PWInsider reports that there is a strong feeling within TNA that Impact Wrestling will end up staying with Spike TV, which means TNA would likely have to settle for the lesser pay that Spike wants to pay them.
A Spike TV source confirmed to PWInsider that the 2 sides are still talking and people in TNA note that the 2 sides have never stopped talking and re-signing with Spike has always been a possibility.

Sounds like SpikeTV could have been trying to get bad ratings for impact so they would have to pay less. Nothing more then corporate politics.
