Ric Flair Claims Big Spots Were Pulled From Women’s HIAC, One “Involved A Moonsault” (AUDIO)

Hell in a Cell is known for it’s death-defying moments … but Ric Flair claims that two big spots were pulled from the first women’s HIAC match this weekend due to WWE officials fearing the outcome.

Flair talked about the match on Busted Open Radio today saying, “They took two huge spots out of the match, during the match, because they were afraid Sasha Banks was going to get hurt.”

He continued saying, “If the original plan had been, there were two things and I don’t want to say what they were, but you can only imagine. One of them involved a moonsault.”

Flair recently hinted that Charlotte wanted to do a moonsault off the top of the cell — so it’s hard not to speculate that he’s talking about that.

Did the women’s match meet your expectations for Hell in a Cell? What are your thoughts on women closing a PPV of that nature? Let us know in the comment below.

Undertaker Returning This Month For 900th Episode Of SmackDown

It’s been over six months since The Undertaker set foot in a WWE ring, but now we can all rest in peace … because The Deadman will return this month for the 900th episode of SmackDown.

The Mohegan Sun Arena announced his return on Twitter today saying, “BREAKING NEWS! The Undertaker returns to Wilkes-Barre on 11.15 for the 900th episode of SmackDown Live.”

As you probably remember, Taker last appeared for WWE when he wrestled Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 32. We can only hope that his upcoming return will lead to another match at WrestleMania 33.

Despite recently walking around on crutches, they were nowhere in sight when he attended a Cavaliers game last week … therefore it’s unclear if he’ll be wrestling anytime soon.

Austin Aries’ Eye Injury Worse Than Initially Expected, Surgery Scheduled

austin aries eye injury update wrestling wrestler nxt

Doctors have determined that the eye injury Austin Aries suffered last week was worse than they initially thought, and now he’s set to go under the knife to fix the problem.

Our sources tell us that even though it didn’t seem to be serious the following day, doctors took a look at the CT scan a few days later and realized surgery would be necessary.

PWInsider first reported yesterday that Aries suffered a large orbital fracture and will be out of action until early 2017. As we previously reported, AA was hit with a superkick gone wrong by Shinsuke Nakamura at an NXT live event and the match had to be stopped early.

We’re told his surgery is scheduled for Thursday, but he’s currently feeling much better.

AJ Styles Locked Out Of Car After SmackDown Live, Saved By Fire Department (VIDEO)

The WWE World Champion AJ Styles was faced with one of his toughest challenges yet Tuesday night after Smackdown Live … being locked out of his rental car — and Pro Wrestling Sheet got footage of the fire department making a run in to save the day.

It all went down outside of the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey when Styles realized his keys were stuck in the car as he attempted to leave the arena.

Much to his dismay, the champ was surrounded by around 50 fans as he made unsuccessful attempts to get back into the car himself using a coat hanger.

Luckily — after struggling for close to an hour — the Newark Fire Department showed up with a slim jim and helped the Phenomenal One get back into his ride. We’re told fans watching were jokingly asking AJ if this was the setup for an episode of Swerved.

It clearly wasn’t though, since his keys ended up being in the trunk.

Best part of the video is Styles taking a picture with the guy who unlocks his ride.
