Reby Hardy Says “Decision To Be Made” On Woken Matt’s In-Ring Future (VIDEO)

Reby Hardy revealed husband Matt Hardy’s WWE contract is up in March, and he’ll likely need to decide soon whether to keep wrestling or hang it up.

Hardy spoke with the Busted Open crew over the weekend about her husband’s current status. As you may have noticed, Matt tweeted a photo of himself working backstage at SummerSlam, which you can see above.

Reby called his current status a “transitional” period.

“He’s not really sure what he going to be doing,” she said. “His contract is up in March, which I’m not sure many people are aware of, but there’s sort of a decision to be made at this point as to whether or not he should continue his in-ring career or if he should pursue something different.”

Reby made it clear Matt isn’t upset about the pending transition, saying he’d be “totally up for it.”

“[He] would be excited to do [it], I feel like, so he’s kind of giving it a go right now backstage. He’s at Summerslam. He’s not on the card but he’s there, and we’re kind of going to see from here,” she added. “It’s really a transitional time right now.”

Last week, Hardy tweeted a goodbye message to former tag team partner Bray Wyatt. He’s also been pretty sentimental on social media posting pictures from throughout his career.

Hulk Hogan Says Wrestlers Who Didn’t Accept His Apology Don’t Understand Brotherhood Of Wrestling

hulk hogan interview extreme rules apology brotherhood wrestling

The backstage apology Hulk Hogan gave to the WWE roster was not accepted by everyone, and in a new interview Hulkster says those Superstars don’t understand the brotherhood of wrestling.

Hogan was a guest on the new podcast The Apter Chat with Bill Apter and spoke in-depth about WWE welcoming him back. Hulk says it first began with a text from Triple H checking in on him, as well as subsequent texts every few months making sure he was doing alright.

The former WWF champ says ideas eventually got thrown around for how he could contribute to the company again — Hogan briefly mentions Saudi Arabia without further detail — but ultimately Hulk told Hunter he really wanted to talk with Vince McMahon again.

Vince reached out not long after, according to Hogan, and they caught up like it was old times.

Triple H contacted Hulk again months later and asked if there was anything he’d like to do in wrestling, to which he said yes. Hunter and McMahon then said the first thing they’d like him to do is have a conversation with the black wrestlers about everything that occurred.

“I said no, I’m not gonna do it,” Hogan explained. “If I come back, I want to talk to everybody. Because what I did not only hurt the business, it hurt white, black, every athlete you have. Japanese. Everybody that’s involved and loves this business. What I said hurt this business.”

The 65-year-old went on to detail his conversation with the roster at Extreme Rules, saying he apologized for the terrible words he said 12-years prior. Hogan doesn’t believe, however, that the focus was on wrestlers not getting caught on camera doing bad things — even if it was mentioned.

Hulk explained, “A lot of people accepted my apology. And a lot of people heard what they wanted to hear and a lot of the narrative that came out of the meeting was on point. A lot of the narrative was really different. I was surprised to hear some people interpreted what I said that I was just sorry I got caught on camera, or whatever they interpreted, but I never said that.”

As you may recall, New Day and Titus O’Neil both spoke out after the meeting. O’Neil said the apology lacked remorse and New Day claimed they wouldn’t associate with Hulk until “genuine effort to change is made.”

In the interview, Hogan had something to say about those who didn’t accept his apology.

“I just hope the brotherhood can get back to the way it was,” Hulk remarked. “Outside the ring, you’re supposed to protect your brother. In this case, it’s a situation where 75, 80, 90 percent of the wrestlers are protecting me and they’re giving me another chance to move forward. There’s just a few wrestlers that kinda like don’t understand the bond and the brotherhood of wrestling. If someone makes a mistake, you need to forgive them and move on and try to let them prove themselves.”

Listen to the interview at the link below (WWE return talk begins around 46 minutes into the conversation).

WWE Planning A Big Women’s Match For Survivor Series

Image result for WWE Four Horsewomen vs. MMA Four Horsewomen

It looks like WWE will finally do the Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

WWE’s Horsewomen are Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch while MMA’s Horsewomen are Ronda Rousey, WWE NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. Angles were planned and filmed for the match in 2017 but the match never happened. There’s been recent talk of doing the match and word is that teases are being sent out.

Regarding Duke and Shafir in NXT, both are being praised for their work. Shafir has had just two matches so far and Duke hasn’t wrestled anything but practice matches. Duke was set to make her NXT live event debut along with Shafir at a live event in Largo, FL last month but Duke was pulled from the show due to a minor injury. Duke impressed people with a practice match at the WWE Performance Center and some believe she is a “prodigy” at pro wrestling. There’s also feelings that Rousey is great on the big stage, when the match is completely laid out, and that Baszler is definitely ready. The Observer adds that some people believe Duke will end up being the best of the four.

There’s also potential for a Horsewomen angle at the first-ever all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view a few weeks earlier on October 28 but word is that the actual match will take place at the Survivor Series.

Shayna Baszler recently took some time to discuss her famous stable of friends known as MMA’s Four Horsewomen and the possibility of facing WWE’s incarnation down the line with Inside the Ropes.

Baszler was questioned about the possibility of seeing a match take place between the eight women now under WWE’s banner. She said her Four Horsewomen have never backed down from a fight before while taking a shot about how WWE’s incarnation came second.

“If they want it to happen, the four of us are fighters,” Baszler said. “We’ve never turned down any sort of fight. They want to argue about who is the Four Horsewomen and who owns it. I mean, we had it first and that’s… fact. It was given to us so we didn’t just call ourselves that, it was given to us.

“They started calling themselves — I mean we’re an actual team that trains together. Bayley and Sasha — they’re not even friends half the time right now, so who knows what’s going on with them? You know what I mean? Whatever.

“If they want to, we won’t turn down a fight, ever.”
