Raw Recap: November 5 2012

Video from earlier in the day was shown of The Miz talking to Paul Heyman about what happened last week. The Miz said to Heyman what kind of leader abandons his team. Heyman said The Miz & the rest of the team need to fall in line behind CM Punk. The Miz said Punk & Heyman are full of crap & said he quits Team Punk & walks off.

Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara & R-Truth vs Antonio Cesaro & The Prime Time Players, R-Truth, Mysterio & Sin Cara wins. After the match Mysterio & Sin Cara mock The Prime Time Players by doing their Millions of Dollars dance.

Vickie Guerrero made her way to the ring. Vickie said she is proud of herself. Vickie showed video from last week that she showed of her proof of John Cena & AJ’s affair. Cena interrupted & came to the ring. Vickie said she runs a clean show. Cena said Vickie running a clean show is like him learning a new wrestling move, it’s not happening. Cena mentioned Vickie’s abuses of power in the past. Vickie showed hotel security footage of AJ in a bath robe walking down the hallway then knocking on a door then entering the room. Then showed security footage from a different angle of Cena wearing a towel & putting a do not disturb sign on the door. Cena said that footage came from 2 different cameras & he was just putting that sign on the door because he didn’t want to be disturbed. Vickie called out AJ to give her explanation. AJ appeared on the big screen & Vickie doesn’t want her to come out there because she would give Vickie the beating of her life & that she can’t do that because Vickie would then fire her & she wouldn’t be able to do what she wants to do. Dolph Ziggler came up to AJ & put his arm around her & said AJ we all know what you love to do. Cena took off toward the back.

Backstage Heyman was talking to Wade Barrett about The Miz quiting Team Punk. Heyman asked Barrett to be on the team. Barrett refused but then reconsidered & agreed but said under one condition, you owe me & Barrett said he wants it in writing.

Cody Rhodes vs Daniel Bryan, Damien Sandow & Kane are at ringside. Rhodes wins. After the match Rhodes said his partner Sandow can beat Kane just as easly as he beat Bryan.

Kane vs Damien Sandow, during the match the referee ejected both Bryan & Rhodes from ringside. Kane wins after hittng Sandow with a choke slam.

Michael Cole in the ring called out referee Brad Maddox to explain his actions at the Hell In A Cell match with Punk & Ryback. Cole asked Maddox if he was working with Punk & Heyman. Maddox said no that it was all his plan. He said they all his life he wanted to be a WWE Superstar & has tried for years to make it. He said finally he was given a development contract but apparently he wasn’t good enough. He said he was told that he would never make it. He said he would do whatever it took to make it. When he got hired to be a referee & got the Hell In A Cell match that he got his chance to make a impact. He said Punk was as surprised as Ryback was. He said he is famous now & people want forget who he is. He said he want a contract an a match with Ryback. Mr. McMahon came out & said he doesn’t believe a word Maddox said. McMahon said he would give Maddox a million dollar contract if Maddox could beat Ryback next week on Raw & told Maddox to get out of his ring. McMahon brought out Vickie & asked her why she’s letting Punk hide behind his team at Survivor Series. He suggested to Vickie that Punk defends his Title at Survivor Series against Ryback. He then suggested it be a triple threat Cena added to the match. The triple threat match for the WWE Title is made.

Sheamus vs The Miz, Big Show came out & did commentary for the match. Sheamus wins after connecting with the Brogue Kick.

Backstage, Ziggler waiting outside of McMahon’s office. Vickie came out & said Ziggler is now the captain of what used to be Team Punk & that it is now Team Ziggler. Punk came up & said McMahon is trying to screw him. Punk isn’t happy with the triple threat match. Vickie made a match for the night main event. Cena & Ryback vs Punk & Ziggler.

Eve & Aksana vs Layla & Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn & Layla wins.

Kofi Kingston vs Alberto Del Rio, during the match Randy Ortons music is played & Del Rio got distracted & Kofi won. After the match Orton came up from behind Del Rio & hit him with the RKO.

Santino Marella & Zack Ryder vs Primo & Epico, Marella & Ryder wins.

Brodus Clay vs Wade Barrett, Barrett wins. Barrett was cheered in his home country.

Heath Slater vs Jey Uso, Slater wins.

CM Punk with Heyman came to the ring. Punk said McMahon is screwing him at Survivor Series. He said that he is better than anyone & he promises at Survivor Series he will celebrate his 364th day of his Title reign.

Punk & Ziggler vs Cena & Ryback, during the match Punk & Ziggler isolated Cena keeping Ryback from tagging in the match. Cena finally made the tag to Ryback. Ryback took control of the match & beat down Punk & Ziggler at will. Ryback hit Punk with the Shell Shocked & got the win. After the match Cena & Ryback sterd down each other, Ryback chanted “feed me more”.

AJ Lee wins Diva’s Championship At WWE Live Show In Manchester ….. then losses it

AJ Lee is the new Diva’s champion. She won the belt during a WWE live event yesterday however her issues with Vickie continue as she restarted the match allowing Eve to retain her title . The WWE is currently in the UK on tour.

TNA Recap: November 1 2012 – Another Aces & 8s Mask Comes Off

The show began with a memoriam for Brad Armstrong. It was Open Fight Night on Impact Wrestling. Joseph Park was in the ring. He said he was here for Open Fight Night but he is not a wrestler but an attorney. He said that he is a man that is going to stick up for himself. He said Hogan hasn’t gave him a match yet with Aces & 8s but he has found a loophole & it’s Open Fight Night. Park called out any member of Aces & 8s. 4 members of Aces & 8s came & surrounded the ring. Angle came down to help out & was jumped by Aces & 8s then Sting came with a bat & cleared the ring. Sting said somebody from Aces & 8s tonight is going to get their mask ripped off their face.

Magnus called out Samoa Joe for the Television Championship: Magnus vs Television Champ Samoa Joe, Samoa Joe wins by DQ because Magnus hit him with a wrench in front of the referee.

In Hogan’s office with Sting & Park, Kurt Angle storms in with Wes Briscoe & Garett Bischoff & said he wanted Devon tonight. Hogan said Bully Ray has got Devon tonight but that Angle can have Devon at Turning Point. Angle agreed & said he has backup & is ready to fight, Sting said lets go rip off some mask.

Backstage Samoa Joe was icing his head & said Magnus made a big mistake & lets throw out the rules. Joe said he will kill him.

Daniels & Kazarian came to the ring. Kazarian said Sting thinks the biggest frauds in TNA are Aces & 8s but the biggest frauds are Chavo & Hernandez. Daniels said they will get their rematch at Turning Point. Daniels called out the Spanish announce team Hector Guerrero & Wille. Daniels & Kazarian beat down Hector & Wille then Chavo & Hernandez came to the ring & Daniels & Kazarian retreated.

Gut Check Match: Christian York vs Zema Ion, Ion wins.

Garett Bischoff stopped Bully Ray in the back & said that Devon stabbed him in the back also & he is there if Bully needs him. Bull thanked him & they shook hands. A production assistant then told them that Aces & 8s are outside. Bully & Bischoff run outside, Sting & Angle are also there & they brawl with Aces & 8s then Aces & 8s retreated.

ODB came to the ring & called out Tara’s boyfriend Jesse. ODB vs Jesse, Jesse wins.

Robbie E. with Robbie T. came to the ring & called out Jeff Hardy. Robbie E. vs Hardy, Hardy wins. After the match Austin Aries came out to the stage. He has the World Title Belt & told Hardy to pick up his ugly belt. Aries said the only difference between the 2 are 3 seconds & he will climb the ladder again. Hardy gets a ladder & sets it up & climbs up it. Hardy said lets make our match at Turning Point a ladder match. Aries said he wasn’t going to do it.

A video was showed of the opening of Hogan’s Beach Shop where Matt Morgan confronted Hogan. Morgan took a old robe of Hogan’s & said to Hogan watch the history he makes with it. Hogan said you can’t take that & Morgan said that he just did. Hogan was watching a monitor in the back & he said starting to figure it out. James Storm approached Hogan & asked for a World Title shot. Hogan said if Storm was a betting man that he might have an idea for him.

Bobby Roode came out to the ring & said he wasn’t here to fight & he is being screwed because he was left out last week for the World Title match. AJ Styles came to the ring & said he should be the World Champion & told Roode to quit his crying. AJ called out Roode for a fight, Roode said no & then attacked AJ from behind. Hogan came out with James Storm & said both Roode & Styles deserve a title shot. Hogan made a match for Turning Point, A triple threat match with Roode, Styles & Storm where the winner gets a World Title shot but the person who gets pinned wont get another title shot until Bound For Glory next year.

Joey Ryan & Matt Morgan come to the ring. Morgan was wearing Hogan’s robe. Ryan called out Rob Van Dam. Ryan vs RVD, Ryan wins. After the match Morgan laid out RVD with a big boot.

Bully Ray came to the ring & gave a shout out to all the fans in the Northeast & called out Devon. Bully Ray vs Devon, Bully sat up a table in the ring & Devon waved out members of Aces & 8s. Aces & 8s surrounded Bully in the ring, Bully keeps them away with his chain. The TNA roster lead by Sting came to the ring & they brawled with Aces & 8s. Joseph Park got in the ring with a large Aces & 8s member & Park pulled off the guys masked to unveil that it was Luke Gallows. Gallows choked slammed Park through the table. Angle & Sting cleared Gallows out of the ring.

 

TNA Calls Out WWE For Copying Storyline….. Sort Of

If you follow the wrestling industry like we do here at DTRT Wrestling News then it is no secret that the WWE has been in a tough spot for many weeks. Not only is their top star (John Cena) out of action do to an emergency operation on his elbow which forced creative writers and ultimately Vince McMahon to come up with a last minute substitute in Ryback for the Hell In a Cell pay-per-view, you also have poor ratings coming in for the 11th straight week with viewers tuning out during the third hour.

To add to what seams to be a growing list of issues within the company it looks like the WWE got caught using a TNA Wrestling storyline outline as the basis for the AJ / Cena “Scandal”. If you have followed TNA for the last few months you know that one of TNA Wrestling’s most notable talent’s A.J. Styles was involved with a similar storyline with a character by the name of Claire Lynch, which was eventually cut short due to the actress playing the role receiving heavy backlash.

The storyline which dealt with the idea that AJ Styles had an affair with a woman and got her pregnant has many similarities to the current WWE storyline involving AJ Lee and John Cena.

– Evidence for the affairs photos and videos of both getting into an elevator

– Both are based in accusations by others in the company

It remains to be seen if the current WWE storyline will continue into the near future especially now that TNA star AJ Styles appeared to acknowledged the similarities during a promo segment with Bobby Roode on this week’s Impact Wrestling broadcast on SPIKE TV.

During the segment AJ Styles said while Roode was champion, AJ had to deal with issues of his own, like being taped getting into an elevator with a member of the opposite sex, which is apparently the fad if your name is AJ.

If you saw WWE Raw this week you know that Vickie Guerrero showed her “evidence” of AJ Lee and John Cena’s alleged affair the main piece of which was video of the two getting into an elevator. While it’s humorous this slight jab at the WWE could not have come at a more worst time for the WWE.

As mentioned above the 3-hour Raw format is producing bad ratings with viewership dropping right at the top of the hour, a less then perfect outcome from Hell In a Cell and apparent issues and shake-ups within the WWE creative department.

AJ Styles is considered one of the original TNA wrestlers he has even stated that as far as he knew he was the first one signed in 2002.

As we say welcome back to AJ “the diva” we say firewall to a “firebird”

Hello fellow wrestling fans
It’s Wednesday and it’s me your buddy Nessa bringing you a recap on the WWE DIVAS for Monday night raw. However before we get to that I have to say what an amazing match Eve, Layla, and Kaitlyn put on at Hell in a Cell. I saw a few clips and I must say I thought Kaitlyn had it won after dominating the match for the most part. In the end Eve came out victorious. I’m excited to see what the future holds for these 3 women. So glad they’re getting the time they so deserve. Ok now moving on to Raw. As we all know Vickie and AJ are far from being friends so with Vickie in power of corse she’s going to do all she can to make AJ miserable. She was seen in her office telling AJ that she could indeed have her job back as a Diva under the condition that AJ never lays a hand on her. Vickie then tells AJ she will have her 1st match back against none other then the Glamazon Beth Phoenix. Now this made me happy for two reasons one being AJ is finely back in the ring and 2nd I love Beth and its been awhile since we’ve seen her compete. The match was pretty solid but you could clearly see AJ had ring rust. In the end AJ used her small size to her advantage and pulls out a surprise victory against the Glamazon with an inside Cradle. As AJ is celebrating you hear the Infamous “Excuse me!” Vickie says AJ is going to have to do more then that to impress her and the match is restarted. The bell rings and Beth blindsides AJ from behind following up with an awesome Glam Slam for the win. We return from Commercial and AJ is seen talking to Cena all the while with Vickie lurking in the background with a devious smile on her face. She is then joined by Phoenix who thanks her for restarting the match. Vickie tells Beth “if she would’ve done a better job she would’ve never had to restart it and as of now effective Immediately you’re fired” this leaves Beth speechless and in shock. Now I’m not sure if you all are aware but Beth’s contract has been up since the 22nd and the WWE wanted a good write off. Not to mention Charlotte was where Beth They debuted attacking Mickie James back in 2006
So it made perfect since to have her last match in the very arena she debuted. With that said Beth was and always will be one of the greats. I have had the honor of meeting her twice and watching her wrestle 3 times. She will be missed and there will never be another Glamazon Beth Phoenix. After training with OVW from 2005-2006 and wrestling with the WWE from 2006-2012 she has given us 7 amazing years of her life and those years will never be forgotten. Thank you Beth and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we wish you nothing but the best and blessings for your future. So guys tell me what was your favorite Beth Phoenix moment? Certainly I won’t forget all the divas she dominated over the years 2nd question I’ll leave you with is if anyone who do you see following Beth’s footsteps? Raw Recap: October 29 2012 – It’s Team Punk vs Team Foley

The show opened with pictures from the Ryback vs CM Punk Hell In A Cell Match. A banged up WWE Champion CM Punk with Paul Heyman limped his way to the ring. Punk said everyone was wrong that he couldn’t beat Ryback & that he proved everyone wrong. Punk talked about how he has beaten all of the WWE fans list of heroes. Punk said he had nothing to do with referee Brad Maddox helping him beat Ryback. Punk said there wont be a rematch with Ryback, then out came Mick Foley. Foley said he didn’t come out here to embarrass Punk because Punk did a good job of that at Hell In A Cell. Foley told Punk that last month he gave him a choice of being a Legend or to be a statistic. Foley said Punk blew it. Punk bragged about being champion for 344 days. Punk said Foley seemed liked he wanted to do something about it. Punk proposed a traditional Survivor Series match at Survivor Series, Team Punk vs Team Foley. Foley accepted, then Ryback made his way to the ring & Punk & Heyman took off through the crowd.

Ryback vs JTG, Ryback wins. After the match Josh Mathews asked Ryback if he has an appetite for revenge. Ryback said revenge is an admission of pain & he is not hurting, he’s hungry. Ryback said when he feast again it will be on CM Punk. Ryback started chanting “feed me Punk”.

Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett, Orton wins after hitting the RKO.

Backstage Vickie Guerrero told AJ Lee that she will have the chance to explain her affair with John Cena. AJ said she didn’t have an affair. Vickie said the Board of Directors has asked her to consider hiring AJ back as a Diva. Vickie said she will determine if AJ is eligible. AJ said she wants to be a performer again. Vickie asked AJ what she considered her biggest weakness to be. AJ said she can become too emotionally attached to her job. Vickie asked if AJ was admitting she’s crazy. Vickie told AJ to come to her office & give her one good reason for her to give AJ a contract.

Team Hell No vs The Prime Time Players, Team Hell No wins. After the match Kane & Bryan argue who is the Tag Team Champions.

Vickie came to the ring & introduced John Cena to the ring. Cena said Vickie’s actions last week were outrageous & to show her proof of the affair with AJ. Vickie showed footage of Cena asking out AJ. Cena said it was a joke. Vickie then showed footage from last week of Cena hugging AJ. Cena said he was just giving a friend a shoulder to cry on. Vickie showed pictures of Cena & AJ having dinner. Cena said it was just a business dinner. Vickie the showed footage of Cena & AJ outside of an hotel elevator, AJ got in the elevator with Cena. Cena said what you saw was just two people getting in a elevator. Cena said he walked AJ to her door. Vickie suggested AJ invited Cena into her room. Vickie started calling AJ names & Cena cut her off & takes up for AJ. Dolph Ziggler came down to the ring. Ziggler said everybody has seen enough to draw their on conclusion. Cena grabbed Ziggler & told him to never mention his & AJ name in the same sentence again. Cena shoved Ziggler down to the mat.

Antonio Cesaro vs Kofi Kingston, The Miz was at ringside doing commentary for the match. The Miz interfered by attacking Kofi. Kofi wins by DQ. R-Truth came down to ring to help Kofi.

Backstage Vickie teases AJ about her relationship with Cena. Vickie said she will hire AJ if  she will admit she cares for Cena. AJ said WWE means everything to her but Vickie is not worth lying for or hurting Cena. Vickie told AJ she is hired, bit if she ever lays her hands on her she is done. Vickie said to AJ that she has a match against Beth Phoenix. AJ said O.K.

Santino Marella & Zack Ryder vs Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal of 3MB, Slater & Mahal wins.

It was announced that Jerry “The King” Lawler will return in 2 weeks.

AJ vs Beth Phoenix, AJ wins but Vickie came out & said she demands more from AJ, Beth attacked AJ & Vickie said she is going to give AJ 1 more chance to do better & Vickie ordered the match the be restarted. Beth wins.

Sheamus came to the ring, Sheamus talked about still having a smile on his face after losing the World Title to the Big Show. Sheamus said Big Show was the better man at Hell In A Cell but that the war is not over. Big Show came out & said Sheamus is smiling to hide the truth. Big Show said no one has ever made him dig that deep & he realized that he has no limits& whatever Sheamus brings wont be enough. Big Show said that Sheamus can’t beat him & will never take the title from him. Sheamus picked up Big Show & dropped him with the White Noise.

Backstage Cena hugged AJ & told her it was good to see her back in the ring & to keep her chin up. Vickie was looking on in the background. Beth Phoenix approached Vickie. Vickie told Beth that if she had done her job to begin with she wouldn’t have needed to restart the match. Vickie then fired Beth.

Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs Team Rhodes Scholars, Team Rhodes Scholars win.

A video was showed about WWE teaming with Susan G. Komen. Vince McMahon & the WWE roster was on the stage. McMahon introduced Cena who was in the ring, Cena presented a check for $1,000,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Alberto Del Rio vs Justin Gabriel, Del Rio wins.

Paul Heyman in the ring brings out CM Punk, Punk limped his way to the ring. Heyman called Punk the greatest WWE Champion of all time. Heyman introduced Team Punk: The Miz, Team Rhodes Scholars & Alberto Del Rio. Punk said at Survivor Series it will be a celebration & said he will put Foley out of his misery. Foley came out to the ring. Foley said Punk weaseled his way out of Hell In A Cell & at the site of Ryback by having a crooked referee. Foley introduced Team Foley: Kofi Kingston, Team Hell No & Randy Orton. Punk praised Foley on his team. Foley said he wasn’t competing & introduced his 5th man, Ryback. A brawl broke out in the ring as Ryback made his way to the ring. Punk & Heyman retreated up the ramp as Ryback from the center of the ring stared at Punk, fans started chanting “feed me more”. Ryback picked up & delivered the Shell Shocked to Cody Rhodes.
