AAA Legally Threatens Company For Booking Pentagon Jr. And Fenix … Indie Fed Fights Back

Lawyers for AAA threatened to sue a company who booked Pentagon Jr. and Fenix on an upcoming show … but the fed isn’t run by dummies, and they fought back with a legal letter.

Lucha Libre FMV — the joint company run by AAA and Lucha Underground — sent a message through lawyers to PCW in Los Angeles earlier this month which states they are “the legitimate owner of the intellectual property related to the name, characteristics, characters and designs of ‘FENIX’, ‘REY FENIX’, ‘PENTAGON Jr.’ and ‘PENTA 0M’, among other trademarks.”

As we previously reported, LL FMV filed for a trademark on Pentagon’s new name one-week after he announced it at a Crash show in Tijuana.

The letter continues, “At the light of the above, we are sending you this communication requesting you to cease and refrain from the unauthorized and misuse of the intellectual property.” Adding, “And also please avoid to hire any person that uses such intellectual property or any other confusingly similar” … otherwise they may exercise legal action.

PCW, however, didn’t take kindly to what seems to be a pretty petty move on FMV’s part.

They fired back with a letter this week that says, “While we thank you for your concern with making sure that we are not going to use the names of performers or characters legally owned by your client, we can assure you that we are only promoting performers by names that either the performers control themselves or which no entity controls as of this date.”

The company goes on to point out that Rey Fenix filed his trademark for the name last year, long before FMV, and they have reason to believe it will get approved. As for Pentagon, they’re confident the company’s trademark attempt will be denied after he fights it in court.

PCW also mentions promotional materials don’t refer to either wrestler as Fenix or Pentagon Jr.

Kelly Kelly Confirms She’ll Be At WWE Hall Of Fame And WrestleMania, Wants To Make A Short Return

Former WWE star Kelly Kelly has confirmed that she’ll be at WrestleMania 33, as well as the Hall of Fame ceremony this year — and she also wants to make a short return to the company.

Kelly — aka Barbie Blank — appeared on Sirius XM’s show Conversation with Maria Menounos and was asked about all the rumors that have popped up since she was backstage at Raw.

“I don’t know if I’m gonna be wrestling, per se, but I will be at Mania.” Adding, “I will be at Mania, I will be at Hall of Fame and I’m gonna do some Axxess signings.”

The ex-Divas champ tip-toed around saying she’d be inducting a friend into the HOF, but Maria hinted that she already knew because she’s helping that women prepare her style for the event.

Barbie also says she was repeatedly asked about her interest in a return last week — admitting Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano was one of the people asking — and she told them, “I would come back for like a run, ya’know, a mini-run or something.”

Finn Balor Returns To Action At NXT Show, Still Not Yet Cleared, Scheduled For Evaluation Next Month

Former NXT and WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor got physical with two of NXT’s top competitors Wednesday night … however, the wrestler claims doctors have yet to give him the green light for Raw.

WWE released video of Balor coming to the aid of Shinsuke Nakamura at the University of Central Florida during Wednesday night’s NXT TV taping and it looks like he’s back to 100%.

Finn easily clotheslined AndradeCienAlmas over the top rope, then hit Bobby Roode with a kick to the gut and Sling Blade.

The company reports that even though he looks ready for action, Balor told the live crowd that he still hasn’t been medically cleared to compete by WWE doctors.

Finn Balor may have gotten physical at an NXT event Wednesday night, but he isn’t lying about his medical situation — sources say he truly hasn’t been cleared yet.

even though Finn’s been working in the squared circle again and feels back to normal, the wrestler still has one more medical evaluation scheduled for the beginning of March.

Just to clear up any confusion, Finn Balor is still scheduled to be a part of WWE’s main roster following last night’s WWE NXT appearance after the University of Central Florida tapings. Balor is being advertised for RAW live events in March. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Balor has always been scheduled for WrestleMania 33 but there’s no word yet on what his role will be. Balor has been out of action since SummerSlam 2016.

First Look At Paige’s Character In ‘Fighting With My Family’ … Plus Wrestler Playing AJ Lee

Wrestling fans, behold … your first look at the character of Paige in the highly publicized movie being made about her family — as well as a shot of the wrestler playing AJ Lee.

Fans in attendance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles were given a special treat after the show ended tonight, a re-creation of Paige’s debut against AJ Lee for the end of Fighting With My Family.

Following some banter with The Rock — which included him calling CM Punk on the phone — the big match was filmed and Thea Trinidad made her entrance as AJ. Despite the wardrobe confusion though, Trinidad’s voice was almost identical to AJ’s.

Paige — played by Florence Pugh — eventually made her entrance and the two filmed various spots. Once that was complete, her stand-in Tessa Blanchard filmed a more wrestling heavy version.

Pugh also filmed a promo that ended with her Paige’s famous “This is My House” catchphrase.

The Rock Leaves Voicemail For CM Punk To Please Audience After Raw Ends (VIDEO)

rock cm punk call voicemail after raw video

It’s been a long time, but chants for CM Punk ended in a good moment tonight after Raw in Los Angeles — because they caused The Rock to call him on the phone in the center of the ring.

Dwayne Johnson appeared in front of the live crowd after the show to direct them on which reaction shots were needed for the movie they were filming.

It was first reported last week that a scene for the upcoming flick about Paige’s life Fighting With My Family would be filmed at the Staples Center. When the scene was revealed to be Paige’s debut in WWE and Dwayne mentioned the name AJ Lee, a loud CM Punk chant broke out.

And The Rock, being a man of the people, obliged by saying he’d give him a ring.

Punk didn’t answer, so the entire Staples Center left him a voicemail, and Punk responded on Twitter shortly after the show by saying, “Thanks Los Angeles. Nice to hear from you.”
