Fans Claim They Were Kicked Out For Chanting “CM Punk” During Raw – Confirmed Reports Of Signs Being Confiscated

By Raj Giri  WrestlingInc.com
There are a couple of people on Twitter claiming that they were kicked out of tonight’s RAW for chanting for CM Punk. One of the tweets claimed that WWE kicked nearly 40 people out of the arena tonight. We have received several reports from readers stating that they didn’t see anyone kicked out for chanting for Punk at tonight’s show. If there were that many people ejected, someone would have noticed. One reader noted that the most they saw were just a few signs being confiscated, but they couldn’t tell if they were signs for Punk. They noted that there were Punk signs in the crowd through the entire episode.Another reader noted that they were in a section with a lot of CM Punk chants, and nothing happened the entire night.WrestlingINC.com reader @nealobermeyer stated that the building was pretty full when the show ended, and if 40 people were kicked out, “there would have been a riot.” He also noted that the person with the “My Other CM Punk Sign Got Confiscated” on RAW, which you can check out below, had that sign confiscated as well.

REPORT: CM Punk Situation Being Personally Handled By Vince McMahon

Sources at Bleacher Report are currently reporting the following regarding the CM Punk situation…

The CM Punk situation is personally being handled by Vince McMahon himself, as opposed to Triple H or WWE’s Talent Relations department.

WWE officials are not happy at all about the story getting out and there being a big deal publicly. The hope was to keep it as an internal issue and deal with it within the company.

Daniel Bryan Petition Pulled From White House Website

A petition that had reached almost 100,000 signatures to get Daniel Bryan into the main event of WrestleMania XXX has been pulled from the WhiteHouse.gov website under their Moderation Policy because it was in violation of their Terms of Participation.

Mick Foley Comments On CM Punk Situation In New Video

Mick Foley posted this video discussing his thoughts on CM Punk leaving WWE. Foley says he’s known Punk has been frustrated for some time so it’s not surprising. Foley says Punk’s honesty has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and he has people that don’t like him. Foley says the sky should have been the limit for Punk but it hasn’t been. Foley says he disagrees with some of the stuff WWE has booked Punk in. Punk told Foley before, “Once I’m done, I’m done.”

Foley says he plans on talking to Punk and advising him to go back. Foley mentions that he would love to see Punk vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXX. Foley wishes Punk would come back and give a few classic matches before his contract expires.

REPORT: WWE Happy CM Punk Has Left The Company

Dave Meltzer noted on Saturday night’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required) that there are many people in WWE that are “not unhappy” that CM Punk apparently quit last week. Meltzer noted that there “was a lot of negativity towards him from a lot of people in the company.”

Meltzer also stated that Vince McMahon wants Punk to return since there aren’t many other top stars in the company. As for why Punk left, Meltzer said that there may not one specific reason. As to rumors about Punk leaving because Daniel Bryan was replacing him against Triple H at WrestleMania, he said that the direction was changed only after Punk quit and Punk was scheduled to face Triple H at the show until that point.

As noted earlier, Punk was not happy to be facing Triple H at WrestleMania. With his contract expiring in July and people within the company not expecting him to re-sign, he likely knew the direction that the match would go in.

John Cena Injured, Who Replaced CM Punk At Live Event?

It was announced at Sunday’s WWE live event in Kansas City, MO that John Cena was injured and wouldn’t be there. Cena was slated to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in the main event. WrestlingINC.com reader @GrimmsonMask noted that Orton mentioned an eye injury. Daniel Bryan then came to the ring and challenged Orton to a steel cage match for later in the show.

Fans were given until the end of the second match to receive refunds. Cena worked Saturday night’s WWE live event in Orlando, defeating Orton via disqualification.

CM Punk was also originally advertised for the event before he quit last week. Sheamus filled in for Punk, teaming with The Usos to face The Shield.
