Luke Harper has been written off TV since Eric Rowan went down with a biceps tear during their SmackDown Tag Team Title defense at Summerslam this past August. They dropped the tag team titles two days later to The New Day on SmackDown Live.

Harper has not appeared on television since, although he lost to North American Champion Ricochet at a few NXT house shows back in September.

Harper appears to have caught the injury bug as well. Last night he appeared at a Brad Williams stand up show with a cast on his left hand, which can be seen below.

Impact Officials Reportedly Looking For New TV Home

Impact Wrestling officials are reportedly looking for a new home on cable TV.

Impact’s current deal with Pop TV expires at the end of this year and officials are reportedly searching for a new potential TV partner in the United States, according to PWInsider. The contract runs through December 31st, potentially leaving the company without a TV home to start the new year.

Impact was recently moved to a later timeslot at 10pm and viewership has suffered. The change was seen as a major step backwards in the Impact – Pop relationship as network officials didn’t inform Impact of the change until several days before the first episode aired with a 10pm start time.

The 10 episodes before the time change drew an average of 215,400 viewers. The two episodes since the time change drew 98,000 viewers and 105,000 viewers, the lowest in company history. The first 10 episodes of 2019 drew an average of 306,900 viewers. It’s worth noting that the final three episodes before the time change drew some of the lowest viewership in show history – 190,000, 183,000 and 189,000 the week before the change. The show averaged 311,000 viewers per episode in 2017, 311,000 viewers in 2016 and 327,000 in 2015. The 2014 average was 1.15 million per episode on Spike and the 2013 average, also on Spike, was 1.26 million per episode.

Joey Ryan Reveals Serious Injury At MLW Chicago TV Tapings (Photo)

Last night in Chicago at MLW: Fusion TV tapings, Joey Ryan revealed that he tore his pec in Austin, TX earlier this week. Ryan joked, “That seems to be going around a bit.”

Joey Ryan was slated to team with Swoggle at last night’s tapings against The Dirty Blondes and did still compete in the match. He did not use his injured left arm, which was in a sling, the entire bout.

Following the bout Ryan removed his sling and showed the crowd his heavily bruised upper left arm. He then confessed that he thinks he is going to need surgery and does not know how long he will be out of action. He thanked the Chicago crowd and said that he was happy that he got to compete there one more time.

Update On Jim Ross’ Status For Wrestle Kingdom 13, Contractual Status With WWE

With New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 coming up in two months’ time, there have been talks about Jim Ross’s status for the show, and if he will be calling the matches for AXS TV. Ross is currently under contract with AXS TV, but also signed a new deal with WWE last year.

On the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some light on Jim’s contractual status with WWE and AXS TV. Dave revealed that Ross’s contract with AXS TV expires on December 31st this year, and that he won’t be calling the pay-per-view for the network in January.

Meltzer also revealed that WWE told Ross he couldn’t announce for the QUINTENT event earlier this year in Las Vegas. Dave noted that Jim’s contract with WWE will run out on March 31st next year, and unless he signs an extension, Ross will be free to work with NJPW from April 1st, 2019.

Stephanie McMahon Says There’s No Reason WWE Can’t Become Bigger Than Disney (Video)

Stephanie McMahon took part in an interview on Tuesday with CNBC’s Elizabeth Schulze at Web Summit in Lisbon and was asked where she sees WWE in the next 10 years.

“10-20-30 years from now, there’s no reason we can’t be as big or bigger than Disney,” the WWE exec replied. “Now that’s a tall order, especially given recent transactions. However, there’s no reason why we can’t get there. You have to dream big, have big, bold goals, and go after them.”

In addition to the Disney talk, the interview also included a fun moment where Stephanie McMahon discussed the importance of empowering your audience to have a voice and how WWE listens to their fans — then noted, “I get railed on Twitter that we don’t listen, but we REALLY are!”
