Former WWE NXT Tag Team Signs With TNA, Other TNA Signing News

Former WWE NXT Superstars Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louis have reportedly signed with TNA, according to PWInsider. They are set to debut on Impact Wrestling in the next several weeks but did not appear in front of the crowd at last week’s tapings.

The former NXT tag team partners were released back in February.

TNA’s Bob Ryder noted on Twitter that the company signed 5 new talents last week. PWInsider has confirmed that one of those talents is Laura “Cherry Bomb” Dennis.

Vince McMahon Not a Fan of NXT?

Apparently Vince McMahon is not a big fan of NXT, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Vince perceives NXT as a touring product filled with so many guys Vince doesn’t believe are money.

NXT talent took notice of how Tyler Breeze was treated after he arrived on the main WWE roster. Some of the locker room was disgruntled over seeing Breeze treated like a “jobber” following all the buildup he received from Breaking Ground.

NXT Head Writer Moved To SmackDown

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that NXT head writer Ryan Ward has left for the main roster and will be writing for SmackDown. Ward has written all of the NXT television shows through NXT Takeover: Dallas.

Official WWE Book To Focus On Rise Of WWE NXT

ECW Press, which often works with WWE on new books, has announced “NXT: The Future Is Now” for an April 2017 release. The book will be written by Jon Robinson and will focus on the creation and rise of the WWE NXT brand.
