Matt Hardy Teases Major New Media Rights Deal On The Horizon For TNA

TNA Wrestling could be heading toward one of its biggest business moves in years, according to none other than Matt Hardy.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran star opened up about what fans can expect from a “Broken Rules Match,” describing it as a chaotic, anything-goes environment where “the standard rules in a pro wrestling match are broken.” Hardy said the concept lets the action spill anywhere in the arena — a true showcase of the unpredictable, high-energy style he’s become known for.

But Hardy’s biggest revelation came when he shifted gears to talk about TNA’s future behind the scenes. The former World Champion hinted that a new media rights deal could be finalized and announced before the end of the year, potentially changing the company’s exposure in a major way.

“I think some very exciting things are on the horizon,” Hardy said. “From what I’m hearing, by the end of this year, maybe the start of next, there’s going to be a new media rights deal announced. It’s going to be huge for TNA.”

Hardy added that the company has seen real growth recently — from attendance and ticket sales to pay-per-view buy rates — and credited the locker room’s hard work for that momentum.

TNA currently airs weekly programming, it’s flagship show IMPACT currently airs on AXS TV. TNA has been rebuilding its brand over the past year with a mix of established veterans and rising stars. If Hardy’s comments prove true, a new broadcast deal could give the promotion the platform it needs to reach a larger audience and continue that upward trend heading into 2026.
