Triple H was scheduled to face Curtis Axel tonight. The fans booed. Stephanie said she is not going to allow Triple H to jeopardize his well being against Curtis Axel who is beneath him. Mr. Vince McMahon came to ring & said please don’t boo his daughter Stephanie. Vince said have some compassion she is right. Vince said Triple H will not compete tonight. The fans booed. Vince said what do you want from that man(Triple H), WWE is family entertainment not a blood sport. Vinve mentioned that when Ryback put Kofi Kingston through a table the fans chanted 1 more time. Vince said there is not going to be 1 more time for Triple H. Vince said that Axel is beneath him as well as the fans. The Shield interrupted & made their way to the ring. During the commercial break Vince & Stephanie left the ring.
The Shield vs Randy Orton & Team Hell No: Dean Ambrose hit his finisher on Daniel Bryan & got the pin. The Shield wins.
Backstage, Daniel Bryan argued with Randy Orton & Kane. Bryan said they think he is the weak link. Bryan said it was his fault they lost. Bryan said Kane & Orton don’t respect him. Kane said we do respect you & that Bryan has lost touch with reality. Bryan said reality is he is the weak link. Bryan said he is going to have another match & beat the respect out of somebody else & then maybe Kane & Orton will respect him.
Triple H arrived at the arena & went to see Vince & Stephanie. Triple told them he is wrestling tonight. Stephanie sadi no & that Curtis Axel is not worth it. Triple H said he is medically cleared & is going to wrestle. Stephanie said no. Vince said what happened to the cerebral assassin & that Triple H isn’t being very cerebral at the moment. Vince told Triple H to get his ego out of this. Triple H said he is going to wrestle Curtis Axel & who is going to stop him. Stephanie stepped in between Triple H & Vince. Vince told Triple H don’t do something your going to regret.

Sheamus vs Cody Rhodes: Damien Sandow did commentary during the match. Sheamus got the win. After the match Sheamus came over to Sandow & offered a handshake. Sandow refused to shake hands & slapped his hand away. Sheamus hit Sandow with a right hand & knocking Sandow to the floor.
Triple H is with Stephanie headed toward his limo. Triple H said he is leaving but not because of Vince. Triple H said he is doing it for her so that he doesn’t have to beat our kids grandfather’s *ss on live TV. Triple told Stephanie to tell that crazy ole bastard that next Monday night when we come on the air he is going to be in the ring to wrestle Curtis Axel.
Daniel Bryan backstage, he kicked over a cart. Ryback appeared & told Bryan that he better watch what he is doing. Bryan said or what are you going to put me through 3 tables like you did Kofi. Ryback told Bryan that his throw up is bigger than him. Bryan said he isn’t afraid of him. Ryback laughed & said Bryan has lost his mind. Ryback said for Bryan to get in the ring with him tonight. Bryan said go ahead & underestimate him & see what happens. Ryback said he already knows what is going to happen because Bryan is the weak link & after their match Bryan is going to be the missing link. Ryback walked off & Bryan shook his head.
Backstage Paul Heyman & Curtis Axel with Vince McMahon. Vince said Axel isn’t wrestling Triple H tonight or next week. heyman said we will see you Friday at Smackdown & thanked Vince for the opportunity. Vince made a match for Axel tonight against John Cena & it will be a no disqualification match. Vince shook hands with Axel & wished him good luck.
Fandango vs The Great Khali: Khali was getting the best of Fandango so Fandango walked away from the match with Summer Rae up the ramp. The Miz came out to stop Fandango. Wade Barrett hit The Miz from behind with the Bull Hammer Elbow. No decision was announced for the match.
Wade Barrett vs The Miz: Fandango came out on the stage & danced with Summer. Barrett got distracted & The Miz got the win by submission with the Figure 4 Leg Lock.
Jerry Lawler in the ring to conduct the contract signing for the Chris Jericho vs CM Punk match. Jericho came to the ring & Paul Heyman came to the ring to represent Punk. Heymam said to Jericho when you show up for Payback in Chicago to wrestle my client the best in the world CM Punk the longest reigning WWE Champion. Jericho interrupted & finished Heyman’s statement for him. Jericho called Heyman Mr. Walrus. Jericho said all he cares for is Heyman delivering CM Punk to Payback in Chicago. Heyman signed the contract & said to Jericho before you sign the agreement let me ask you if you are prepared to be vilified, booed, jeered, heckled by partisan, bias hometown crowd where CM Punk can do no wrong. Heyman you may be the best in the world at what you do but CM Punk is the best in the world at what he does & what CM Punk does is make liars out of people who think they can lay claim to the title of being the best in the world. Jericho said maybe we should have the match at Summer Slam in Los Angeles. Heyman said no. Jericho said how about in Madison Square Garden in New York City. Heyman said no. Jericho said how about right here in Hartford, Connecticut. Heyman said no. Jericho said well I guess we will have to have it in Chicago then signed the contract. Jericho said there is one thing he realized is it doesn’t matter where your from if you act like a jack*ss like CM Punk acts you get treated like a jack*ss. The Bella Twins & AJ Lee vs The Funkadactyls & Kaitlyn: AJ refused a tag from Brie Bella which caused a distraction. Kaitlyn speared Brie & got the pin. Kaitlyn & The Funkadactyls win.
Daniel Bryan backstage with Kane. Kane said to Bryan that fighting Ryback tonight is a mistake & that you saw what that animal Ryback did to Kofi. Bryan said I’m fine I can do this. Kane told Bryan in all the years that he has been here he has never seen anyone with your heart or your desire or your will to fight & you prove it night after night. Kane said you don’t have anything to prove to me or anyone else. Bryan shook his head no & said your wrong Kane your always wrong I do have something to prove & beating Ryback will prove it. Bryan said he is going to prove it without Kane. Bryan yelled at Kane & told him that he doesn’t want him anywhere near him tonight & asked Kane if he got it. Kane said he got it loud & clear & said I’m out of here & for Bryan to call him when he finds his mind because it is obvious that Bryan has lost it. Kane walked off & Bryan shook his head.

Daniel Bryan vs Ryback: Late in the match Ryback got a table & sat it up in the ring. Ryback powerbombed Bryan through the table. Bryan got the win by DQ. After the match Ryback went to get another table. John Cena came to the ring. Cena with his WWE Title in hand ready to strike, stared at Ryback challenging him to enter the ring. Ryback started to climb through the ropes when Curtis Axel with Paul Heyman came out for his match with Cena.
No DQ Match: John Cena vs Curtis Axel: Ryback interfered in the match & slammed Cena through a table. Axel got the win by count out. Ryback stood over Cena & said “at Payback, Ryback Rules!”
