The TNA exodus to NXT continues — Eric Young just surprised Full Sail by appearing at tonight’s TV taping and made an impact (pun intended) by confronting the company’s champion.
Sources in attendance say Samoa Joe stood in the ring gloating about his big NXT Title win over Finn Balor, when music for Young suddenly hit and he received a HUGE ovation walking to the ring.
The wrestlers exchanged words, but Joe walked off before coming to blows.
The two eventually faced off later in the night though and the champ won their match.
No word on what kind of deal E.Y. has signed with the company at this point — but the TNA revival in NXT is now going strong with Joe, Young, Austin Aries and possibly Bobby Roode.
WWE posted the following on EY’s debut:
Eric Young arrives in NXT ORLANDO, Fla. — NXT is quickly becoming the place to be for the hottest free agents in sports-entertainment. That was proven once again on Thursday night, when Eric Young made his surprise debut at NXT’s WWE Network taping.
Young, an 18-year veteran of the mat game and former heavyweight champion, shocked the Full Sail University crowd when he entered the arena, which will air on NXT in the coming weeks, only on WWE Network.
Young’s arrival is the latest in a line of big-name free agents hoping to ply their craft in NXT, going to show that you never know who will appear next between the yellow ropes.

Rookie Rachael Ellering, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, made her WWE NXT debut at tonight’s tapings from Full Sail University. She will face Alexa Bliss on the May 11th episode. Below is a photo of Ellering, who trained under Lance Storm: Currently, she has been wrestling with I Believe in Wrestling and other companies associated with the Team Vision Dojo. She has been training at the Dojo in Orlando under the guidance of Chris Hero. You can check out a photo of Ellering with Hero below:
The following is scheduled for tonight’s 4/27 WWE NXT on WWE Network:

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Elias Samson
NXT Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Eva Marie
The official YouTube account gave a shou out to WWE and Shinsuke Nakamura for WWE’s acclaimed theme song for the Japanese superstar. The video has already reached over one million views on YouTube since releasing earlier this month.
After last night’s NXT event, Finn Balor came out to get on the tour bus. Balor had a message for the fans outside watching: He said: “see you all on Monday.” You can see the video footage below:
With Samoa Joe defeating Fin Balor last night for the NXT Championship, Joe becomes the first and only person to hold the WWE NXT, ROH and TNA Titles.
WWE has reported that Samoe Joe has dethroned the demon Finn Balór end at an NXT live event in Lowell Mass ending his record setting reign of 292 days.
The Now that we have a new NXT champion there’s two main questions. What’s next for the monster in his path of distruction now that he has gold around his waist? And what is next for the former champion Balór?
Our best bet is that the Demon is heading to the main roster. It would definitely keep the momentum Raw has had in the last few weeks going. Perhaps the most obvious scenario would be the inception of the Bullet Club and or Balór club (which ever they decide to call it)
All the pieces are already aligned. Styles is number 1 contender for the WWE world heavyweight title, Gallows and Anderson have made their presence known in the last two weeks, the only thing missing is Finn.
What do you guys think? Will we see a new formation of the Bullet club? Will Balór debut on Raw? Or perhaps Payback? Let us know in the comments below.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were two incidents at the WrestleCon indie convention in Dallas during WrestleMania 32 weekend – one involving Karen Jarrett and Lucha Underground’s Melissa Santos, the other involving former WWE talent Stacy “The Kat” Carter and Tessa Blanchard, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard.
No word on what caused the incident between Tessa, who recently appeared on WWE NXT TV against Nia Jax, and Carter, Jerry Lawler’s ex-wife but it had something to do with Carter telling Tessa she wasn’t showing respect. Word is that the argument would’ve ended in a fight but Tessa’s boyfriend Ricochet stepped in as the peacemaker.
Santos was complaining about not having a chair to sit in and somehow Karen, who was criticized by many in attendance, spat on her, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This led to an argument and observers thought they were about to come to blows but things calmed down.
There was also a minor incident with Jeff Jarrett and Brian Knobbs. It was said to be a half-hearted incident where Jarrett shoved Knobbs but his balance was so bad that he fell. This led to the hotel putting a security officer in the lobby for the rest of the weekend and a sign about no horseplay.
