Show opened with footage from last weeks wedding including post show footage of the wedding party being helped to the back.
Aces & Eights arrived in the parking lot & where making a lot of noise on their motorcycles. They were in a good mood.
Aces & Eights came to the ring lead by Taz. Taz said he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be apart of the machine known as Aces & Eights that has an agenda of revenge & redemption & take direction & live by the vision of a higher power. Taz said that Brooke Hogan & Bully Ray’s wedding was a opportunity to stand on their faces & make their presence known to a higher level. Taz said that Bully was just another victim. Taz said that according to his contract he is bulletproof & if someone puts their hands on him he will own this place. Taz called himself “Teflon Taz.” He said that Aces & Eights are driven to run over you & we will. he said that Brooke & Bully where just collateral damage. Taz said good luck dealing with Aces & Eights & the higher power.
Backstage Jesse was trying to motivate Tara for her Knockout Title defense against Velvet Sky.
Daniels & Kazarian in the locker room. Kazarian showed of his credentials as license manager extraordinaire. Daniels said that his World Title match against Jeff Hardy isn’t a big match. He said it is a turning point for TNA & they need him.
TNA Knockouts Championship Match: Velvet Sky vs Knockouts Champ Tara with Jesse in her corner: Jesse interfered in the match & held Velvet’s foot as Tara got the 3 count to retain the Knockouts Championship.
Backstage Sting was asked about the wedding. Sting said that he will say what he has to say in the ring.
Backstage Kenny King was talking to Zema Ion about their tag match against RVD & Christian York. King told Ion to set on the apron let him do the heavy lifting. King leaves & Ion sprays his hair with hairspray looking into a mirror & said that he is the greatest X-Division Champion ever & he will show King how to look good.
Joseph Park came to the ring. Park said that his place here is of a member of the Impact Wrestling roster. He said his first match didn’t go as expected & he didn’t get the W but he fought hard. He said he is here to be the best he can be. Park said that he will be at next weeks Open Fight Night & is going to take the week studying tapes so he can decide who he calls out. Park said he is going to get his W.
Zema Ion & Kenny King vs RVD & Christian York: Ion & King got the win. King was upset that Ion got the pin fall instead of him.
Bully Ray & Brooke Hogan arrived at the Impact Zone & was asked about the wedding. Bully said that he will do his talking in the ring.
Backstage Samoa Joe was talking with Wes Briscoe & Garett Bischoff about Kurt Angle’s condition. Angle came in & said that he isn’t 100% but he knows what he has to do & tonight the whole world will find out what that is. Joe left & Angle told Briscoe & Bischoff that he isn’t 100% but he still can kick some *ss.
Bully & Brooke came to the ring. Taz had left the announce table before they came out. Bully said that last week should have been the greatest night of their lives but it turned into a nightmare. He said that he expected that from Devon but not from Taz. Bully called Taz a scum bag & a coward & asked where Taz was. Bully said that he didn’t care so much that he got hurt but it was the people around him that got hurt.. Bully said that you hurt Sting, you hurt Hulk Hogan but most of important you hurt Brooke the one he loves. He said how dare you ruin our day. He said the things he is going to do to Devon, Taz & every single member of Aces & Eights he can’t talk about & even can’t say it on national television. He said that every member of Aces & Eights better sleep with one eye open. Bully guaranteed that he he wont sleep one wink until he kicks every single one of Aces & eights *sses. Bully said but he can’t do that until Hogan lifts his suspension. Bully that he knows that Hogan isn’t here & that he is home resting up & taking care of Impact business & asked Hogan to lift his suspension. Sting came to the ring & said that Hogan doesn’t do anything halfway & that Hogan goes all the way to the top no matter what he does. Sting said that Hogan has come only halfway by walking his daughter down the isle & giving her away to his new son in- law Bully Ray. Sting said now is the time for Hogan to go all the way. Sting said he believes next week at Open Fight Night that Hogan will reinstate Bully.
Backstage Austin Aries & Bobby Roode try to decide which one of them will face Hernandez tonight. Neither one wants to face Hernandez. Aries says for Roode to take care of Hernandez & that he will clean up the mess.
Backstage Jeff Hardy talked about his Title match against Daniels.
Bobby Roode vs Hernandez: Aries came down & saved Roode from a dive from Hernandez. Roode argued with Aries saying he didn’t need to be saved. Chavo went after Aries & they brawled. Roode took advantage of a distracted Hernandez & got the win.
Kurt Angle came to the ring. He said he thought Aces & eights where going to be temporary but obviously their in it for the long haul. Angle said that he sick & tired of their cheap shots, sneak attacks & the injuries they have laid upon the Impact wrestlers. Angle said Taz doesn’t even know what revenge is. He said next week is Open Fight Night & he will get his revenge at the hands of Mr. Anderson & only Mr. Anderson. Angle called Anderson to the ring so he can tell him something personally. Anderson came to the ring & said that he doesn’t want to fight Angle next week because he wants to do it now & Anderson attacked Angle. Angle fought back & Anderson escaped from the ring & headed up the ramp. Angle said that next week it is going to be Angle vs Anderson one on one inside a steel cage.
Aces & Eight in their clubhouse. Anderson told the hookers to shut up. Devon told Anderson to relax & enjoy. Devon said that he wont let Anderson go in there without a battle plan.
TNA World Championship Match: Daniels vs TNA World Champ Jeff Hardy: Kazarian was at ringside as Daniels’s manager. Hardy got the win to retain the World Title. After the match Taz came down to ringside & asked Hardy a question. Taz asked what are you going to do when Aces & Eights destroys everything around here & What are you going to do when your Worlds Title is gone. A masked member of Aces & Eights attacked Hardy from behind with a ball-peen hammer to the back of his knee.
Hulk Hogan and TNA president Dixie Carter are in the United Kingdom doing promotion for TNA wrestling and filming a episode of Impact scheduled to air next Thursday. Also in London are the members of the music group Paramore Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis, and Taylor York.
While on BBC Radio One promoting their new single “NOW” from the upcoming self-titled album “Paramore” Hayley Williams who is known to be a wrestling fan totally gets starstruck when she learns that the hulkster is in the same building as the band

TNA announced via press release that they have signed a deal with Nippon Television which will see Impact and PPVs air on the G+ cable channel. The shows will air at 7:30 PM on Saturdays. This will include iMPACT!, the four early PPV shows and the monthly “PPV specials.”
This will be the first time that the promotion has been aired in Japan. TNA executive Andy Barton commented, saying, “This agreement with Nippon Television’s G+ will allow TNA to deliver its exciting brand of professional wrestling to our ever growing Japanese fanbase. The history of wrestling in Japan is very long and very rich and everyone at TNA is thrilled that we’re now a full part of it.”
Vickie Guerrero & Paul Heyman came to the ring. Vickie said that she wants us to be entertained. Heyman said he is out here with Vickie in a show of solidarity. He said that last week The Rock defamed his & Vickie’s character. Vickie said that The Rock is banned from the arena & if he enters the arena he will be arrested. A crew member told Vickie that The Rock was here. The Rock is outside the arena where he was stopped from entering by the police. The Rock told the officers that there is nothing that can stop him from getting in the arena & into the People’s ring & electrifying. One of the officers told The Rock that they will arrest him if he enters the arena. The Rock said there is noway that he won’t get into the People’s ring tonight. Vickie said Rock will be arrested if he enters the arena “if you smell what the Vick is cooking.”
There will be Beat the Clock Challenge matches tonight where the winner gets to chose the spot he enters the Royal Rumble match.
Beat the Clock Match: Antonio Cesaro vs Randy Orton: Orton got the win to set the clock at 11:36.
Video promo of The Shield. They showed footage of their attacks on Sheamus, Orton, The Miz, Team Hell No & Ryback. They said that they are just getting started.
Big Show vs Zach Ryder: Brad Maddox came to the announcer table to do commentary during the match. Big Show got the win.
Heyman was in the locker room on the phone. Brad Maddox interrupted him. Maddox said that there is nothing he wouldn’t do to keep his dream alive. Heyman told Maddox he was wrong about him & if he sticks with him he will make him famous.
Ryback vs Heath Slater of 3MB: Ryback got the win. After the match Ryback said his job is fun. He said that he was made for the Royal Rumble match & it will lead him to the main event at Wrestle Mania. Ryback started a “feed me more” chant.
The Rock still outside the arena trying to talk the police into letting him in. Rock said the police are here to protect & sreve the people. One officer said he has a ticket for the show & his family is inside at the show. Vickie showed up wanting Rock to be arrested. The police said he hasn’t done anything wrong yet. Vickie threatened to have the officers suspended if they don’t do what she tells them. Vickie said she would lift the ban if The Rock apologized to her. Rock said he he would not apologize & he will get into the ring on his own terms. He told Vickie that she still looks horrible tonight. Vickie stormed off. Rock told the officers that he has an idea.
CM Punk & Paul Heyman came to the ring. Punk talked about what the WWE Championship meant to him. Punk said that he wont allow Rock or any man to take it from him. He said Rock is here to entertain & that he is here to hurt people & to be WWE Champion. He said Rock is proud to be the People’s Champion & he is proud to be a real champion. He said he chose honest arrogance & Rock chose the People. He said he has earned the right to be champion. He said the People don’t matter the WWE title is all that matters & that he is the best in the world.
Beat the Clock match: Time to beat is 11:36: Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz: AJ & Big E. Langston was at ringside for the match. Langston interfered in the match. Ziggler got the win to set a new time of 10:56.
Team Hell No Anger Management Graduation Ceremony. Team Hell No came to the ring wearing graduation gowns. Dr. Shelby said he was proud of them & handed them their caps to put on & their diplomas. Dr. Shelby asked them who should be the valedictorian. Kane & Bryan argued about who it should be, Kane said Bryan & Bryan said Kane. Dr. Shelby asked them if a hug would make them feel better & they said yes. Dr. Shelby said that everyone everywhere should hug. Team Hell No got Lawler & Cole to hug & got people in the audience to hug. Team Hell No & Dr. Shelby told everyone to hug.
Alicia Fox vs Kaitlyn: Kaitlyn got the win.
Backstage Heyman told Punk that he has arranged a sky box for him to go & watch from as he goes to the ring to deliver a personal message to The Rock.
Heyman in the ring, said to Punk who is up in a sky box that this is for him. Heyman said that he was acting as Punk’s interpreter. Heyman said that Mr. McMahon is a tyrant & is desperate for someone to beat Punk. He said that The Rock is the current flavor of the month. Heyman called The Rock stupid. The Rock’s music hit & The Rock came out showing he has a ticket & came to the ring. Rock thanked the police for the ticket. Heyman started to interrupt & Rock told Heyman to shut up & called him Twinkie Tits & told him to get out of the ring. Rock said that tonight is Punk’s last night on Raw as WWE Champion. Rock said he is proud to be the People’s Champion. Rock said he will rip Punk’s face off. Rock said he has waited 10 years for this shot. He said like MLK he has adream where he will become WWE Champion again. Rock promises that he will beat Punk at the Royal Rumble & when that is done Rock said we can say free at last, free at last, thank God almighty we are free at last. The light went out & when they came back on The Shield was attacking Rock . The Shield laid Rock out with a triple powerbomb. Punk from his sky box said you have to pay a price for your freedom. Punk said that The Rock isn’t good enough to beat the best in the world.
The Final Beat the Clock Match: Sheamus vs Wade Barrett: Sheamus was about to hit Barrett with a Brogue Kick when AJ, Ziggler & Langston came to rinside & AJ enterd the ring preventing Sheamus from delivering the Brogue Kick on Barrett. Sheamus eventually was able to hit Barrett with the Brogue Kick but was to late the time expired before he could get a 3 count. Ziggler won the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Backstage in Vickie’s office Ziggler , AJ & Langston came in & Ziggler was boasting how he won the Beat the Clock Challenge. Ziggler talked about picking his number for the Royal Rumble. Vickie interrupted & told Ziggler that she didn’t say he could pick any number. Vickie said he gets to chose between 1& 2.
Punk & Heyman was backstage & Mr. McMahon appeared asked them if they think they are clever. Punk said they had nothing to do with what happened to The Rock. McMahon told Punk that if The Shield interferes in his match with The Rock at the Royal Rumble that he would strip him of the WWE Championship.
Alberto Del Rio vs Tensai: Del Rio got the win.
Bob Backlund was annouced as an inductee into the 2013 Hall Of Fame.
John Cena came to the ringto address the WWE Universe. Cena rambled on about doing whatever you want on Sunday’s. He talked about the Royal Rumble match this Sunday. Cena said that he will win. Sheamus came out & said that he will win. Prime time Players came out. Randy Orton came out & said that he will win. The Miz came out & said he will win. Team Hell No came out & each said he would win & they argued about it. Antonio Cesaro came out & said he would win. 3MB came out & said that one of them would win. A big brawl broke out in the ring & other Superstars came to the ring & joined the brawl in the ring.
Bully Ray in his dressing room getting prepared for his wedding to Brooke Hogan. His brother Spike & Tommy Dreamer came in to the room. Spike & Dreamer will be his groomsmen. Brooke was in her dressing room getting her hair done. Brooke said she didn’t know if her dad is going to be at the wedding.
Jeff Hardy came to the ring. He talked about how he prevailed in defended his World Title at Genesis over Bobby Roode & Austin Aries. Hardy said that he is always ready to fight. Kazarian & Daniels interrupted. Kazarian said Daniels will take Hardy’s title. Daniels mentioned his win over James Storm at Genesis in which he earned a World Title match with Hardy next week on Impact Wrestling. Hardy brawled with Daniles & Kazarian & James Storm came to the ring & Daniels & Kazarian fled the ring. Storm challenged them to a fight against him & Hardy.
Jeff Hardy & James Storm vs Bad Influence(Daniels & Kazarian): Hardy & Storm got the win. After the match Daniels attacked Hardy from behind & laid Hardy out with his Angel Wings move onto Hardy’s custom title belt. Daniels draped the World Title belt over his shoulder & laid across Hardy & talked trash to him.
Taz, Bruce Prichard & Al Snow deliberated over the Gut Check match from last week.
Bully with Spike & Dreamer getting dressed for the wedding. Joseph Park came in & congratulated Bully & gave him a box of cigars.
Gut Check Results for Brian Cage & Jay Bradley: Cage was eliminated. Decision for Bradley: Taz voted no, Prichard voted yes, & Snow voted yes. Bradley gets a TNA contract.
Christian York vs Kenny King: King got the win.
Bully talked to Sting backstage. Bully wants Brooke to be happy. Bully asked Sting to talk to Hogan to convince him to be by Brooke’s side at the wedding. Sting agreed to talk to Hogan.
Austin Aries & Bobby Roode in the locker room. They talked about going to the wedding even though they are not invited.
Hogan arrived at the Impact Zone. He was asked if he is going to the wedding. Hogan told him to get the camera out of his face.
Bully, Spike & Dreamer in the dressing room. Taz who is Bully’s best man came in & joined them. Bully said Brooke is a wreck & wants her dad at the wedding.
Sting came to the ring & called Hogan out to talk to him. Hogan told Sting that he isn’t going to pull the wool over his eyes. Sting made his case to Hogan for Bully. Hogan said that there is something not right about Bully & he doesn’t trust him. Sting told Hogan that he needs to do this for himself & for Brooke tonight. Hogan said he always does the right thing.
Backstage Gail Kim confronted the Knockouts referee Taryn Terrell about the end to the Knockouts #1 contender match at Genesis. Gail showed her the footage from the match where she made the 3 count even though Gail’s foot was under the rope. Gail mentioned that Brooke granted her a rematch against Velvet Sky tonight. Terrell said she will call it right down the middle.
Footage was showed from Bully’s bachelor party.
Knockouts #1 Contender Match: Gail Kim vs Velvet Sky: Velvet got the win to become the #1 contender.
Backstage Dixie Carter talked to Brooke. Dixie told her that whatever happens tonight her dad loves her.
Booby Roode & Austin Aries came to the ring. They talked about how great they are & said that they don;t get any respect & are not appreciated. They put down all of the current TNA champions. They said that they object to the wedding. Chavo & Hernandez came to the ring & said that they object to the statements Roode & Aries made about the TNA champions. Roode & Aries called Chavo & Hernandez wedding caterers. Chavo & Hernandez attacked them & Roode & Aries managed to escape the ring.
Hogan in his office talking to Sting about the wedding. Sting said that maybe Brooke can see something in Bully that he can’t. Sting told Hogan that he is wrong about Bully & that he needs to walk Brooke down the isle. Hogan said he is going to pack his bags & leave.
Brooke Hogan & Bully Ray’s Wedding: Tommy Dreamer came out with Miss Tessmacher, Spike came out with Mickie James & Taz came out with Christy Hemme. Hogan showed up & walked Brooke down the isle & gave her away. Brooke & Bully both said I Do. Taz interrupted before the minister pronounced them husband & wife. Taz asked Bully if he sure that he wants do this. Taz said it is hot in here & takes off his jacket & reveals himself to be a member of Aces & Eights. Aces & Eights attacked the wedding party. D.O.C. & Mike Knox held Brooke & made her watch her dad & Bully get beat up. Brooke checked on her dad & he told her to check on Bully. Hogan, Bully, Spike, Dreamer & Sting who apparently came to the ring during the attack where all laid out by Aces & Eights.

Let me start off by saying I take no pleasure in writing this article. Being critical of something that normally brings me much happiness is not an enjoyable experience for me – but watching the 20th Anniversary Episode of Raw was no enjoyable experience either. I can’t believe that the WWE, after a huge build up, produced a very average program with such a huge opportunity.
20 years and the longest running weekly program stands on it’s own merits. It’s a huge deal. It was such a big deal that no one other than “The Boss” Vince McMahon was appropriate to welcome us (the fans) to the 20th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw!!!! Vince let us know that what we have come to expect over those 20 years is entertainment – and that was exactly what I was expecting – 3 hours of entertainment!
What I got was one awesome moment (Kaitlyn winning the WWE Diva’s Championship) and a very average program that didn’t come close to matching all the hype that led up to this historic event.
Disappointment is not even close to explaining how I felt at the end. And the disappointment was not just for myself, but for our staff here at DTRT Wrestling News as well. I use the word staff, but really all we are is 4 wrestling fans who spend our time and money (no, we don’t get paid to do this – and our little hobby is not a money producer at this point in time) covering the world of professional wrestling both inside and outside the ring.
So if we were disappointed, then I’m sure that many were just like us. Here are the tweets from three of our four crew members that were live tweeting at the end of the program:

I mean seriously, an event of this magnitude, and we get CM Punk vs Brodus Clay???? In one highlight videos we get Bastion Booger and Duke “The Dumpster” Droese???? Of all the Superstars from the past all we get is Ric Flair and Mick Foley???? (I love them both, but they have both had recent story lines). The best they can do with AJ is to have her climb up the steel cage and sit on the top and scream????
During his opening, Mr. McMahon jokingly (or so I thought) said this:
Why have over 4 billion viewers enjoyed Monday Night Raw? Because of one reason, because I’m a certifiable iconic genious – and because of each and every one of you and I thank you. We hope you enjoy the 20th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw.
If this show was a thank you, then there must not be much gratitude for the fans and their 20 years of support!
I was told that because the return of The Rock had been so popular the week before, that they thought he would be enough to carry this show. Not even The Rock Concert could pull this show from disaster. Even the confrontation between Rock and Punk sucked. If they wanted The People’s Champ to carry the show, they certainly should have brought him out sooner than 10:55.
If this was all about ratings, why didn’t they tease an appearance of Stone Cold Steve Austin? Do you think that “The Rattlesnake” might have brought in a few extra viewers? Oh Hell Yes!
There were some good matches. Barrett defeating Orton was good; Ryback, Sheamus, and Orton chasing off The Shield was worked for me; Cena and Ziggler in the cage wasn’t bad – but none of them was anything that we might not see any other Monday.
The night was historic, but what was historic about Sheamus losing to 3MB????
As I mentioned earlier, Kaitlyn winning the WWE Diva’s Championship was huge and deserves it’s own coverage, but they even screwed this story line up by having Eve “quit”. If you saw Kaitlyn on “Backstage Fallout”, she had no clue how to respond to Eve’s WWE finale, and quite frankly Eve deserved to leave with something better than a goofy meltdown to a backstage reporter.
Again, if ratings were what they were after – why not jump right into a Kaitlyn/AJ feud. When they were properly using AJ many months ago, she was practically carrying the ratings on her own. They had the audience to drive future ratings, but missed so many opportunities to drive home The Royal Rumble and ultimately Wrestlemania.
I could go on about the time and effort that DTRT Wrestling News put into promoting this event, but that would make the story about us, and the only thing about us and this story is that we, like I’m sure so many other fans were, disappointed, disgusted, and angry as we were expecting something huge and got less than the best that the WWE has to offer!
Hell, we didn’t even get a good Raw!
