Hello to the wrestling world of DTRT.
I hope ya’ll had a very merry Christmas. Now I’m here to bring you the holiday diva review of Raw that was held on Christmas Eve. The divas match for this week was a Santa’s little helper tag match. Witch featured Team Eve: Eve, Aksana Tamina Snuka and Rosa Mendez vs Team Layla: Layla, Kaitlyn, Natalya and Alicia fox. Now hear me out here I loved the match don’t get me wrong but I was quite confused that they made Layla team captain as opposed to Kaitlyn. Don’t you think it would’ve made more since to make Kaitlyn captain since she has been feuding with Eve? Anyway none the less the match was freaking fantastic. I love how every diva in the match got a chance to show her skill. Not to mention since Alicia is another favorite of mine I was thrilled to see her back in the ring. Who am I kidding I was thrilled to see EVERYONE in that squared circle, and how bout those outfits huh? All of them where adorable weren’t they? I have to say Kaitlyn’s Reindeer hat was adorable. Ok sorry for going off on a tangent back to wrestling. My favorite spot of the match was when things got heated and each diva had a chance to do their signature/finisher move. Divas were scattered everyone. Keep in mind Kaitlyn and Eve where the two legal women. In all the Chaos going on in and outside of the ring; Kaitlyn gets the best of the Divas Champion Eve and gets her up on her shoulders and drops her down with her finisher. (Kaitlyn needs to come up with a name for that). Of corse after the finisher Kaitlyn goes for the pin and indeed gets the 3 count. Yep that’s right the “Hybrid Diva” got a win over the DIVAS CHAMPION again!!! That was an awesome Christmas present for me I might add. Now more then ever I know that Kaitlyn is indeed going to be the next divas champion and now only time will tell. Could it happen on the January 14th edition of Raw in her hometown of Huston Texas or could it possibly happen at The Royal Rumble on January 27th?? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I really need to get better at actually writing weekly. Sorry guys but none the less I’m back. Now I have two topics to choose from the craziness that’s known as AJ or the awesome hybrid diva Kaitlyn. Since this is a WRESTLING news site then I’m going to talk about Kaitlyn. Sorry guys it’s just I’m sick and tired of what creative teams have done to AJ she used to be my favorite diva but I can’t root for someone who doesn’t even wrestle but instead sticks her tongue down nine guys throats. It truly does sadden me because once upon a time this girl had potential. Now moving on to the “Hybrid diva” known as Kaitlyn. In the last past 3 months WWE has been letting her shine and I couldn’t be any freaking happier. It’s awesome to see how far she’s come. I’m betting by the new year she’ll be the divas champion. You can see based on what happened on Monday and Tuesday she is indeed still in the title picture. I Just hope AJ doesn’t ruin Kaitlyn’s chance. Lets be real here AJ had her time to shine and after two years kaitlyn’s time is way over due. She has truly proven to be a force to be reckon with. Becoming number one contender twice, beating the likes of Tamina, Aksana, Beth, and the divas champion Eve (just to name a few). Even the legendary diva Trish Stratus said that Kaitlyn has potential. Now if anybody has credibility it’s Trish. She has Definitely won my heart over and trust me that’s a hard thing to do when it comes to female wrestlers. Growing up Lita was my favorite and now I can honestly say that in the current day Kaitlyn is my new Lita. I’m not saying there styles are similar by any means but rather saying she has the total package to be the next big thing in the Divas division. When and I say when with confidence that she’ll win the title it’ll be a glorious day for me. I guess you can truly say I’m team kaitkyn. The sky is the limit for her and I can’t wait to see what’s next on this journey. Are you a Kaitlyn fan too? Do you agree or disagree about what I stated in this blog? During the 6-man tag match on Super Smackdown Live between The Prime Time Players and Wade Barrett vs Team Hell No and Kofi Kingston, and after The Shield once again gang attacked and individual, this time Sin Cara, announcer JBL was singing the praises of The Shield and their form of “justice”. JBL was interrupted by Michael Cole who made the following remarks,

“John, I agree with you in one way OK  that it’s sometimes exciting and this chaotic atmosphere, the problem is when they start seriously injuring Superstars now you’ve got issues and at some point GM Booker T here, Vickie Guerrero,the  Managing Supervisor at RAW they have to take a serious look at what’s going on here with this group.”

It was also announced that The Shield had attacked Rey  Mysterio had been attacked back stage prior to Sin Cara’s match and explained why Mesterio did not accompany Sin Cara to the ring, when it was obvious that Sin Cara was expecting Mysterio. Sin Cara and Mesterio were both taken to a local medical facility in Pittsburgh.

JBL says to call them out and face them man-to-man, but Cole remained firm in his feelings – as Team Hell No and Kofi Kingston celebrated the victory in the ring but cautiously looking over their shoulders in anticipation of another attack by The Shield, Cole said,

“It’s not lost on these three individuals the damage that The Shield has already done here on Super Smackdown Live”. And this followed Cole’s remarks at the end of the Sin Cara beatdown, “they can call themselves what they want but they are a bunch of vigilantes a bunch of thugs.”

This week on Raw it was the Slammy Awards.

Rey Mysterio vs Damien Sandow: Mysterio got the win.

Booker T presented the “Tell Me I Just Did Not See That” Most Shocking Moment of the Year Slammy Award: Nominees were Brad Maddox screwing Ryback, Daniel Bryan losing in 18 seconds at Wrestle Mania, Kofi Kingston walking on his hands at the Royal Rumble & CM Punk hitting the GTS on The Rock at Raw 1000. The Boogeyman came out smashed his alarm clock over his head, danced around & pulled out the worms. Booker T said “Tell me I just did not see that”. Brad Maddox came thinking he was going to win thw award for screwing Ryback. Kofi Kingston won for walking on his hands to avoid elimination at the Royal Rumble.

Kaitlyn vs Eve: Kaitlyn got the win. After the match Kaitlyn got Eve’s Diva Title & laid it over Eve then mocked Eve by posing for pictures with Eve laid out on the mat.

The New Age Outlaws presented the Comeback of the Year Slammy: Nominees were Brock Lesnar. Chris Jericho, DX & Jerry “The King” Lawler. The winner was Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Kofi Kingston vs Tensai: Kingston got the win. After the match while Kingston was celebrating Wade Barrett attacked Kingston from behind.

Vickie Guerrero presented the Kiss of the Year Slammy: The nominees were AJ kissing Daniel Bryan. AJ kissing Kane, AJ kissing CM Punk & AJ kissing John Cena. Vickie said that she would never be nominated for this award because she would never abuse her authority by having a romantic relationship with a Superstar. The winner was AJ kissing Cena. AJ came out skipping. Vickie said that AJ needed to explain her actions at TLC. AJ said that she doesn’t owe anybone anything. AJ said that she cared a lot about what people thought about her including the fans but not anymore. Vickie called AJ trash & they argued. Dolph Ziggler came out & got between them. AJ said that might have been kiss of the year but that was nothing compared to this. AJ jumped onto Ziggler & kissed him. Vickie scream & stormed off while AJ & Ziggler was still kissing.

The Great Khali with Natalya vs David Otunga. Khali got the win.

Ric Flair presented the Superstar of the Year Slammy: Nominees were Sheamus, Big Show, CM Punk & John Cena. The winner was John Cena. Cena gave tha award to Flair. CM Punk & Paul Heyman came out. Punk said that this was completly ridiculous. Punk said that Cena had the worst year of his life. Punk called Cena a loser & was mad that he gave it to Flair. Punk said he should be Superstar of the year because he has been WWE Champion for 393 days. Punk said that he is the man & started whoooing. Flair said Punk can’t even walk & refered to Heyman as Punk’s baggage. Punk said that he could kick Flair’s but with one leg. Flair said lets do this & took off his jacket & went to the ring. Punk & Heyman went to the ring. Punk hit Flair with his crutch then broke the crutch over Flair’s back. Flair poked Punk in the eyes with his thumb & Punk went to the mat. Flair grabbed Heyman & locked in the Figure Four leg lock. Heyman tapped & Flair let lose of the hold. Flair got on the mic & told Lawler that he loved him & said that they never get rid of him & Lawler. The Shield came out appearing from the crowd & was making there way toward the ring. Flair told them to come on down & the show went to a commercial. Back from the commercial Team Hell No & Flair where fighting with The Shield. The Shield was about to put Flair through the announce table when Ryback came down to the ring & went after The Shield. Team Hell No got back in the fight . Ryback pressed Rollins over his head & tossed him onto the announce table. The Shield escaped through the crowd. Ryback, Flair & Team Hell No celebrated in the ring. Ryback & Kane lifted Flair up on their shoulders.

Backstage Flair with Team Hell No. Flair was whooing, Kane was yelling yes, & Bryan was yelling no. Ron Simmons came up & they stopped & Simmons delivered his catch phrase “Damn!”

Brodus Clay vs JTG: Brodus Clay got the win.

Santino Marella & Tensai with his head bandaged presented the LOL Moment of the Year Slammy. Santino did his best to not laugh at Tensai. The nominees were The Rock, Team Hell No, Randy Orton & Vickie Guerrero. The winner was The Rock for throwing Cena’s stuff off a bridge. Santino said that The Rock wasn’t here to accept so he accepted it for him & if The Rock doesn’t claim it then he will keep it. Daniel Bryan came out yelling no & said that it should be his Slammy. Kane had to carry Bryan off.

Sin Cara vs Cody Rhodes: Rhodes got the win. JBL made fun of Rhodes’ mustache by calling him Freddie Mercury.

Zack Ryder & Layla presented the Trending Now # Slammy. Nominees were #feedmemore, #peoplepower, #littlejimmy & #WWWYKI. The winner was #feedmemore.

Big Show came to the ring carrying a huge steel folding chair. Big Show said he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He said he is the most dominate WWE Superstar. Fans started chanting “boring”. Sheamus came to the ring. Sheamus said that last night at TLC Big Show was the better man. Sheamus shook Big Show’s hand. Big Show told Sheamus to get to the back of the line & then insulted him. Sheamus got angry & tackled Big Show & hit him with the huge chair. Sheamus the laid out Big Show with a Brogue Kick. Ziggler came running to the ring to cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase but Cena ran to the ring & attacked Ziggler.

Backstage Ziggler was complaining to Vickie that Cena cost him the World Title & that he wanted a match with Cena. Vickie was upset that Ziggler & AJ was kissing. Vickie asked Ziggler about AJ helping him at TLC. Ziggler said that he had no idea. Ziggler said that his & Vickie’s relationship is over. Ziggler said that her jealousy is tired, old & ugly just like her. Vickie made a match; Ziggler & AJ vs Cena & herself.

3MB vs Alberto Del Rio, The Miz & Tommy Dreamer: Del Rio, The Miz & Dreamer got the win when Dreamer connected with a devastating DDT.

Sheamus presented the Newcomer of the Year Slammy. The winner was Ryback. Ryback came out & accepted the award. Ryback quoted the late great Owen Hart. Ryback said “enough is enough & it’s time for a change”. Ryback said that he is that change & chanted “feed me more”.

Ryback vs Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro walked away from the match so Ryback won by count out.

Mean Gene Okerlund, Ricky Steamboat & J.R. presented the Match of the Year Slammy. The nominees were Undertaker vs Triple H, Brock Lesnar vs John Cena, Sheamus vs Big Show & at Hell In A Cell & John Cena vs The Rock. The winner was Undertaker vs Triple H. Triple H accepted the award. Triple H said that it was a magical night that he will never forget. Triple H said that we haven’t seen the last of the Undertaker.

Backstage The Shield attacked Tommy Dreamer. They beat him down & taunted him, Ricardo Rodriguez tried to stop them & got beat down too. The Shield left the building.

AJ came to the ring & had 2 crew members set a ladder up in the ring. AJ climbed up the ladder. AJ said that she is just full of surprises. She said all that people has been asking her is why did she do that to Cena at TlC. She said that she thought that it was obvious. AJ was about to say why when Vickie interrupted & came to the ring.

Dolph Ziggler & AJ vs John Cena & vickie Guerrero: Ziggler tagged AJ in & she came in a stared at Cena with a smile. Vickie came in & tackled AJ & they brawled on the mat. AJ slid out of the ring & left up the ramp. Vickie left the ring soon after. Ziggler & Cena was left to go 1 on 1. AJ came back out with Big E Langston from NXT. Langston attacked Cena & laid him out. Langsto stood over Cena & AJ skipped around him.

WWE TLC pay-per-view opens up with Lilian Garcia. They sound the bell 26 times for the victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy. Lilian thanks everyone and we go to an opening video for TLC. Michael Cole welcomes us to TLC for WWE’s debut in Brooklyn. He’s joined by JBL and Jerry Lawler

Tables Match for the #1 Contendership
Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow

The match starts and they go at it. Sandow and Rey, Cara and Rhodes. They double team Cody and send him out to the floor. Cara leaps off Rey’s back and elbows Sandow in the face. Rey and Cara toss Sandow out and they’ve cleared the ring early. They hit a double slide kick on Sandow and go under the ring for a table, sliding it back in the ring. Cody comes in but they drop him with the table. Sandow ducks it but they kick his legs out. They hit Sandow in the face with the table next. Rey and Cara set the table up now. Rey puts Sandow on it while Cara goes up top. Cody makes the save. Cody throws Rey out of the ring while they double team Cara.

Cody works on Rey outside now. Back in the ring for more double teaming on Cara. They go to double team Cara through the table but he counters and sends Sandow to the floor. Rey stops Cody from attacking Cody. Cara goes at it with Cody and arm drags him across the ring. Cody drops Cara’s face in the corner and hits the Disaster Kick. Sandow whips Rey into the ring post. More double teaming on Cara. Sandow and Rhodes in control on the floor now. They put Cara’s leg in between the steel steps and ram it with a table. They set up two tables on the floor and put Rey and Cara on top of them. Cody runs the ropes but Rey trips Sandow. Rey stops Cody and hits a senton from the top. Rey with the DDT on Sandow. Cody tries to powerbomb Rey but Rey sends him to the floor. Rey leaps from the apron to the floor and takes out Rhodes. Cara leaps in and unloads on Sandow.

Cara takes Sandow out on the floor while Rey brings Cody in the ring for back and forth. Rey goes for 619 and nails it. Rey puts Cody on the table and goes up top. Sandow knocks Rey off the top and makes the save. They hit Rey in the head with a table and he goes to the floor. Cara comes in and takes down Sandow with an enziguri. Cara limps as he sends Cody to the floor. Cara with another big kick to Sandow. Cara tries to springboard in on Sandow but Cody rushes in and shoves Cara out of mid-air, sending him crashing through a table on the floor.

WINNER:  New #1 Contenders: Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes

WWE United States Title Match
R-Truth vs. Antonio Cesaro

Back and forth to start the match. Cesaro takes control and gets the first pin attempt. Cesaro with a headlock now. Truth turns it around and takes Cesaro to the mat.

More back and forth action. Cesaro with a submission now. He keeps it locked for several minutes as the crowd boo’s and Truth struggles to get out. Cesaro takes Truth to the turnbuckles but Truth hulks up and fights back. Truth drops Cesaro twice and hits the big elbow off the ropes. Truth with a kick and then the scissors kick. Truth covers for 2. Cesaro looks to come back but Truth kicks him in the jaw for a close 2 count.

Cesaro comes back again. Cesaro hits an uppercut from behind and then the Neutralizer for the win.

WINNER: Antonio Cesaro

After the match, Matt Striker interviews Cesaro in the ring about the fans reaction to him. Cesaro says unlike America, he is an international superpower. Cesaro says he is the greatest US Champion in history. Cesaro says fans are booing their own country when they boo him. Cesaro goes on before hitting the turnbuckles with his title.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match

Wade Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston

Numerous pinning opportunities for both Superstars during the early going. Barrett started to take over using his size and strength, but it was only temporary as Kofi came back with several high flying moves. After several more back and forth moves, Kofi hit a surprise Trouble in Paradise for the win. Very good match.

WINNER: Kofi Kingston

C M Punk promo from his sky box with Paul Heyman. Said that the status of his knee injury was none of the fan’s business. Good heel heat ragging on the local fans. Gave all the what – if’s on what would have happened if he would have faced Ryback. Predicts that The Shield will beat Ryback tonight but says he is not affiliated with The Shield, but he’s a big fan of theirs. This is day 392 of Punk’s title run.

Six-Man TLC Match

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Kane, Daniel Bryan and Ryback

Kane first to the ring, followed by Daniel Bryan. Both came out to their own intro music. Then we hear FEED ME MORE and out comes Ryback. The Shield’s intro music starts and they enter through the crowd. All 6 brawl on the floor. Lots of ladder and chair action and more than one We Want Tables chant comes from crowd.  Ryback double back drops two members of The Shield on a ladder. Awesome move.  A little later, The Shield Triple Power Bombs Ryback through the Spanish announce table once again. The Shield are doing a great job of keeping their opponents isolated. Most of the time it was 3 on 1 with The Shield giving a severe beat down on Team Hell No and Ryback. Kane does come back with a massive choke slam of Dean Ambrose through a chair. Later Ryback nails Ambrose with The Shell Shock but the other members of The Shield make the save. Rollins climbs a ladder as Ryback is laid out on a table. Ryback gets up and chases Rollins up the ladder and throws him off the ladder through a table from about 15 feet up. Meanwhile Raines and Ambrose both power bomb Daniel Bryan through a table in the ring and Raines gets the pin on Bryan.

WINNER: The Shield

 

Divas Championship Match

Eve vs. Naomi

Short match as Eve wins with a neck-breaker.

Winner: Eve

 

Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Title

Sheamus vs. Big Show

Sheamus comes out pounding Show, seeming to hardly be able to wait for the No Contact clause to be over. Sheamus tries to use a chair first but Show gives him a massive back kick putting the chair firmly into Sheamus’ face. When Sheamus finally hits Show with three straight chair shots and then picked the Big Man up and body slammed him. Show gets a near fall after a huge choke slam on Sheamus who kicked out at the last second. Big Show starts to take over and is nearly pinned several times, and out of no where Sheamus hits White Noise through 2 chairs and somehow Show kicks out at a two count.  Sheamus tries the Brogue Kick but misses and Big Show hits the KO Punch. Sheamus kicks out at two. Big Show gets an over sized chair and nails Sheamus who isn’t able to kick out this time.

WINNER: Big Show

 

Added Match: 6-man Tag Match

Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, and The Brooklyn Brawler (Yes I said that, The Brooklyn Brawler)  vs. 3MB

After The Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale he tags in The Brawler who puts the Boston (or they said Brooklyn) Crap on Jinder who tapped out.

Winner: Del Rio, The Miz and The Brooklyn Brawler

Ladder Match for the Money in the bank Briefcase
John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

Good action from both Superstars. Cut open over Cena’s right eye. Cena nails The Show Off with the ring steps. Vicious blow to Ziggler’s head. Ziggler locks in a sleeper hold and with Cena nearly out – Cena starts climbing a ladder with Ziggler holding on to the sleeper hold. Both Cena and Ziggler fall off the ladder right through a table that Cena had set up earlier. Cena’s eye looks like it’s about to close shut. Cena puts his submission hold on Ziggler and Ziggler taps out but that’s not how you win this match. As the match continues, Ziggler is proving that he belongs in the Main Event! Fantastic action from both wrestlers. JBL calls the match a war. Both men are hardly able to move at times. Holy Cow, Cena just hit a Hurricarana on Ziggler through a table. There is literally busted up tables, ladders and chairs all over the place. Vickie is out and here comes AJ who uses Cena’s signature moves on Vickie. Cena has a clear path to the win, climbs to the top of the ladder and just as he is going to grab the MITB briefcase, AJ pushed the ladder over with Cena on top. Ziggler then climbs the ladder and gets the briefcase for the win.

WINNER: Dolph Ziggler (with an assist from AJ Lee)

The Rock is being advertised for WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February. Reports are that he will be wrestling at the pay-per-view. He most likely will be in one of the Elimination Chamber matches. The Rock has never before competed in a Elimination Chamber match.
