NWA President Reportedly Meets With Spike TV Officials

Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that NWA President Bruce Tharpe, who also works a heel manager in New Japan Pro Wrestling, recently meet with Spike TV officials in New York City about trying to get one of the world’s oldest pro wrestling brands on the network.

Spike TV officials have stated that there is some interest in bringing back pro wrestling to the network but nothing is on the table right now, for any wrestling promotion.

Spike TV is trying to run shows that have more appeal to woman than pro wrestling does. Tharpe is looking at other options to bring NWA to TV.

Update on TNA’s Destination America Status

According to PWInsider, Destination America sources report that their internal schedule has been finalized through the week of October 22nd and TNA’s Impact Wrestling is scheduled to air every Wednesday at 9pm ET. It does appear that an agreement was made between the two sides to go past the initial 29 episodes.

Dixie Carter told Sports Illustrated a few weeks ago that Impact will be on Destination America until February 2016. No word yet on what they are planning then.

WWE Star Suspended For Violation Of Wellness Policy

WWE has announced that they have suspended Hornswoggle for 30 days, effective immediately, for his first violation of WWE’s Talent Wellness Program.

WWE’s Statement:

“In accordance with it’s Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) for 30 days, effective immediately, for his first violation of the company’s policy.”

The Rock & Hulk Hogan Cast As Villains In The Expendables 4?

According to several reports, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Hulk Hogan have been cast as villains in Expendables 4.

Hogan already hinted his appearance should the next chapter be officially announced.

“You know, Stallone gave me my first break.” Hogan said. “He has been a great friend for all these years. We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run? Can I still jump? Well not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stuntman to help me out!”

The Rock has expressed his desire to join the cast but not as a team member, instead someone who will make life miserable for Sly’s team.

“I don’t want to be on their team and be buddies with them,” Johnson said. “F*ck that noise. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to ‘send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine.”

Although Sylvester Stallone is having second thoughts on pushing for “The Expendables 4,” the cast members are positive that Sly will indeed make it happen.

Huge Names Set For Upcoming RAW

WWE announced that Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels will be appearing at the October 19th RAW from Dallas.

This is the same night that Brock Lesnar will appear on Austin’s “Stone Cold Podcast.” WWE announced that Lesnar will be live on RAW.
