As noted during our raw live tweets by Vanessa Cody Rhodes was “fired” during last night’s broadcast to give him time off for his wedding. WWE is continuing with the firing storyline today by featuring a article on WWE.com with reactions from his father and brother.

Dustin said he has yet to speak with his brother about the firing, which has cast a dark cloud over the week the Rhodes family was getting ready to celebrate Cody’s nuptials.

“I texted him a couple of times, he did text back and said ‘I don’t want to talk right now,’” Dustin explained. “I understand that. If I can’t get on the phone with him, I’m driving down to his house to see if I can talk with him and figure out a Plan B. Whatever happens, Cody’s got me and dad. That’s for damn sure.”

Shane McMahon has stepped down as the CEO of a video on demand company that provides content to China. Naturally speculation is going around that he might return to a position at WWE. McMahon is known for his charisma and his legendary ring antics. Should he return to some sort of on screen position on WWE programming it would definitely be fun to watch.

As we previously posted the reason for WWE Hall of Famer Edge’s appearance on next week’s edition of RAW is to promote the new season of the SyFy program Haven, which will take place on September 13th. Edge’s appearance is set to be a one-time-only deal with the company.

Fandango suffered a possible broken nose during his match with The Miz on Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW.

In an update, PWInsider.com confirms that Fandango’s injury is legitimate.
