Update on our earlier report regarding CM Punks official release

WWE sources have made it clear that CM Punk has NOT been released as earlier speculated. All signs point to earlier reports being nothing more rumors as of this writing.

Another Photo Of AJ Lee & CM Punk Together In Chicago Over The Weekend

Earlier we posted a photo taken at an airport in Chicago where CM Punk was seen picking up girlfriend WWE Diva AJ Lee. Here is another photo of the two getting rather romantic at the airport upon her arrival. Punk appears to be holding her while her legs are wrapped around him for a hug.

As we reported earlier, AJ Lee was given special permission to have the weekend off for this trip to see Punk Her scheduled  matches at live events were replaced.

CM Punk Officially Given Release?

PWinsider sources say that CM Punk has gotten his official release from the WWE over the weekend with no conditions or stipulations. He is officially free to do what he wants. Vince McMahon was considered the last resort to try and save the relationship with the company but was unsuccessful. While this has not been officially confirmed PWinsider has multiple sources reporting this news.

There was talk going around at the weekend house shows that CM Punk was given his official release from WWE on Friday. We have not been able to confirm that and Punk is still shown on the Superstars page of WWE website. We did hear from a few people that spoke to him recently and he is telling them that he is “done”.

UPDATE: For what it’s worth and to report everything fairly ROH just leaked out that they are “in talks with a big name” wrestler according to some. Speculation is fine it’s our job, we are not confirming anything.
