Matt Hardy Deletes Bray Wyatt

Last night on WWE RAW we saw the much hyped match at the Hardy Compound, ‘The Ultimate Deletion’ – “Woken” Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt.

This bizarre match ended with Matt Hardy shoving Bray Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation after Hardy defeated Wyatt. Matt told Senor Benjamin to retrieve Wyatt’s carcass from the lake, but Wyatt is not there. Matt declares that The Great War is over and that Bray Wyatt has been deleted. Matt chants “delete!”

Jeff Hardy made an appearance for a few seconds, singing He’s got the whole wide world in His hands.

As noted, The Ultimate Deletion Match between Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy was filmed at The Hardy Compound in Cameron, NC on Thursday, according to PWInsider. It’s possible that the match will air on WWE TV as soon as Monday’s RAW. Referee Shawn Bennett was sent to be the official referee for the match but there’s no word yet on other WWE talents being brought in for filming. Jeremy Borash, who recently signed on with WWE to work developmental, was at the compound working on the production. Borash played a big part in the original “Broken” storyline in TNA and the matches that were filmed at the compound.

WWE Filming Ultimate Deletion Today

According to PWinsider.com, WWE will be filming the Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt Ultimate Deletion match today at the Hardy Compound in Cameron, North Carolina. There is no official word whether Senor Benjamin, Reby Hardy, King Maxel, and other Broken universe characters will be appearing during the filming, but the Ultimate Deletion match would incorporate elements from similar segments filmed in Impact to bridge them over and introduce them to the WWE audience. Jeff Hardy may also appear.

No word yet on when it will air.

Bray Wyatt has accepted Matt Hardy’s challenge for The Ultimate Deletion at The Hardy Compound in North Carolina, as seen in the tweet below. We noted before that the current plan is for the match to air before WrestleMania 34. The Hardy Compound footage used on this week’s RAW in the segment with Matt was filmed last week by Reby Hardy.

On a related note, it looks like all the characters from the original storyline in TNA will be used as Hardy called on Queen Rebecca, Senor Benjamin, Vanguard 1, son King Maxel, younger son Lord Wolfgang and “the dilapidated boat” Skarsgard. Below are recent tweets from Matt and Benjamin:

“Woken” Matt Hardy challenged Bray Wyatt to an Ultimate Deletion match at The Hardy Compound this week on Raw and Vanguard 1 was featured in the segment.

It all went down during a post-match promo when Matt interrupted Bray and said there’s only one battlefield worthy of their next encounter — his home in North Carolina.

Hardy was then seen in front of his house, which was featured in all the Impact Wrestling specials that took place there, as well as his famous dilapidated boat Skårsgard.

Matt Hardy Becomes ‘Woken’ (Video)

Last night on RAW in Los Angeles may have been the first official appearance for “Woken” Matt Hardy, as seen in the video above. Matt went all in with the “Broken” mannerisms while interrupting a backstage Bray Wyatt promo. We’ve noted how Matt began the “Woken” transformation after a singles loss to Bray on last week’s RAW.

Hardy and Wyatt interrupted each other several times during tonight’s promo before Matt ended it by sentencing Wyatt to “Deletion!” The two have since tweeted about The Great War, indicating that the feud is moving forward.

News On When Roman Reigns And Bray Wyatt Will Be Re-evaluated

As the WWE tries to recover from a tumultuous few days that saw multiple superstars get sick from a viral infection, many are wondering what the timetable is for a return to normalcy.

On Friday, WrestlingInc.com owner Raj Giri broke the news that the WWE was testing RAW superstars for the mumps. Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas were among those infected, and Reigns and Wyatt were removed from TLC due to the illness, causing major changes to Sunday’s pay-per-view. In a response to our report, the WWE released a statement confirming that three superstars were diagnosed with a viral infection. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer offered an update for when those superstars could possibly return to action.

Meltzer noted that Reigns has the mumps and said he and the other infected superstars will be re-evaluated next week on Monday. The rest of the locker room got their shots on Thursday to prevent further spreading of the infection, but Meltzer said there is still a fear within the company that more superstars could contract the illness.

WWE had initially tested some talent for viral meningitis, and discovered that the illness is believed to be the mumps. Mumps symptoms usually take 16-18 days to appear and then the infection usually takes several days to a week to disappear. It is unclear how much time is needed to completely recover from an illness like that in order to be deemed fit to compete in the ring. It is also unknown if any SmackDown superstars were tested for the infection or if the virus was solely spread in the RAW locker room.

At TLC on Sunday, Kurt Angle replaced Reigns in the main event and teamed with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to defeat the team of Braun Strowman, The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro, and Kane in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. AJ Styles replaced Wyatt in a match against “The Demon” Finn Balor, in what was an instant fan favorite won by Balor.

Details On Creative Plans For “Sister Abigail” Debut

If you were confused by Bray Wyatt‘s Sister Abigail promo during Raw this week, we’ve got the explanation you’re looking for below … but warning, spoilers lie ahead.

Sources with direct knowledge tell Pro Wrestling Sheet the current plan is for Wyatt to wrestle at TLC using the name “Sister Abigail” — similar to how Finn Balor becomes The Demon — and he’d wear a different outfit.

From what we’re being told, WWE is NOT planning to introduce a female character with the name.

For those who missed it, Wyatt transformed into a scarecrow-like character last night during a backstage promo directed at Balor and a female voice could be heard laughing alongside his.

No word on whether the match will have any sort of additional gimmick attached.

Bray Wyatt’s Wife Files For Divorce, Lawyer Claims He’s Been Cheating With WWE Ring Announcer JoJo

Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed Bray Wyatt‘s wife recently filed for divorce … and even though her lawyer claims he was cheating with JoJo, the wrestler says his ex just wants to defame him.

According to court documents obtained by The Sheet, Samantha Rotunda filed for dissolution of marriage back in April and said their relationship was irretrievably broken.

The Daily Mail first reported that she wants their marital home, child support and alimony.

Bray Wyatt then filed legal docs claiming his ex-wife had been making defamatory statements about him to people in the community “in an effort to ruin his reputation.” He also claimed that she had been posting lies on social media to damage his business ventures in the entertainment industry.

Because of this, he’s asking the court for an injunction to keep her quiet.

Samantha is fighting that though. Her response states: “Ms. Rotunda will not only prove Husband’s misrepresentations and lies, but prove that Husband’s allegation and claims are nothing more than a media ploy and endeavor to create an offense to defend his adultery and misdeeds.”

“Husband is responsible for his own poor choices; Husband is responsible for their consequences.”

Rotunda’s lawyer Ray Rafool — who also represented the ex-wives of Hulk Hogan, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio — told the Daily Mail that WWE ring announcer JoJo is the woman Wyatt has allegedly been cheating with. Her name isn’t mentioned in the documents though.

Sources tell Pro Wrestling Sheet that Samantha didn’t initially plan to mention the adultery in court documents to keep the split as positive as possible for their kids, but that all changed once Bray attempted to tarnish her name in his response — causing his college sweetheart to enter her misdeed claims into court.
