think about it, it really wouldn’t even really hurt any one. I mean hogan quit and for some people he was the biggest drawl. Not only they but the knockouts division only consist of 5 girls. You can only see the same match so many times. On top of all that the employees arnt even getting decent pay. Anybody remember knockout Dafny? Did you know that TNA wouldn’t even at least help pay for her medical bills?? Medical bills that were due to wrestling related injuries. I mean if that doesn’t tell you TNA is bad off I don’t know what will. Lets be honest here WWE is the flagship company when it comes to professional wrestling, and no matter how hard TNA tries they will never be completion for the global phenomenon known as the WWE. Do you agree or disagree?? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Catch you guys on the flip side. Have a beautiful weekend

Rob Van Dam To Take Time Off For Mental And Spiritual Break

As revealed on Raw, RVD announced his decision in an exclusive interview for the “WWE Battleground 2013” DVD. Although he can still physically go, mentally and spiritually, he needs some time off, he said.

Despite considerable ability inside the squared circle, the high-octane competitor has not only failed to acquire the prize in two separate World Title pay-per-view matches against Del Rio, but he also fell short in his bid to capture his second guaranteed WWE Title contract in the Money in the Bank All-Stars Ladder Match and lost to United States Champion Dean Ambrose.
