Cena, Bryan or Orton? Who Leaves Summerslam With The Title

How many big names can you fit into the picture of one match for the WWE Title? Factor in that it’s Summerslam and that should guarantee some serious excitement for this match!

There’s the participants, champion John Cena, vs challenger Daniel Bryan.

Next, there is Triple H serving as the special guest referee.

There’s Vince McMahon who has made his presence known during this build up to Summerslam.

Finally there is Randy Orton – lurking in the background, ready to cash in that valued Money in the Bank Contract if the time is right.

There are so many ways this can unfold. Cena can retain, Bryan can grab the gold and after either of those options Orton can be in line to take the belt from either of them by cashing in that contract.

One of the interesting parts of this triangle of superstars, is the fact that all three are currently fan favorites. Sure seems like there will be a lot of happy fans no matter who wins, unless of course there is  a heel turn, which is not out of the question.

Also, part of the intrigue of this match is the fact that Cena is dating a Bella twin, while Bryan is engaged to the other. That goes along with the fact that Cena chose Bryan to be his opponent for this match, giving “the beard” a chance to continue the amazing run that Bryan has been on for months now.

How does Triple H fit into this equation? Will he be fair and call a clean match, or will he put his stamp on the match. Even more will Vince McMahon decide to get involved and try to dictate who he wants to hold the belt. If that’s the case, Orton may go home the winner as The Boss has made clear that he doesn’t want either Cena or Bryan to hold the title.

Most of the so-called experts are saying that Orton leaves with the belt. However, when you follow the industry and see the picks for each PPV, many times the experts don’t live up to that title. We’ll have to see how all of this plays out later tonight.

TOTAL DIVAS RECAP: Relationships Problems Plague The Divas

Before I start with this week’s recap, I want to mention one thing I left off of last week’s post. It was great seeing Bryan James (Road Dogg) working backstage with the Divas on how their match needed to go.

Now for this week. Early in the show, we get a look at the reality of professional wrestling, as JoJo gets injured while training with the NXT trainers. She has to sit off to the side and watch as she possibly has a concussion.

The theme of the show seems to be how the business puts such strains on personal relationships. And as I click over to WWE.com the heading for the show is Relationship Meltdowns.

JoJo and her boyfriend are having issues about her being gone so much,

Trinity and Jon are having trouble as Jon wants Trinity to commit to more than just being engaged.

Brie, tells Nikki that her and Bryan will be moving to Phoenix. Nikki isn’t very happy with the decision and later in the show tells both Brie and and Bryan she hates them . A little later the Bella Twins are meeting with producers from a movie that they will be appearing in. Brie is late for the meeting and Nikki blames it on them packing for the move.

John helps Nikki see that Bryan isn’t really a bad guy and that she has a short fuse, and eventually Nikki apologizes to Brie and Brie tells Nikki that Bryan helped her see things through Nikki’s eyes.

Good to see Bill DeWitt (Hugh Morrus) working with the Divas.

With the background of  Trinity and Jon having problems, WWE sets a match with with the Bellas and the Usos taking on The Funkadactyls and Tons of Funk. Trinity and Jon are opponents and are tagged in at the same time and by WWE rules, Trinity should have tagged in one of the men. Instead Trinity gives him a flying head scissors. Backstage issues flowing over into the ring.

As the show is ending, JoJo chooses to break up with her boyfriend and follow her career and Trinity apologizes to Jon and they decide to continue in their relationship.

My observations for tonight are that there was a pretty good mixture between what I call drama and backstage and in ring action. Also, it was evident that after most of the focus last week being on Eva Marie, they decided to put her in the background tonight.
