Kairi Sane Possibly Suffers Concussion At WWE TLC

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane may have suffered a concussion during Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view.

The TLC main event saw The Kabuki Warriors retain their titles over Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in a brutal women’s TLC match, the first-ever for the tag team titles. The match included several big bumps for all four competitors. Sane was laid out on the outside of the ring for the finish of the match as Asuka retrieved the titles from above the ring. Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com reports that Sane was checked out backstage after the show and the belief is that she suffered a concussion.

The report noted how Sane was not moving well after a certain point in the match, and how she didn’t take a normal bump when Flair hit her with the Spear at ringside, which could be a sign that she was already out on her feet by then. There was also a spot where Sane looked like she was struggling to get up for a powerbomb spot. It was speculated that she may have suffered the injury when she was hit in the head as Flair and was throwing the monitors around at ringside.

It was also noted that an official diagnosis will not be available until Monday afternoon at RAW. WWE has not announced any injuries from TLC and Sane has not commented.

The Fiend is still on the big screen. Wyatt gets up and slowly walks over to Miz, who is still laid out. The lights start going down for The Fiend and Wyatt gets excited, yelling about how “he’s here!” Wyatt turns around to a hooded man in the ring. The man charges and drops Wyatt with a a running knee. Fans chant “Yes!” as the man stands up. He takes the hood off and it’s a mostly clean shaven Daniel Bryan. Fans chant his name. WWE Tribute To The Troops Will Reportedly Not Air On TV This Year

The 17th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops reportedly will not air on TV.

As noted, WWE taped matches and segments with top Superstars and Marines on Friday at the Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This was the first time that the TTTT was taped at a Marine Base.

It was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the 2019 Troops Tribute was not taped for TV and there is no TTTT TV special this year. Dave Meltzer did not know yet why the event is not airing.

WWE’s Tribute to the Troops has been held every year since 2003, and has aired on either UPN, NBC or the USA Network. There’s also on word yet on if the event might air on the WWE Network this year. It’s very interesting that WWE and USA would pass on airing the event as it usually draws more than 1 million viewers on a slow holiday week, which won’t have a new episode of WWE NXT this year, plus it brings the kind of PR that WWE goes for.

Below is TTTT video that aired during Friday night’s SmackDown episode. Below are match results from Friday’s event:

* Humberto Carrillo and Kevin Owens defeated Drew McIntyre and Andrade

* WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane retained over Sarah Logan and Natalya

* The Street Profits defeated Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins

* The OC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) defeated Ricochet and RAW Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders

* Seth Rollins defeated Erick Rowan in a Boot Camp match.

There were also said to be appearances from Braun Strowman and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, among others.

Matt Hardy Says His “Countdown To Arcadia Has Begun” Following Latest WWE RAW Loss

Matt Hardy was back on WWE television tonight for only the second time since April. After losing a fairly quick match to Buddy Murphy on RAW on November 25th, Hardy was defeated in another one-sided match by Drew McIntyre on tonight’s RAW.

Hardy’s WWE contract is reportedly up in late February of 2020. PWInsider recently reported that the biggest point of contention in contract negotiations is how will be used creatively going forward. The two sides are reportedly not that far apart on the final aspects of a new deal.

Following his loss to McIntyre, Hardy took to Twitter and noted that his “countdown to Arcadia has begun.”

“Still in my #RAW slump, I’m sorry. MORE ATONEMENT APPARENTLY,” Hardy tweeted earlier, followed by another post where he wrote, “I know the slump & losses won’t last forever, my countdown to Arcadia has begun. I will show up & do my job. We’ll get past this together.

“I’ve received so much love, support & sympathy tonight from the most vocal audience. Without you, there’s no me. THANK YOU ALL.”

You can check out the tweets below:

Hardy also “liked” several tweets disapproving of the way he’s been used lately, which you can see below:
