The Moving Words Vince McMahon Said To Warrior

The Associate Press has an article about The Ultimate Warrior’s untimely passing at this link. During the article, Triple H noted that Vince McMahon told Warrior a couple of days ago, “I’ve always loved you. Sometimes, I didn’t like you, but I always loved you.”

Sean Waltman was also interviewed for the story, who noted that Warrior didn’t look to be in the best of health at last Saturday’s WWE Hall of Fame.

“I got a sense he wasn’t well,” Waltman said. “It was sad to me. He was kind of hunched over. He used to have such great posture. You just had this sense that he wasn’t well. But he was in great spirits. He came up to (other wrestlers) and gave them hugs.”

WWE Changes Headline Out Of Respect For Ultimate Warrior

WWE edited their article on The Undertaker’s Streak after The Ultimate Warrior passed way. The original title said, “The Streak Is Dead.” It now says, “The Streak Is Over.”

Jim Ross has a new blog on jrsbarbq.com with his thoughts on The Ultimate Warrior. Here’s part of what he wrote:

“The most memorable moment for me this past weekend in New Orleans was the interaction at the WWE Hall of Fame between Warrior and his two daughters who accompanied their Dad on stage just before he gave his induction speech. The love and bond between a father and his daughters was obvious and heart warming.

In an arena full of Warrior fans, many of who were reliving their youth with their hero, Warrior made it clear that his greatest accomplishment was not being the Ultimate Warrior but instead being the father of his two daughters.

In a career and life often marked by controversy, the beauty of the weekend was seeing Warrior come home to WWE accompanied by his family and that they were able to enjoy the celebration together.

I live with this mantra daily, “Tomorrow’s aren’t guaranteed for any of us.” Today, that philosophy is more meaningful than ever.

Fans at the airport in New Orleans around 6am on Tuesday morning. He was said to be in great spirits and offered to take photos with any fan who approached him.

Fellow 2014 Hall of Famer Jake Roberts commented on Twitter:

“Deeply saddened. We just had a great talk & buried a senseless hatchet. Talked working together. RIP Warrior. Taking solace we made peace.”

TNA posted on their website:

“TNA joins the entire wrestling world in mourning the passing of Warrior. He was one of the most popular superstars in the history of professional wrestling and will certainly be missed by millions of fans worldwide. We hope everyone will keep his family in their thoughts and prayers.”

9:52 PM PT — Officials tell TMZ … Warrior collapsed outside an Arizona hotel at 5:50 PM on April 8th … while walking to his car with his wife.  

Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital … where he was pronounced dead.

The Ultimate Warrior has died … this according to the WWE. 

Warrior — real name James Hellwig — was a true WWE legend … and was one of the most iconic wrestlers of all time.  He was 54-years-old.

Warrior was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania XXX this weekend … and last night (Monday), he made his first appearance on “Monday Night Raw” in years. ( last time in 1996)

Details on exactly how The Ultimate Warrior passed away have not been released. Scottsdale police spokesman Sergeant Mark Clark gave this statement – “At this point in the investigation, it appears as though a catastrophic medical condition caused his death.”

TMZ reports that The Ultimate Warrior The Ultimate Warrior was seen clutching his chest moments before he collapsed at a Arizona hotel on Tuesday, according to their law enforcement sources who spoke to eye witnesses.

Sting was not backstage at RAW last night in New Orleans. There’s a feeling within WWE that Sting won’t appear on WWE TV for a long time.

WWE Network numbers came out Monday, there were people within WWE who were surprised & took it as not a good sign. Many in WWE were expecting over 1 million subscribers. There are reports that we may see a price jump to $11.99 or $12.99 next year

Show opened with a look at Daniel Bryan’s path to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan came to the ring. Yes! Yes! Yes! Huge Daniel Bryan chant. Bryan talked about everybody being united with one word – Yes! You deserve it chant from the fans. Bryan said the fans deserve it. Bryan talked about becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The Authority came down & stood on the ring apron. Triple H said he isn’t getting in the ring. Bryan with both title belts did a Yes! chant in Triple H’s face. Triple H said this is just a moment & it wont last, it want even make it through the night & he is going to personally see to it. Triple H said Bryan is going to defend the championship tonight against him. Triple H said he is going to put an end to this & shut up the world. Triple H said this is his show & Bryan can’t do anything about it.

The Authority in the back talking about ending the Yes Movement tonight. Batista came in & blamed all that has happened on Triple H because Triple H lost to Daniel Bryan. Triple H said Batista is the one who tapped. Batista said he has earned a one-on-one title shot not a triple threat. Randy Orton came in & said he deserves it & wants his rematch tonight. Triple H said he is going to run the show how he sees fit & that they will get a rematch but not tonight. Stephanie said Batista & Orton are deserving of a rematch & they will settle things after RAW. Stephanie put Batista & Orton in a WWE Tag Team Championship match tonight against The Usos. They don’t care about the tag titles. Triple told them that if they are all on the same page no one can stop them.

Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman came to the ring. Heyman talked about Lesnar conquering The Streak. Heyman said Lesnar isn’t here to put smiles on people’s faces, he is here to shock the WWE Universe & put tears in the eyes of children. Heyman talked about The Undertaker collapsing in the back after the match at WrestleMania & taken to the hospital & is being treated for a concussion. Heyman said if Taker kicked out of the 3rd F5, Lesnar wasn’t going to be done until The Streak was dead. Heyman said he doesn’t understand everybody giving Taker a standing ovation after losing. Heyman went on about everybody being wannabees & Lesnar being the one. Lesnar called Daniel Bryan, John Cena, The Undertaker, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, HBK, Randy Orton & Triple H all wannabees. Heyman said Lesnar is the one in 21-1.

Damien Sandow VS Rob Van Dam: RVD got the win.

Rey Mysterio VS Bad News Barrett: Huge Bad News Barrett chant during the match. Fans were booing Mysterio & cheering for Barrett. Fans booed Mysterio even after he hit the 619 & Mysterio stood on the top rope & couldn’t believe the fans booing him & cheering Barrett. Barrett got the win.

The Ultimate Warrior came to the ring. He shooked the ropes & said “speak to me warriors.” He put on a Warrior mask & talked about the fans being legend makers of The Ultimate Warrior. He talked about the fans making the Superstars in the back legends as well. He said ” the spirit of The Ultimate Warrior will run forever.”

AJ Lee & Tamina Snuka came to the ring. AJ talked about being the Divas Champion for 295 days, the longest reigning Divas Champion of all time. AJ talked giving the Divas a shot at her title & that last night all the Divas proved that she is the hero of this story. AJ talked about overcoming the odds at WrestleMania. Fans chanted CM Punk. AJ said that she is the savior of the Divas Division & that she is the Divas Division. Paige from NXT came out. AJ asked what she id doing out here. Paige said she came to do what no one else would do – to congratulate her. Paige said AJ was great last night. AJ said thanks & that all the Divas should line up & congratulate her & thank her for everything she has done for them. AJ told Paige she didn’t need her congrats & told here to go back to NXT because she doesn’t like being interrupted. Paige said sorry. AJ challenged Paige to a match. Paige said she isn’t ready. AJ said she is & slapped her & asked if she is ready now. AJ said she will put her title on the line & called for a referee. AJ told Paige that this is her house & she will tell her when she is ready.

Divas Championship Match: Paige VS Divas Champ AJ Lee: Paige fought out of a Black Widow & hit AJ with a Paige Turner for the win. Paige got the win & became the new Divas champion.

Hulk Hogan came to the ring & talked about the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Fans chanted Cesaro. Hogan said that when Big Show was tossed over the top rope his heart felt great because he knew the big man upstairs was looking down with a smile on his face. Hogan introduced Cesaro. Cesaro came to the ring with Zeb Colter. Hogan congratulated Cesaro & handed him the mic & left the ring. Zeb took the mic from Cesaro & said he will take it from here. Zeb talked about how he made Cesaro a Real American & a Zeb Colter guy. Cesaro said he isn’t a Zeb Coltert guy, he’s a Paul Heyman guy. Heyman came out & said he is the advocate for “The King of Swing” Cesaro. Zeb asked if Cesaro is jumping ship to Heyman. Heyman said this seems to be the week of shocking moments for Paul Heyman guys. Heyman went over to the announce table to instruct JBL, Cole & Lawler on how to discuss the future of “The King of Swing” Cesaro. Zeb & Cesaro argued & Jack Swagger came in & shoved Cesaro knocking him out of the ring. Swagger destroyed the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy. Cesaro went after Swagger & clotheslined him over the top rope.

Cesaro VS Jack Swagger: Swagger walked out on the match & was counted out. Cesaro won by count out.

Stephanie in the back with Kane & The Shield. She told them she doesn’t care what happened between them at WrestleMania, what really matters is that Triple H becomes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight & all of them is going to make sure it happens. Rollins said Kane is missing his buddies The New Age Outlaws. Ambrose said as long as they are around we will probably never see them again. Reigns said he will see to it personally. Kane said The Shield is on thin ice & Triple H sees them for who they really are. Kane verbally went off on The Shield & Stephanie yelled for Kane to stop. Stephanie said there is an injustice here & this what The Shield stands for. Stephanie told them tonight they & Kane will be on the same page because what Triple H the boss wants he gets. She asked Kane if she makes herself clear. Kane said absolutely & left. She asked The Shield. Reigns said crystal.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan VS Triple H: Bryan was out first. Batista & Orton came down & attacked Bryan. Orton hit Bryan with a RKO. Batista hit Bryan with a Batista Bomb. Kane came down & chokeslammed Bryan. Triple H & Stephanie came down & they ordered the ref start the match. The Shield came down to the ring. The Shield stares down Kane, Batista & Orton across the ring. Triple H tells them not now. The Shield entered the ring. Kane, Batista & Orton entered the ring. Triple H told them to stand down this is not happening. Triple tells Kane, Batista & Orton as well. Triple H turned around & Reigns speared him. They all start fighting. The Shield clear Kane, Batista & Orton from the ring. The Shield surrounded Triple H. Bryan gets back up & hits Triple H with a running knee. Kane & Orton pull Triple H out of the ring. Bryan & The Shield stand in the ring. Bryan leads the fans in a Yes! chant.

 

 

NXT’s Paige Become’s New Divas Champion

AJ Lee’s WWE Divas Title reign lasted just 295 days as NXT Women’s Champion Paige defeated her on tonight’s RAW. Paige came out to congratulate AJ but AJ slapped her and challenged her to a match.

CONFIRMED: Undertaker Suffers Concussion

WWE’s website posted the following this afternoon:

“WWE.com can confirm that, following last’s night historic match with Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker was immediately taken to Ochsner Medical Center. After a CT scan and other medical testing, he was diagnosed with a severe concussion and was kept overnight for further evaluation. He was discharged early Monday afternoon.”

Very Few People Knew The Outcome Of Undertaker vs Lesnar Match Within WWE

The finish was planned but was kept from people even very high up in WWE’s marketing and production departments. WWE officials were very afraid of the finish leaking and it’s said only a small circle of 4-6 people were aware.

Vince McMahon actually missed the WrestleMania main event and Daniel Bryan’s big win because he left his post to ride with Taker to the hospital in the back of the ambulance. Vince left it up to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to run the rest of the show, all while playing a role in the main event as well.
