Well it looks like the WWE despite marketing last year as “once in a life time” will begin the buildup for a Cena vs Rock match-up for Wrestlemania 29 tonight. Cena has not been champion for a long period of time and is still touted as the PG face of the company. The Rock who is signed to the WWE through mania needs to pass the title on and it needs to go to the face of the company. That leaves CM Punk open for a match with The Undertaker at Mania if Taker is able or a match with Brock Lesnar.

AJ Lee has said in numerous interviews that it is her wish to be involved in a big way at Wrestlemania. Growing up just 10 minutes from where it will be held it would only make sense from a booking standpoint.  However Wrestlemania has not been a good stage for diva’s the WWE relies on it’s part-timers to carry the card and thus it leaves Diva’s matches off the table or just a novelty.

If AJ hopes to get a big spot it would be to begin a feud with Kaitlyn tonight and Elimination Chamber. The common sense approach would be to have AJ interfere in a fit of Jealousy over Kaitlyn becoming champion before she did  The real history the two have with each other would make it believable and marketable. Tamina would fit in well in a triple threat match at Wrestlemania

 

WWE Champion The Rock vs. CM Punk

Prediction: Rock gets the win to move to Wrestlemania vs Cena.

Ed’s Wish: That Brock Lesnar would attack both men and leave them laying, thus leading to a heel vs heel matchup with Punk and Lesnar with Heyman stuck in the middle.

John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus vs. The Shield

Prediction: The good guys win via DQ as The Shield brandish their type of justice that doesn’t come close to following the rules.

Ed’s Wish: Ryback would turn heel and help The Shield demolish Cena and Sheamus.

Elimination Chamber Match to Become No. 1 Contender for World Heavyweight Championship

Prediction: Mark Henry will emerge the victory.

Ed’s Wish: always want to see Y2J win, but he is too busy doing the right thing by putting other superstars over.

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show

Prediction: Show’s time as Champion is over – Del Rio wins again and retains the belt.

Ed’s Wish: That after the match Mark Henry would attack Del Rio with Show making the save and a baby face turn.

United States Champion Antonio Cesaro vs. The Miz

Prediction: Cesaro seems like he will keep our U S belt a while longer.

Ed’s Wish: after the match Flair leads the cheers for The Miz to go crazy on Cesaro to build up to Mania. This one’s not over.

Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. Tamina Snuka

Prediction: Will be a good match if given time. Kaitlyn will hold on to title.

Ed’s Wish: AJ Lee would interfere and cause Tamina to lose by DQ. Kaitlyn and Tamina would both jump AJ to set up a three way feud to add some spice to the Divas division.

Brodus Clay and Tensai vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Pre-Show)

Prediction: Who cares? Clay and Tensai are getting a push so they will get the win.

Ed’s Wish: Tensai couldn’t sell ice cubes to Eskimos so I wish they would all chase him and his lingerie back to Japan!

Hulk Hogan came to the ring & said that he has a couple of big things going down. First thing is Hogan made 4 matches for tonight to help him find out who to pick for the # 1 contender to face  Jeff Hardy for the World Title at Lockdown. RVD vs James Storm, Daniels vs Magnus, Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe & Bobby Roode vs Austin Aries. Hogan said at the end of the night he will come back to the ring to announce who he picked for the # 1 contender to face Hardy at Lockdown. The other thing is Aces & Eights. Hogan said that Aces & Eights challenged TNA to a fight at Lockdown. Hogan said Sting will be the captain of team TNA. Sting came to the ring & said challenge accepted. Sting said he will be looking for 3 killers to join him on team TNA. Sting said that they will tear the heads off of Aces & Eights at Lockdown. Sting said Aces & Eights “Whatcha gonna do when the Stinger runs wild over you”.

Daniels vs Magnus: Kazarian kept interfering in the match so the referee sent Kazarian to the back. Magnus got the win.

Backstage Bully Ray laying on a couch with Brooke stroking his head. Bully said to Brooke that this not the way it was suppose to go down. He said he is so disappointed in himself, he never thought an injury would stop him. Bully said that he wanted to win the World title. Brooke said she feels so sorry for Bully & she doesn’t know what to say. Bully told Brooke that since it is Valentine’s Day he is going to take her to buy a pair of shoes that she wants then take her to the Italian restaurant that she likes & take her dancing. Brooke told Bully to be careful of his leg. Brooke told Bully to wear hi wedding ring. She said she found it on the bathroom sink after he left this morning.

Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle: Wes Briscoe & Garett Bischoff came through the crowd & entered the ring during the match & attacked Joe & Angle. Joe & Angle was able to fight them off & Briscoe & Bischoff retreated through the crowd.

Backstage Dixie Carter was talking with British Boot Camp contestants The Blossom Twins & Party Marty. She said she is giving them a opportunity to show what they can do in a Impact Wrestling ring & told them to take it to another level.

The Blossom Twins & Party Marty vs Gail Kim, Tara & Jesse. Gail Kim got the pin for the win. After the match Gail said that she once again proved she is the most dominating Knockout in TNA & told Tara that she wants the Title back. Gail called out Brooke to came out & give her what she wants. Brooke came out & said that she will give her a Title match but that it will be a 4-Way Elimination match. Knockout Champ Tara vs Gail Kim vs Miss Tessmacher vs Velvet Sky. Brooke said that she will be at ringside to make sure no shenanigans takes place.

Backstage Bobby Roode & Austin Aries said they got to stick to the plan to take all the titles. They said they will do what is right for business tonight.

RVD vs James Storm: Storm got the win.

Backstage Joseph Park said to Hogan that he knows that Hogan is looking for an opponent for Hardy at Lockdown. Park said that some of the boys told him that if he wants to get anywhere in the company that he needs to learn how to politic. Hogan said that Park doesn’t need to politic with him because they are good. Park said he went out & hires a campaign manager & everything. He said he got buttons & posters made that said Vote For Park World Heavyweight Champion 2013. Hogan asked Park if that is what the boys told him what politicking was. Park said that he just assumed. Hogan asked him if he knows what a rib is & told Park to go ask the boys what a rib is. Park asked Hogan if he could count on his vote. Hogan said he could while smiling.

Backstage Brooke talked to Hogan about Bully wanting the World title so badly. Hogan told her that he has 8 other guys that he is looking at & has to keep an open mind. Hogan told her to quit pushing so hard. Brooke said Bully got in this business because of Hogan & wants to be just like him. She said that Bully wants it so badly & that he never has been the champion before. Brooke told Hogan to soften up a little bit because Bully is family. Hogan said that he would love to have a son in-law as World Champion but he has to remain objective & told Brooke to chill. Hogan said that he would definitely take it under advisement.

Bobby Roode vs Austin Aries: Before the match started Roode said that it has only taken Hogan one week to try & screw with their plan. Roode said that last week was just the beginning becoming World Tag Team Champions & that they tend on winning all the gold in Impact Wrestling & will bring back prestige & honor to the titles. Aries said him & Roode are on the same page & they know what has to be done & know what is right for business. Aries said thy are going to take care of this real easy & told the referee to ring the bell. Roode & Aries poked each other thinking the other one was going to take a dive. Aries said that he would be the bigger man a lay down for Roode. Aries laid down & Roode made the pin cover but Aries kicked out & tried to get a pin on Roode but Roode kcked out. They finally started to wrestle each other. Later in the match the referee got knocked down & Roode brought a chair into the ring & slammed on the mat & laid down to trick the referee into thinking Aries had hit him with the chair but before the referee could get up Aries did the same thing that Roode did. Chavo & Hernandez came out & Roode & Aries left the ring & walked toward them. The referee counted & Roode & Aries ran back toward the ring trying to get in the ring befoer the 10 count but they wasn’t able to. Roode & Aries was both counted out.

Backstage Hogan was talking to Sting about the decision he has to make about the #1 contender for Hardy. Sting told Hogan that he knows that he will do the right thing.

Hogan came to the ring & before he could announce his decision Aces & Eights came to the ring & surrounded Hogan. Bully came to the ring with his chain to help Hogan. then Sting came to the ring with 2 baseball bats & a cricket bat. Sting handed the baseball bats to Hogan & Bully. Aces & Eights retreated through the crowd. Devon told Hogan, Bully & Sting that they are dead.

 

Heyman already in the ring said that tonight is the last night we will see him. He said he will never play the victim. He talked about how he sacrificed everything for ECW & then coming to WWE where he he sacrificed again turning Brock Lesnar into the next big thing. He said he has done so with great passion & vision. He said then he meet CM Punk a man who could carry WWE in the future & even eclipse Bruno Sammartino’s title reign. Heyman said something bad is going to happen here. He said he has became a distraction for CM Punk because of Mr. McMahon’s obsession with him(Heyman). He said he can’t let that happen so that is why he is tendering his resignation. CM Punk came to the ring & asked what he is doing. Heyman said he is in Punk’s way because McMahon thinks he paid off Brad Maddox & The Shield & had something to do with Lesnar’s attack on McMahon. Punk said he isn’t going to let Heyman do this.. Punk said Heyman is way to important to him & this company. Heyman said Punk has to let him go. Punk said everything will go back to normal at the Elimination Chamber & Heyman will be in his corner when he beats The Rock. Punk said they are a team. Heyman said he will be there in his corner then they hugged.

Great Khali vs Mark Henry: Henry got the win. After the match Henry came back into the ring & laid out Hornswoggle with a World’s Strongest Slam.

Backstage Booker T was talking to Teddy Long about Mark Henry. Chris Jericho walked up & said that he should be in the Elimination Chamber match. Booker T said Jericho will be in if he can beat Daniel Bryan. Jericho said he is about to be closer to being a 7 time World Champ & asked if Booker T can dig that sucker.

Vickie in her office. Heyman came in & Vickie said that she didn’t have time for b.s. Heyman said that he wants Vickie to add a stipulation to WWE Title match. Vickie said not without McMahon’s approval. Her phone rang & it was McMahon & she put Heyman on the phone with him. McMahon asked Heyman what he wanted. Heyman said he wants Rock to lose WWE Title on a count out or DQ. McMahon agreed to add the stipulation. Heyman said to McMahon that he always thought of him as a father figure. McMahon hung up on Heyman.

Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho: Jericho got the win to earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber match.

3MB vs Sheamus, Ryback & John Cena: Cena hit the AA, Sheamus hit the White Noise & Ryback hit the Shell Shocked & Cena pinned Jinder for the win. Ryback said that Sunday is the day he has waited for & he is going to feast on The Shield. Sheamus said that he doesn’t know why we can’t wait to get some of their own justice tonight. Cena said that The Shield coming to the ring tonight to address the WWE Universe is a bad idea. Cena said that The Shield will meet the sword tonight & told them to come & get some.

Footage was showed from earlier tonight of Alex Riley & Yoshi Tatsu laughing about what happened to Big Show being covered in paint by Alberto Del Rio & Del Rio putting Big Show’s bus on blocks. Big Show walked up & decked them both.

Big Show came to the ring. Matt Striker started to ask Big Show a question & Big Show knocked him out. Big Show was so angry that he couldn’t say anything. Big Show dropped the mic & left.

Zack Ryder vs Jack Swagger: Swagger had Zeb Colter( AKA “Dirty” Dutch Mantel) with him in his corner. Swagger got the win. Swagger introduced Zeb Colter. Zeb said that he sees a country that he doesn’t recognize. Faces not like his & languages he can’t understand. Zeb said where did these people come from & how do we get rid of them. Zeb said that he & Swagger are real Americans & real patriots.

Backstage Booker T & Teddy Long was talking. Booker T said that Swagger is in the Elimination Chamber match. Dolph Ziggler walked up with AJ & Big E Langston. Ziggler said if Jericho is in the Elimination Chamber match then he wants in the match. Booker T said that he knows somebody else who wants in the match & that person is Kane. Booker T made a match of Kane vs Ziggler & whoever wins will get the final spot in the Elimination Chamber match.

The Miz vs Cody Rhodes: Antonio Cesaro did commentary during the match. The Miz won by DQ because Cesaro attacked The Miz.

Primo & Epico vs Brodus Clay & Tensai: Brodus & Tensai got the win. After the match Tensai danced with Brodus, Cameron & Naomi. Rosa got in Tensai’s face & Naomi tossed Rosa out of the ring & flipped over the ropes onto the apron & Cameron did a baseball slide kick knocking Rosa to down to the floor.

The Shield came to the ring & talked about Cena threatening them earlier. They said if you want us come & get us. The Shield said that Cena can bring the whole world with him & they would still be standing. They said Cena has failed & will fail again Sunday at Elimination Chamber. They said that Cena has been a problem this past decade & The Shield is the solution. They Sunday they have a opportunity to rectify the decade long problem. The lights went out & when the lights came back on Cena, Sheamus & Ryback was in the ring attacking The Shield. The Shield retreated through the crowd.

Damien Sandow vs Alberto Del Rio: Before the match Sandow insulted Nashville & country music. Del Rio got the win. After the match Del Rio said that Big Show gave his best promo ever in the ring earlier tonight when Big Show didn’t say anything. Del Rio said that after Sunday Big Show can take his bus & go wherever he wants & that he is going to Wrestle Mania.

Backstage Wade Barrett on his way to the ring was attacked by Bo Dallas.

Kofi Kingston vs Wade Barrett: Barrett got the win.

Kane vs Dolph Ziggler: Kane got the win. Kane joins Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho & Jack Swagger in the Elimination Chamber match.

The Rock came to the ring. Rock said that tonight is a very special night. “The Rock has finally come back to Nashville.” Rock said Nashville is a special city to him because he moved here with his family when he was 15 in 1987. Rock told a story about hanging out in a bar with Downtown Bruno & buying what turned out to be a stolen car from a crackhead. CM Punk came out with Heyman. Rock said that Heyman stacked the deck against him with the stipulations he added to the match. Rock said for Punk to bring it. Rock said he will kick Punk’s butt all over Nashville. Punk charged into the ring & brawled with Rock. Rock was about to deliver The People’s Elbow on Punk when Heyman grabbed Rock’s feet tripping him. Punk laid out Rock with the GTS. Punk walked off with the WWE Title. Punk said because the WWE Title belongs to him, he is just going to take it.

 

 

 

The star of Disney Channel’s popular series “Shake It Up” briefly talked pro wrestling recently while answering questions from her fans on her official YouTube Channel. In a video uploaded on February 8th Bella Throne was asked which WWE superstar she preferred The Rock or John Cena.

While Bella likes The Rock, her mom who was reading the questions off camera picked John Cena as her favorite.
