Rey Mysterio Reportedly Done With Lucha Libre AAA, Pay Issues With Talent

There are major cash flow and pay issues with many AAA luchadores in Mexico, with the highest profile talent being Rey Mysterio. Mysterio is apparently done with AAA due to the late pay and corporate disorganization. He last appeared for the promotion last December.

Mysterio isn’t the only talent to be frustrated with the company, as there is a lot of disenchantment in AAA right now and several talent have complained about late pay. Many luchadores and office staff have contacted CMLL and ELITE about jumping, and some have reached out to WWE intermediaries. Chris Master also recently took to Twitter and posted a message about not receiving “a cent of help” from AAA after suffering an injury while wrestling for them, but deleted the tweet.

According to sources, the only way Mysterio would return to AAA is if they paid up and offered him guaranteed creative control.

Rey Mystero Jr. def. Myzteziz – by Submission: After the match, Pentagon Jr., Averno & Joe Lider attacked Myzteziz & Mysterio with a staple gun. Myzteziz & Mysterio fought back and Myzteziz stapled Lider. Myzteziz turned on Mysterio and challenged him to a mask vs mask match. Myzteziz powerbombed Mysterio through a table and then hit him with a military press gutbuster. Konnan was in the ring but the PPV feed got cut off.

AAA TripleMania XXIII Trailer (video)

Mexico wrestling promotion AAA released the trailer for their upcoming TripleMania XXIII PPV show on Sunday, August 9th. TripleMania XXIII will feature Rey Mysterio VS Myzteziz (the original Sin Cara) and Alberto El Patron VS Brian Cage in a hair VS hair match.

Lucha Underground News: Hernandez’s Status After TNA Appearance, Talents Frustrated

Last night Hernandez returned to TNA Wrestling, he appeared on both Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground broadcast.

It’s believed that Hernandez gained his release from Lucha Underground and he had felt there was breach in the deal. Wrestling Observer Newsletter had reported that BDC leader MVP had been trying to recruit Hernandez as of late.

Hernandez will likely keep appearing on Lucha Underground through August since he had taped several episodes for the company. Hernandez has also been working for All Elite in Mexico, which is competition for AAA in Mexico.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter many Lucha Underground talents have been frustrated with the company. Talents have been asking about a second season for months and haven’t received any word. Many talents don’t want to book shows at a certain point on the off-chance that a second season is announced and they have to those tapings.

Lucha Underground Results: 6/10/15

Dario Cueto announced ULTIMA LUCHA, which will take place in 8 weeks, August 5 on the 2 hour season finale.

Chavo visited Black Lotus in her cell.

Drago who is banished from the Temple confronted Cueto in the bathroom. Drago wants to be in the #1 contender’s match. Cueto agrees to let him in the match but if he loses he will still be banished and have to unmask.

Disciples of Death w/Catrina def. Pimpinela, Mascarita & Bengala

In his office, Cueto tells Johnny Mundo that next week he will face Prince Puma for the Lucha Underground Title in a Iron Man match that will last the entire show.

#1 Contender’s Match: Drago def. King Cuerno, Hernandez and Cage

Prince Puma came to the ring and stood face-to-face with Drago with the Title belt held up high.

Catrina physically confronted Cueto in his office. She wanted to k now why Mil Muertes wasn’t in the #1 contender’s match. Cueto made a #1 contender’s match between Mil Muertes and Drago in two weeks. Catrina said it was a wise choice and told Cueto that even the monster he hides in that cell is no match for Mil Muertes.
