Impact Wrestling Announces Departure Of Taryn Terrell Who Recently Returned To The Company

Image result for Taryn Terrell Returns to Impact

Former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell has been removed from the Fatal 4-Way Knockouts Championship match at Bound for Glory. The match will now feature GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna defending her title against Allie and Gail Kim. The explanation given on commentary was that doctors would not clear Terrell after she was slapped by Kim.

Impact Wrestling announced today that they have mutually parted ways with Terrell. Terrell had just returned to the company this past August at Destination X. Her previous stint with the company lasted from 2012 until January of 2016.

Eddie Kingston and Robbie E. also recently announced their departures from the company.

Roman Reigns And Bray Wyatt Unable To Compete At TLC Due To Illness, Replacements Announced (Kurt Angle, AJ Styles)

illness bray wyatt roman reigns tlc pay per view

WWE announced that Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt will not be competing at TLC on Sunday due to illness … but their replacements should make up for the change.

We noted on Twitter yesterday that rumors of a viral meningitis scare on the Raw roster were very real and that it could affect the pay-per-view.  The company then announced Friday afternoon that the two wrestlers will not be appearing due to “medical issues.”

It’s unclear, however, if both wrestlers have contracted meningitis or if this is just precautionary.

As for their replacements, Kurt Angle will be wrestling in WWE again for the first time in more than 11 years as he teams with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a TLC match against KaneThe MizBraun Strowman and The Bar.

Plus, AJ Styles will be replacing Bray Wyatt to take on “The Demon” Finn Balor.

The creative team learned about the possibility of Roman/Bray not being able to wrestle late in the week and came up with a plethora of replacement options, with Kurt Angle returning seemingly being the best one. Same for AJ vs. Finn.

Taeler Hendrix Says She Has Been Harassed In The Past, Inspires Others To Stand Up

Image result for Taeler Hendrix SHIMMER 2017

Taeler Hendrix of SHIMMER joined the countless women in speaking out against sexual harassment. In an Instagram post this week, Hendrix admits that she too has been a victimized.

“In my life, I’ve met hundreds of women who have been body shamed, raped, sexually assaulted, &/or sexually harassed. I’m sad to say that I’m one of them. Since a young age I’ve been body shamed, drugged, assaulted & harassed.”

Hendrix, who has previously appeared in WWE and ROH, among other promotions, took to social media to bring to light her own struggles. Sharing a picture of herself and Slinky, she begins her post by informing her followers that her pet is also a registered Emotional Support Animal.

“Anyone that knows or follows me knows my puppy Slinky! What they may not know is that he’s my registered Emotional Support Animal! This rescue dog has rescued me. He’s helped me find my smile. He helps me feel protected. He’s been with me through the worst of things. He saw me through to the point in my life where I’d meet my future husband.”

Hendrix continues, standing up for not only herself, but for others who may not have yet found the courage to share their stories.

“We aren’t toys for your pleasure. WE DON’T Want IT & we certainly aren’t the create-a-player function in a video game. Measure us by our heart & gumption. We’re moms, daughters, sisters. I didn’t ask for my body! My body was God given & I’m pretty sure He didn’t give you permission to abuse his creations. I’ll NEVER be taken [advantage] of EVER again. I’m worth more than a paycheck, a job opportunity, etc…I’ll speak up for others who may think they can’t because at one point, I felt like I had no voice either.”

She ends her brave note with a powerful message to those who have also faced victimization.

“Believe that YOU matter. It’s not YOUR fault. It’s time for a change. Make a choice. Be a voice. #MeToo”

Nia Jax — Leave Of Absence Reasoning Confirmed By Alexa Bliss

nia jax, alexa bliss, leave of absence raw

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss took part in an interview today and revealed the reason for her good friend Nia Jax‘s sudden break from the road.

Bliss told the NY Post that she’s spoken with Nia about her decision to take time off and noted that it’s due to her body being tired from life on the road.

She explained, “Whatever she is going through, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a leave of absence. She’s taking some time off because our schedule is very grueling. It’s very, very demanding. There are times where you are run down and your body can’t do it anymore and you get sick or you get injured from it and you get tired.”

Sports Illustrated reported this week that Jax was unhappy with her pay scale and creative. For clarification, a leave of absence is the correct wording. It means approved time off from work.

Bliss continued, “So, I feel like everyone needs a reset every once in a while. In NXT I took a few resets and it was never like public knowledge, but we all need them. We all take them once in a while. I am happy when she comes back. I feel like everyone needs that refresher week or refresher moment.”

Jim Ross Likely Re-Signing With AXS TV

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears that Jim Ross will be renewing his AXS TV deal for another year to do commentary on NJPW shows. AXS wants to keep him and he wants to keep doing it, so as long as WWE doesn’t block the deal, which they haven’t had an issue with so far, he will be staying. Ross is not working any television for WWE right now, and is on a limited date deal, and due to the U.K. show not happening, which is what he was brought in for, he hasn’t worked for WWE since the Mae Young Classic.

Backstage Updates On Why Neville Is Unhappy With WWE, His Wrestling Future

Related image

We’ve noted how Neville’s WWE status is up in the air after he reportedly walked out of RAW in Indianapolis earlier this month after finding out he was scheduled to lose a non-title match to then-WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore that night. Kalisto ended up winning the title from Enzo that night but sources report that the plan has been to get the title back on Enzo, possibly at this Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view. There were conflicting reports on if Neville really walked out of RAW but multiple sources confirmed that he was not happy with the company and that he had pushed for his release.

It was also reported that Neville’s unhappiness goes back a few months as he was upset over his WrestleMania 33 Kickoff pre-show win over Austin Aries being left off the WrestleMania DVD along with the other pre-show matches. This caused him to miss out on royalties from what is usually the best-selling WWE DVD of the year. It was also noted that The King of The Cruiserweights was upset over other issues. While Neville remains under contract with WWE, it was reported that he was not being factored into any creative plans and he was not being booked for any upcoming events.

In an update, Sports Illustrated reports that Neville was frustrated by the direction of his character, the lack of pay-offs and the rough WWE life on the road. Neville has reportedly been “miserable in WWE” since January of this year and the walkout came nine months later than expected by many people close to the situation.

It appears Neville’s decision may be influenced in-part by Austin Aries, who left the company on amicable terms earlier this year. The SI report notes that Neville learned Aries would be making more in the next six weeks on the indies than Neville would in the same timeframe while with WWE. We noted before that Neville had pushed for his WWE release with the idea of working the indies and making a name for himself there.

Regarding his match being left off the WrestleMania 33 DVD, not only was Neville upset about missing out on the pay but he was said to be “infuriated” that the company “would disregard his service and value” after being as dedicated as he was. Neville reportedly felt that he was viewed as “nothing more than a very talented ‘get-over guy’ used to enhance” other Superstars.

No word yet on if WWE will grant Neville his release but SI reports that he is hoping or success in Ring of Honor or New Japan Pro Wrestling. WWE could grant the release or make Neville wait until his deal expires, or possibly explore a breach of contract, but SI adds that the walkout did upset Vince McMahon.
