LOS ANGELES, CA – SEPTEMBER 19, 2017– E! and WWE®’s “Total Divas®” returns for its fiery and fierce seventh season beginning Wednesday, November 1 at 9 pm ET/PT. Brie Bella®, Nikki Bella®, Naomi (Trinity), Natalya (Nattie), Lana and Maryse will join newcomers Carmella, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. This season, the cast travels around the world as they embark on new journeys, cross new thresholds and make difficult decisions about their futures in and out of the ring. Naomi is hoping to hit the trifecta effect; keeping her marriage fresh to fellow WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso™, maintaining a crazy schedule and taking a chance to stand out as the SmackDown® Live Women’s Champion.

Veteran cast member Natalya challenges Naomi’s title reign in a heated rivalry for the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship, all culminating in a showdown at SummerSlam®, season seven’s most anticipated event. With the stakes higher than ever, the women must put on the best match of their lives.

Meanwhile, The Bella Twins catch a case of “FOMO” during their time off from WWE. Together, they explore new ventures and contemplate when the best time would be to make their in-ring comeback. Off the heels of her whirlwind engagement to WWE Superstar John Cena®, Nikki Bella gets ready to twist and twirl when she receives an offer from Dancing with the Stars that is hard to refuse. While Nikki is celebrating her long-awaited engagement in Cabo San Lucas, her sister Brie Bella is working on balancing the demands of being a new mom to her baby girl Birdie and managing her and Nikki’s burgeoning businesses. To spend more time twinning, the ladies plan a road trip and head to San Diego for the summer with Brie’s husband, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan® in tow.

It’s Vegas or bust when Maryse’s husband Mike “The Miz®” Mizanin refuses to leave Los Angeles after their second home burglary. With Maryse ready to head to Sin City, the two must decide where they will call home.

Lana struggles to prioritize her life as a newlywed and her new role on SmackDown Live. When her husband, WWE Superstar Rusev® reveals he wants a baby, she is torn between living her dream in the ring or starting a family sooner than later.

New cast member Carmella, thinks she hit the jackpot with her boyfriend WWE Superstar Big Cass™ who she believes is “the one.” However, with each of them planning on moving to opposite sides of the country, the future of their relationship depends on compromising on a new place to call home.

Nia Jax, cousin of Dwayne “The Rock®” Johnson, is part of a coveted WWE legacy. Despite her famous linage, the dating world isn’t working out the way Nia hoped it would. The women help her explore who she is and what she wants in a partner.

With the growing rise of her career, Alexa Bliss is enjoying the fruits of her labor. But when her fiancé, NXT Superstar Buddy Murphy™ visits during the biggest match of season seven, she is forced to confront her uncertainty about marrying him.

Paige Training For Her Ring Return At WWE Performance Center

Paige was back at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando yesterday to work towards getting cleared for her WWE ring return. She’s been out of action since the summer of 2016 after having neck surgery. WWE posted the following on the former Women’s Champion visiting the Performance Center today, quoting a post she made to Instagram:

Paige returns to the WWE Performance CenterPaige is on a journey to reclaim her “house.”

The former Divas Champion — unseen in a WWE ring for more than a year — revealed she has returned to the WWE Performance Center, presumably beginning her return to active competition in WWE.

“Went to see an old friend today,” she wrote. “Good to be back there! @wwe #RoadBackToMyHouse”

Paige is a two-time Divas Champion and became the youngest Superstar to hold the title when she captured it during her Raw debut at the age of 21. Last night on WWE RAW, Bayley made a surprise return.

Jim Cornette Done With GFW, Backstage News On Why He Was Brought Back And His Departure

As noted, Impact Wrestling announced today that the November 5th Bound For Glory pay-per-view will take place from the Aberdeen Pavilion in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. There will also be TV tapings at the same venue from November 6th through the 10th.

Jim Cornette will not be working Bound For Glory or the TV tapings as he’s now done with the company, according to F4Wonline.com. Cornette has not been to Canada since before 2010 after being turned away at the border due to his record that has arrests from years ago. Cornette says there’s no heat over his departure and that it’s just a matter of circumstances.

Cornette noted to F4Wonline.com that he came to the company after Jeff Jarrett called him in August, to work just one set of TV to help further a few storylines – stripping Alberto El Patron of the World Heavyweight Title, the on-screen firing of Bruce Prichard to set up his return as a heel manager and to try and get Anthem over as babyfaces to wrestling fans. Cornette worked that first set of tapings and then agreed with Jarrett that he would come back to work Bound For Glory, then the November TV tapings.

It was also noted that with Jarrett gone, the current creative team is focusing more on in-ring action and less on authority figure storylines. Sonjay Dutt and Scott D’Amore are currently leading the writing team.

Cornette’s status with the company was up in the air due to Jarrett’s indefinite leave of absence and he had not heard from anyone except Bob Ryder, who told him not to believe what he read online. Cornette also spoke to Dutch Mantell, explaining that he would ont be able to appear at the pay-per-view or the tapings since they were being held in Canada. Cornette agreed to come to Nashville and do whatever he needed to do on camera for his storyline exit but as of now, there are no plans for him.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, during Thanksgiving weekend, Starrcade returns when the Superstars of SmackDown LIVE descend on Greensboro, N.C., for a historic event at the Greensboro Coliseum.

The premier event of the National Wrestling Alliance and, later, WCW, Starrcade got its start in Greensboro on Thanksgiving 1983 with a star-studded lineup that saw Ric Flair defeat Harley Race to win his second of 16 World Championships. Starrcade remained in Greensboro through 1986 and was the stage on which legendary performers like Dusty Rhodes, The Four Horsemen, Magnum TA, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and many more etched their names into sports-entertainment history.

As the calendar turned to the 1990s, a new generation of competitors emerged to take the Starrcade spotlight, like Sting, Vader and the nWo. The last edition of Starrcade under the WCW banner took place in December 2000.

Former GFW Star Davey Richards Injured, Knee Surgery Required

davey richards injured knee surgery

Independent wrestler Davey Richards says he’s been forced to cancel the rest of his bookings in 2017 due to a knee injury that will require surgery.

Richards tweeted a statement on Sunday which said, “I can’t apologize enough to everyone but I have to cancel my remaining bookings for 2017. I am going to need surgery on Right knee.”

The wrestler continued: “I’ve always been someone who has bore my heart inside of the ring & “kept it real” with the fans. I’ve been known to as you call it “no show” events. Truth is ( no excuse) I’ve been battling knee issues since 2006 when I tore my knee the night before my first ROH match. Cortisone shots, Anti inflammatory drugs, Stem Cell therapy, hyperbaric chambers, etc have kept me able to perform this long but not anymore.”

For those who don’t recall, Davey underwent surgery last year for his other knee as well.

Richards concluded by writing: “I refuse to let it end like this. I’m going to take the proper time off to get the correct surgery and rehab. I hope to return to make good on the events I haven’t been able to perform at bc of my knee. I always prided myself on being a wrestlers wrestler and if I couldn’t give You 100% I didn’t want to waste your time. Perhaps foolish pride. But that’s me.”
