WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin has been announced for the September 9 WWE RAW episode from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
This will be the final RAW episode before the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view on September 15.
The announcement was made today by MSG. You can see their promo below.
Austin took to Twitter and commented on his first MSG appearance in almost 20 years.
“I cannot believe it has been so long. Time flies by. The Garden is home to many of my favorite moments in my career. @BretHart in #survivorseries @undertaker in #summerslam #highwaytohell and stunning @VinceMcMahon for the very first time. Along with many others. Hell Yeah!,” Austin wrote.
The dark main event after last night’s WWE 205 Live tapings at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama saw WWE Champion Daniel Bryan retain over AJ Styles by disqualification. Bryan reportedly cut a strong heel promo, which poked fun at Alabama for losing to Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship earlier this month. AJ came back and laid Bryan out, also stopping to celebrate with a young fan in the crowd. AJ then impersonated WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin, switching out the beer cans for water bottles, after hitting a Phenomenal Forearm on Bryan. You can see video from the segment below:
WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin‘s shoulder is on the mend after having surgery earlier this year … but now his elbow has also taken a bit of a bump.
The Texas Rattlesnake tweeted a picture of a very large lump that is protruding from his funny bone with the caption, “The elbow for today’s podcast.”
On this week’s episode of his show, Austin explains that he suffers from a condition called olecranon bursitis — which is the inflammation of the bursa, or thin sac of fluid, that lies between the skin and the bony tip of the elbow.
Stone Cold says he discovered the lump during a workout and asserted that the condition is a common problem for pro wrestlers … adding, “Virtually all the boys who ever come up in the business have that tennis ball elbow as you go through the paces, because it kinda comes with the territory.”
The following was posted on Steve Austin’s official WWE Facebook page over the weekend, which has gotten some people talking. It should be noted that the posts are usually made by someone on the WWE’s social media staff, not by the wrestlers themselves:

John Cena has started using a Springboard Stunner that he first used in his match against Rusev at WrestleMania 31. Steve Austin is known for his Stone Cold Stunner, which led fans to ask how he feels about Cena’s stunner. The following is what Austin said about it on his Steve Austin Show podcast:
“It was brought up to my attention in several e-mails that I got but I never discussed it. … Here’s the thing: People ask me ‘Steve, hey man, what do you think about that?’ First of all, it’s obviously reminiscent of the Stone Cold Stunner but here’s my biggest beef with it: It’s such a dynamic move and it requires such precision and timing, because his foot could slip on that rope, guys are wearing baby oil, they’re sweating, anything could happen, so that move is very precise. But when you hit that move, why don’t you establish it and get a couple of three counts out of it? So then when Rusev kicks out of it, or whoever kicks out of it, if they do, it means something. So they could have had another ace up his sleeve had he actually beaten people with it. … My point is had they looked further down the road than the short term he would have had a real valid great badass finish than just a set up which now means nothing.”
