With the departure of Celeste Bonin (Kaitlyn) from the WWE it’s appropriate that we mark this special occasion.
It happened a year ago this week January 14th to be exact. In her home town of Houston Texas, during the 20th anniversary of Monday Night Raw. Kaitlyn faced Eve Torres for the WWE Divas Championship. Kaitlyn who had not yet ever held the championship tried numerous times previously and was unsuccessful.
This match was a showstopper and showcased the pure athletic ability of Kaitlyn. It was an emotional night in front of family and friends as Kaitlyn would become Divas champion for the first and only time during her WWE career.
Kaitlyn was brought to tears at the end of the match as she tightly held the coveted championship. Kaitlyn had paid her dues and worked her way up the ladder through NXT over the past couple of years and now finally achieved the goal of being called champion.
You can watch the entire match below.

PJ Braun Proposes To Celeste Bonin- Pj and his family went to see Celeste wrestle in Connecticut. This is the actual proposal that was recorded by PJ’s dad. Celeste thought he was just recording PJ telling the story of how he almost lost his bag in the airport. In actuality PJ lost the bag WITH THE RING in it. He found it and still made the plane in the last second! Here is the end of that story and the proposal.

As we celebrate the life and legacy of Mae Young, a pioneer in women’s wrestling we are going to take a look back at achievements for women in professional wrestling.
First up – DIVAS CONTRACT SIGNING
Last year AJ Lee and former WWE Diva Kaitlyn took part in the first ever Divas contract signing for a championship match at Money In The Bank.
WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Mae Young has died
Young — the only wrestler to compete in NINE DIFFERENT DECADES (her first match in 1939; her last in 2010) — was hospitalized and placed on life support last month
Mae and fellow pioneer female wrestler The Fabolous Moolah returned to the WWE back in 1999 — when they were both in their 70s — and were involved in numerous iconic moments like being powerbombed through a table by the Dudley Boyz … and the birth of “hand.”
