Conflicting Reports Surface About Bayley’s WWE Contract Situation

Bayley’s WWE future has become the subject of conflicting reports following her surprise return on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

The former Women’s Champion made her first appearance since July by interfering in Lyra Valkyria’s attempt to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, immediately reigniting their ongoing rivalry. Her return led many fans to believe recent speculation surrounding her WWE contract had been settled.

However, reports regarding her status with the company are telling two very different stories.

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bayley has already agreed to a new deal with WWE.

“She signed a new deal,” Meltzer stated while discussing Bayley’s return.

That report was later challenged by PWInsider Elite, which described Meltzer’s claim as inaccurate. According to PWInsider’s sources, Bayley has not signed a new contract and there have reportedly been no recent negotiations between the two sides.

The report further noted that Bayley’s current WWE deal still has significant time remaining, making immediate contract talks unnecessary. Sources also disputed any suggestion that Bayley’s return to television was contingent upon signing a new agreement.

While questions remain regarding the exact details of her contractual situation, there appears to be no uncertainty about WWE’s plans for Bayley on-screen.

Her return immediately resumed her feud with Valkyria, the former tag team partner who turned on Bayley several months ago. The rivalry previously led to a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July, where Valkyria picked up the victory.

At the time, many viewed the loss as a potential write-off should Bayley decide not to remain with WWE. Instead, her return suggests the storyline is far from over.

Valkyria has seen limited action on Raw since their previous encounter, with this week’s Money in the Bank qualifying match marking only her second match on the brand since defeating Bayley.

For now, Bayley is back on WWE television, but whether she has already signed a new contract remains unclear as conflicting reports continue to emerge.
