Mr. Anderson Makes TNA Return After Nearly a Decade

It’s been nine long years since fans last saw Ken Anderson inside a TNA ring, but the former two-time World Champion finally made his return this week—and it didn’t exactly go as planned.

Anderson appeared as a guest on Frankie Kazarian’s in-ring talk segment in Minneapolis, with friends and family in attendance for the homecoming. What started as a respectful sit-down quickly turned into a verbal sparring match.

Kazarian, who has recently set his sights on Steve Maclin’s TNA International Championship, used the opportunity to bring up Maclin’s military background. With Anderson having served in the U.S. Army Reserve, Kaz sought his opinion—though his questioning quickly veered into insults. Kazarian belittled Anderson’s service, even questioning his character, before taking personal shots about his family.

The verbal jabs were too much for Anderson, who finally stood up for himself by grabbing Kaz’s wrist to shut him down. But before the confrontation could escalate further, Jake Something blindsided Anderson. The ambush revealed Kazarian had recruited Jake as his latest protégé after tensions between the two men seemed to flare just last week.

Luckily for Anderson, Steve Maclin hit the ring to even the odds and chase off Kaz and Jake.

Now, the stage is set: Anderson will officially return to action next week, teaming with Maclin against Kazarian and Jake Something in tag team action.

Nine years away, and Mr. Anderson is already back in the thick of TNA drama—exactly where fans expected him to be.
