MLW’s Court Bauer Scheduled For TV Meetings This Week

Major League Wrestling boss Court Bauer is scheduled to attend a series of TV meetings in Los Angeles this week, according to PWInsider.

Bauer will be looking to lock in plans to add to MLW’s TV and streaming footprint in 2020. MLW is currently under a multi-year TV deal with BeIN SPORTS, but that allows for them to create additional content for other outlets and platforms.

The meetings are planned to explore what else MLW can add to their line-up beyond their commitments to BeIN SPORTS. The belief is that now is the time to strike to expand MLW’s programming footprint, especially with WWE, AEW, and Impact Wrestling all locked into TV deals.

MLW and BeIN SPORTS are both said to be happy with their current deal.

MLW will hold their first pay-per-view event on November 9 from the Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois – Saturday Night SuperFight. Below is the current card:

No DQ Match for the MLW World Heavyweight Title
LA Park vs. Jacob Fatu (c)

MLW World Middleweight Title Match
Austin Aries vs. Teddy Hart (c)

Texas Tornado Match for the MLW EM Tag Team Titles
The Von Erichs vs. MJF and Richard Holliday (c)

MLW National Openweight Title Match

Xavier Woods Injured At Monday’s WWE Live Event In Australia

Xavier Woods suffered an injury at Monday’s WWE live event in Sydney, Australia.

The injury came during Woods and Big E vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival after Woods went down to the mat, clutching his leg. A fan in attendance noted that Woods was whipped into the ropes, but immediately fell down and grabbed the leg or knee.

The referee immediately threw up the dreaded “X” as trainers came out from the back. Woods was checked on and looked to be in pain as Big E and The Revival looked on, concerned. Woods limped away and was helped to the back as the match continued as a Handicap Match with Big E taking the loss to The Revival.

Woods took to Twitter after the show and indicated that he suffered an Achilles tendon injury.

Stay tuned for updates on Woods’ status.

Kylie Rae Makes Impact Wrestling Debut At Bound For Glory

After requesting her release from All Elite Wrestling over the summer, Kylie Rae just debuted in Impact Wrestling at Bound for Glory.

Kylie was a surprise entrant in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet featuring a mix of men and women, both regular performers and guests, for a chance to earn a title opportunity. Joey Ryan and Swoggle were also surprise competitors in the match.

Eddie Edwards ended up winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.

As you may recall, Rae was part of a four-way match at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas and was seemingly pegged to be one of the stars of AEW’s women’s division. Shortly after, however, she deactivated her social media accounts and pulled out of a few bookings.

AEW President Tony Khan later announced Kylie had been granted her release during a media scrum after Double or Nothing. The reason for her request has not been made public.
