Jazmyn Nyx Reportedly Finishing Up With WWE

Another NXT name looks to be wrapping up their time with WWE.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Jazmyn Nyx has decided not to renew her deal with the company. WWE did extend her a contract offer, but Nyx turned it down and will officially become a free agent once her current deal runs out.

The writing was already on the wall on this week’s episode of NXT. In a backstage segment, Nyx was shown laid out and unconscious. Her on-screen ally Jacy Jayne coldly declared it was time to move on from Nyx in Fatal Influence, delivering the line, “only the strong survive.” That moment now looks to be WWE’s storyline way of writing her out.

Nyx’s final in-ring appearance came during last week’s NXT Homecoming special, where she teamed with Jayne and Fallon Henley in a losing effort against Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria, and CMLL’s Stephanie Vaquer.

For those unfamiliar, Nyx — real name Jade Gentile — signed with WWE in November 2022 and has been part of the developmental system for nearly two years.

With her WWE chapter coming to a close, Nyx will soon have the freedom to explore opportunities in other promotions. Given her young career and the visibility she’s gained through NXT, it’ll be interesting to see where she lands next.

TNA Invasion Of WWE NXT Reportedly In The Works

The lines between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling continue to blur, and things may be about to explode.

On this week’s special NXT: Homecoming episode, several TNA stars took to social media during the broadcast, voicing frustration over how the company was being portrayed. Their reactions didn’t go unnoticed — commentary duo Vic Joseph and Booker T even referenced the posts throughout the night, fanning the flames of what looks to be a brewing cross-promotional conflict.

That tension is expected to carry over into next week’s show in a big way. In what could be one of the most talked-about matches of the year, NXT Champion Oba Femi is set to clash with TNA Champion Trick Williams in a rare Title vs. Title encounter.

While details of how deep this “invasion” storyline will run are still under wraps, the fact that TNA talent are being worked into WWE programming at this level is already turning heads across the industry. Fans have been clamoring for interpromotional rivalries for years, and this could be the biggest crossover WWE has embraced since its collaborations with ECW in the late ‘90s.

If the momentum continues, we could be on the verge of a full-fledged TNA presence inside NXT — and that opens the door to dream matches, shocking run-ins, and a rivalry unlike anything we’ve seen in recent WWE history.

Santino Marella voiced his frustration, writing,

“This is getting to be too much, honestly, I’m very close to … whatever, I’m just saying it’s getting to be too much.”

Mike Santana posted an emotional response, saying,

“After the week I’ve just had. To be honest, I JUST DGAF! I don’t care who shows up to #TNABoundForGlory as champion…just make sure you’re ready. All my pain becomes purpose. I don’t plan on my daughter leaving the arena heartbroken again… You’re ALL fcked. Also.To keep it real with everyone… I’m pretty sick and tired of all the “WWE/NXT has control over TNA and can do what they want”, bullshit. Think it’s about time we put it to rest and do something about…Santana will challenge for the TNA Title at TNA Bound For Glory.”

Former WWE Superstar Cedric Alexander added, “I came to @ThisIsTNA for new opportunities and to reinvent myself. I refuse to sit around and have @WWENXT talent take those opportunities! It’s time for a change!!”

Mustafa Ali echoed the sentiment, warning, “NXT celebrates its past but disrespects TNA’s future. Many will talk about it. A few will do something about it. Consider this a warning @ShawnMichaels.”

The IInspiration (formerly The IIconics in WWE), Peyton Royce and Jessica McKay, chimed in as well:

“Sick to death of @NXT running roughshod over @TNA like there are no consequences. You’re playing with fire @ShawnMichaels.”

“Wowwww, @WWENXT really thinking they can do whatever they want with @ThisIsTNA… you gotta be joking me!! #NXTHomecoming”

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin (formerly Steve Cutler) issued a direct threat, writing,

“I’m not here for nostalgia. I’m fed up. NXT remembers me. I don’t FORGET. Lines keep getting crossed and now, you’ll answer to me. #HoldTheLine”

Even Moose, who has appeared on NXT before, questioned the legality of the upcoming match. He wrote,

“Title vs Title….. Winner takes all… is that even possible @milanmiracle??? Doesn’t @carlossilva have to approve this decision? This is very frustrating. Will be watching this match very closely. I have unfinished business with both Oba and Trick @WWENXT #NXTHomecoming”

Tyler Breeze Stuns NXT Crowd With Surprise Return Ahead Of Homecoming Title Match

WWE is pulling out all the stops for next week’s NXT Homecoming at Full Sail University, and the brand just got a huge blast from the past. Former NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze made a shocking return on Tuesday night’s episode of NXT, setting himself up for a high-stakes championship opportunity.

The surprise came right after a unique Flag Match between Tavion Heights and Ethan Page. Heights managed to grab his United States flag before Page could reclaim his Canadian banner, earning the win and draping the maple leaf over a fallen Page for added insult. While Heights celebrated with Old Glory from the stage, the Full Sail faithful erupted as Breeze emerged from the crowd, selfie stick in hand, for the first time in years.

In true “Prince Pretty” fashion, Breeze struck a pose in the middle of the ring, snapping a trademark selfie with Page still sprawled out behind him. Moments later, WWE confirmed that the return wasn’t just for nostalgia—Breeze will challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Homecoming on September 16.

This marks Breeze’s first in-ring appearance for NXT since June 2021, when he and longtime partner Fandango defeated Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Both men were released shortly after, with Breeze shifting into work on WWE’s UpUpDownDown channel before officially joining NXT’s creative team earlier this year.

Ethan Page, meanwhile, has been carving out an impressive run since capturing the North American Title in May, already turning back challenges from Sean Legacy, Santino Marella, and Ricky Saints. But now he faces a whole new kind of test—a returning NXT original with nothing to lose and everything to prove.

With NXT Homecoming designed to spotlight the past colliding with the present, Tyler Breeze’s comeback couldn’t be timed any better. The only question is whether “Prince Pretty” still has enough in the tank to walk out of Full Sail with championship gold.

#DIY Make Shocking NXT Return, Celebrate 10 Years With WWE

The black-and-gold brand got a huge blast of nostalgia this week as #DIY — the beloved duo of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa — made a surprise return to NXT. The reunion wasn’t just a homecoming, though. It turned into a heated confrontation with none other than TNA World Champion Trick Williams.

Williams, who’s now held the TNA World Title for over 100 days, has been boasting nonstop about being the top star to ever set foot in NXT. Even after coming up short in a recent bid to earn a shot at Je’Von Evans’ NXT Championship, he continued to hype himself as “untouchable” in the brand’s history. During this week’s promo, he even admitted that he didn’t care much about NXT anymore, claiming he’ll have the same mindset once he gets to the main roster.

That’s when the music hit — and out came Gargano and Ciampa to mark their 10-year anniversary with WWE. The two reminded Williams of their own championship accolades, stacking up their resumes against his. Ciampa, a two-time NXT Champion, and Gargano, a record-setting three-time North American Champion, made it clear that Williams still has plenty to prove before he can lay claim to being the best NXT has ever seen.

The war of words quickly broke down into action, and fans got the payoff they were waiting for. #DIY stood tall to close the segment, dropping the TNA World Champion with their signature tandem superkick.

With #DIY back in the mix — at least for now — and Trick Williams continuing to stir the pot, NXT could be on the verge of one of its most intriguing cross-promotional feuds in years.

WWE (NXT) Heatwave 8/24/2025 (Results), Speed Titles Coming to NXT

New Champions Crowned, Title Matches Set, and Oba Femi Survives a War

NXT Heatwave 2025 delivered a night of surprises, hard-hitting action, and championship shakeups. From the women’s division to the tag team ranks, the card kept fans in Lowell, Massachusetts on their feet all evening. Here’s how it all went down:

Lola Vice Earns NXT Women’s Title Shot

The show opened with a fast-paced triple threat as Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice battled for the No. 1 contender spot.

Parker started hot, overwhelming both opponents until Jordan and Vice briefly joined forces to cut her down. Alliances quickly broke apart as all three women traded momentum in and out of the ring, including Jordan hitting a wild corkscrew splash to the floor and Parker nearly sealing the win with a spinebuster.

The finish came after a chaotic closing stretch that included a “tower of doom” and multiple near falls. Parker connected with her Hipnotic on Jordan, but Vice was waiting with a quick roll-up to steal the pin and the victory.

👉 Winner: Lola Vice (becomes No. 1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship)

DarkState Captures the NXT Tag Team Titles

The dominant reign of Hank & Tank came to a shocking end thanks to the chaos of DarkState. Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin did the heavy lifting, but interference from Cutler James and Saquon Shugars proved to be the difference.

Despite the champions’ spirited comeback — including Tank hitting a Swanton Bomb on both challengers — the numbers game was too much. DarkState capitalized on a distracted referee and put Hank away with a devastating Doomsday Device.

👉 Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: DarkState

Ash by Elegance Becomes TNA Knockouts World Champion

With TNA President Carlos Silva watching from ringside, the Knockouts World Championship returned in a high-stakes triple threat between Jacy Jayne, Masha Slamovich, and Ash by Elegance.

The match was filled with interference and close calls, as Jayne had Fatal Influence in her corner and Ash leaned on her Elegance Brand entourage. Despite heavy strikes from Masha and big dives from both challengers, the end came when Jayne’s allies were ejected from ringside. That left the door open for Ash, who capitalized by pinning Slamovich after hitting her Swanton Bomb.

Blake Monroe Stuns Jordynne Grace

Former friends turned bitter rivals clashed as Jordynne Grace battled Blake Monroe in a physical showdown. Grace controlled much of the match with her signature power moves, but Monroe zeroed in on her arm and used every dirty trick possible, including exposing a turnbuckle.

After surviving a top-rope powerbomb, Monroe turned the tide by sending Grace face-first into the exposed steel before drilling her with a Double Arm DDT for the upset win.

👉 Winner: Blake Monroe

Chelsea Green & Ethan Page Score Mixed Tag Win

Lowell fans were firmly behind Chelsea Green, loudly chanting her name throughout her mixed tag with Ethan Page against Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele.

The match broke down into chaos with Alba Fyre and the Elegance Brand getting involved, but Green had the final word. After a flurry of suplexes and a near victory for Steele, Green hit the Un-Pretty-Her to secure the win for her team.

👉 Winners: Chelsea Green & Ethan Page

Big Announcement: Speed Titles Coming to NXT

General Manager Ava revealed that both Men’s and Women’s Speed Championships are officially coming to NXT. Sol Ruca will defend her Women’s Speed Title at No Mercy against the winner of a new tournament.

Oba Femi Survives Je’Von Evans in Championship Epic

The main event saw Oba Femi defend the NXT Championship against Je’Von Evans in a match that had the crowd split and chanting “This is Awesome” before it was over.

Evans used his speed and high-flying arsenal to keep the champion off balance, but Oba’s size and strength proved overwhelming. A referee bump added controversy when Evans appeared to have the match won after hitting multiple cutters, but the original official waved it off after spotting Oba’s foot under the rope.

The end came in brutal fashion: Oba launched Evans through the announce table before finishing him with the Fall From Grace inside the ring.

👉 Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Oba Femi

After the bell, Ricky Saints confronted the champion, setting the stage for a new rivalry as Heatwave went off the air.

🔥 Takeaway: NXT Heatwave shook up the landscape with Lola Vice earning her first shot at the women’s crown, DarkState rising as tag team champs, and Ash by Elegance bringing the TNA Knockouts World Championship back to TNA. Meanwhile, Oba Femi proved once again why he is the most dominant force in NXT, though Ricky Saints is waiting in the wings.
