E! & WWE is extending the debut season of the new hit series Total Divas for an additional 6 episodes. Total Divas had a series high of 1.7 million viewers in it’s last episode this past Sunday.

Raw Recap: August 12 2013
Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett: Raw GM Brad Maddox was Special Guest Referee: Barrett rolled Bryan up & Maddox made a fast 3 count. Barrett got the win. After the match Bryan backed Maddox into the corner & went after him but Maddox was able to get out of the way & escaped the ring.
Damien Sandow vs Randy Orton: Cody Rhodes did commentary during the match. Sandow handcuffed his Money In The Bank briefcase to ring. Later in the match Rhodes left the announce table & went over & tried to get the briefcase. Sandow argued with Rhodes. Orton took advantage of the distraction & hit Sandow with a RKO for the win.
The Shield Backstage, Seth Rollins said the old guard has got to go, it’s time for a new generation to rise up & that they are the emerging leaders of that generation. Rollins said we’re younger, hungrier & better. Roman Reigns made a challenge to anybody who wants to step up to try & take the Tag Team Titles from them. Dean Ambrose talked about tonight’s Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for his United States Championship. Ambrose said nobody in the Battle Royal could beat him because he is the unbeatable Champion in this industry. Ambrose said CM Punk is a catch phrase & that he is the best in the world. Ambrose said John Cena has a trophy & that he is the real WWE Champion because his Championship is the one everyone runs from. Ambrose said if Andre The Giant’s Ghost isn’t in the Battle Royal then he isn’t losing at Summer Slam. “Believe in The Shield.”

Backstage Josh Mathews with CM Punk. Mathews asked Punk about his match tonight with Paul Heyman. Punk said there isn’t a man alive that is afraid of Heyman in a one on one fight. Punk said last week Brock Lesnar told Heyman to say something stupid & it appears that he did but Heyam isn’t stupid. Punk said it’s all a chess game to Heyman. punk said he has a good feeling that he will see a little bit of Lesnar tonight. Punk said Lesnar likes to say the beast is the best. Punk said when it’s all said & done & when everything is on the line the best is the best.
Natalya & The Great Khali vs AJ Lee & Big E Langston: Natalya made AJ tap out with a Sharpshooter but it appears the referee missed up because he didn’t count it. Natalya went to the ref to get her hand raised but he didn’t do it. Natalya put the Sharpshooter on AJ again & AJ tapped out & this time the ref counted it. Natalya & Khali wins. After the match Big E attacked Khali from behind & Big E grabbed Hornswoggle & tossed him to the mat & kicked him out the ring & when Big E turned around Khali nailed him with a big overhead chop.
Mr. Vince McMahon came to the ring & talked about the match earlier between Daniel Bryan & Wade Barrett. Vince brought out Brad Maddox & asked him why he appointed himself the referee for the match. Maddox said Daniel Bryan matches tent to get out of hand & he thought the WWE Universe would appreciate an authority figure who has the guts to make the right decision. Vince said you have to admit that was a fast count. Maddox said he can admit to being a little excited it’s the first time he has had on the referee shirt in a while. Maddox said it wasn’t intentional & he did the best he could. Vince said there is no need to apologize if he did the best he could everybody makes mistakes. Maddox said he wants a second chance. Vince said a second chance at what. Maddox said he wants to be the official for the Cena & Bryan match at Summer Slam. Vince asked if he would be impartial & call it right down the middle. Maddox said yes. Vince said would you stop calling Bryan names like troll & dwarf & stop talking about Bryan’s toothpick like physique. Maddox said yes. Vince started to announce Maddox as the ref for the Cena vs Bryan match. Triple H interrupted & came to the ring. Vince said to Maddox that Triple H hasn’t been the same since he cut his hair. Triple H said given the importance of this match Sunday it seems to him that there is a whole lot more on the line than the WWE Championship & he agrees with Vince that there needs to be somebody who can take control of the match, somebody impartial who will call it right down the line & somebody who has the guts to do what is right & not be intimidated by anyone. Triple H said he doesn’t think Vince is referring to Maddox, it seem an awful lot like Vince is referring to him. Triple H laid out Maddox with a Pedigree. Vince was mad. Triple H will be the special guest referee for the Cena & Bryan match at Summer Slam.
Kane vs Titus O’Neil: Kane got the win. After the match the lights went out & The Wyatt Family came to the ring. Bray Wyatt sat in the rocking chair & Erick Rowans & Luke Harper went to attack Kane in the ring but when the light came on Kane wasn’t there he was up the isle. Kane set off his ring pyro. Wyatt just laughed.
Backstage Josh Mathews with The Bella Twins. Showed what happened last week when Natalya slapped Brie. Mathews asked The Bella’s about the attention rising as they battle for control with Natalya. Brie said Nattie can’t fight for anything because they’re in complete control of the Diva’s division. Natalya came in & made a challenge to Brie for Summer Slam. Natalya said Brie can bring Nikki & that wannabe Jessica Rabbit over there. Eva Marie walked in & said what did you call me. Natalya said she is bringing some friends of her own. The Funkadactyls walked in. Natalya said Brie did a good job covering the whelp on her face from when she slapped her. Brie said you can totally see yours & slapped Natalya.
Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi Kingston: Del Rio won by submission with the Cross Arm Breaker.

Miz TV: The Miz’s guest was Daniel Bryan & John Cena: Miz asked their thoughts on Triple H being the referee. Bryan said he is glad somebody stood up to Vince McMahon & now him & Cena can have the match that they & the WWE Universe deserves. Cena said he can’t think of abetter person than Triple H to keep order & make sure it’s called right down the middle. Miz said last week what seemed to be a friendly rivalry turned very personal & asked Cena what are his real issues with Bryan. Cena said it isn’t like that the issue is simply they both want to be WWE champion. Cena said Bryan will put up one hell of a fight. Miz told Bryan that hell of a fight is Cena code for your going to lose & it’s obvious Cena doesn’t respect him & chose him to ride his wave of popularity & give him an easy win. Bryan threatened to hit The Miz in the mouth if he doesn’t shut up. Bryan said he doesn’t get why Cena & people like him think he can only put up a hell of a fight. Bryan said last week Cena came out here & did what he does best & made some explosive remarks & got the WWE Universe on their feet. Bryan said Cena saw the red light on & grabbed the spotlight & that is why he doesn’t watch television. Bryan said it’s because of Cena & people like Cena that are more style than substance & are in it for the fame & glory not for the wrestling. Bryan talked about how his t-shirt is a parody of Cena. Bryan said Cena is a parody of wrestling. Bryan said he doesn’t want to be a parody he wants to be WWE Champion for one reason when he steps in the ring everyone will know that there is nobody better than Daniel Bryan. Cena pulled of his shirt & said Bryan you almost got me parody is real strong. Cena said he isn’t a parody he is out here because of all of this(pointing to the crowd). Cena talked about how the fans chant Yes! or No! because they believe in Daniel Bryan & that empowers you to show them that you believe in them as much as they believe in you. Cena said that’s what the WWE is about not about grabbing the spotlight & Cena went on about The fans choosing their favorite Superstars. Cena said saying this is just a t-shirt is like saying the American flag is just a piece of cloth. Cena said it’s not about the cloth it’s about the message it represents. Cena talked about being loyal to his fans & fighting for them. Cena said he has shown up everyday for the last 12 years & busted his *ss for the fans. Cena talked bout how he meet a Make-A-Wish kid earlier & his dad thanked him for the hope & inspiration. Cena said Bryan should be proud of all he has accomplished here but be smart enough to know that he is proud of what he has done here ^ who he has become. Cena said he has become a man who has spent the last 12 years wrestling around the world sometime they cheer sometimes they boo but he stood in for a dozen years in front of the most hostile environments in front of the biggest names this business has to offer & the difference between Bryan & him is not parody everyone of those matches he did while holding this(WWE Championship). Cena said please think that he is a joke or parody because everybody else thought the same thing & he beat them all a list that includes Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Batista, Randy Orton, CM Punk & The Rock. Bryan said you talk about these people like they’re better than me. Cena Bryan doesn’t belong in that class. Cena said respect isn’t given it’s earned. Cena said he will only respect Bryan if he beats him Sunday for the Championship. Bryan said Cena doesn’t respect him & isn’t treating this match like his matches with Shawn Michaels & The Rock because he respected them. Bryna said Cena has held the WWE Championship 11 times so how can he understand his hunger to hold it just once. Bryan said for Cena it’s just another Summer Slam but for him it’s biggest match of his life. Bryan talked about a custom in Japan of slapping one across the face to fire them up for big matches. Bryan said he wishes he could do that to Cena but he can’t because Cena isn’t a wrestler & he doesn’t deserve it. Cena motioned for Bryan to slap him then slapped Bryan. Bryan laughed. Cena said come on. Bryan said you don’t deserve it. Triple H came to the ring & got between them. Randy Orton came out & stood on the stage holding up his Money In The Bank briefcase.
Fandango VS R-Truth: They ended up having a dance off then got in a fight. The match never got started.
Backstage Paul Heyman with Curtis Axel getting ready for his match with CM Punk. Heyman said he is having second thoughts.
United States Championship #1Contender Battle Royal Match: Rob Van Dam, Tensai, Brodus Clay, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre, Ryback, Justin Gabriel, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, The Great Khali, R-Truth, Fandango, Darren Young, Titus O’Neil, Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, Mark Henry: The last 3 in the match was Ryback, Henry & RVD. Henry & RVD eliminated Ryback. RVD eliminated Henry for the win to become #1 contender & will face Dean Ambrose for the United States Championship Sunday on the Summer slam kickoff show. After the match The Shield came down & surrounded RVD & Henry in the ring. The Big Show came to the ring & The Shield retreated.
Paul Heyman VS CM Punk: Heyman came to the ring & said do you here them Punk your worshippers are calling for their hero. Heyman said he doesn’t blame Punk for everything that has happened he blames the WWE Universe. Heyman said the fans took Punk away from him so tonight he will take the fans worship of their hero away from them. Heyman talked about hearing that this is a trap. Heyman said it’s a trap. Heyman said it’s an conspiracy & he has a co-conspirator. Heyman brought out Brock Lesnar. He showed a video of Lesnar beating up Punk. Heyman said Punk can play the hero & come out here & fight him & Lesnar. Heyman said heroes are stupid. Heyman said Punk doesn’t have to play the hero &tuck his tail between his legs & walk out the back & live to fight another day. Heyman said what is ii going to be Punk are you going to be the smart coward or are you going to play the stupid hero. CM Punk’s music is played & Punk came in from behind & nailed Lesnar with a video camera he took from a cameraman. He hit Lesnar 2 more time with it. Lesnar rolled out of the ring. Punk dove through the ropes onto Lesnar. Punk got a chair & hit Lesnar with it twice. Punk then set his sights on Heyman. Heyman ranup the ramp & Punk followed after him. Curtis Axel came out to save Heyman. Punk hit Axel with the chair & tossed him into the led screen on the stage & laid out Axel with a GTS. Punk stared down at Lesnar who was still down at ringside. Punk yelled “I am the best in the world.”

Sheamus To Be Out 4 To 6 Months
WWE.com is reporting that Sheamus suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder during the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. He will be having surgery next week & he will be out 4 to 6 months.
Raw Recap: August 5 2013
Stephanie McMahon was in the ring. She talked about giving Daniel Bryan a makeover. She showed footage from the makeover. Stephanie introduced Bryan to the ring. Bryan came out with his hair slicked back & wearing a suit. Stephanie said he looked sharp & turned the mic over to him & left. Bryan thanked Stephanie. Bryan said he doesn’t think this what the company actually wants. Bryan said they want somebody who is jacked up wears cargo shorts & bright yellow t-shirts. Bryan said they want somebody like John Cena. Bryan said he respect Cena, he picked him as his Summer Slam opponent because Cena he is the best contender but Cena doesn’t think he can beat him. Bryan said how can someone as lowly as him beat Superstar like Cena. Bryan said he can because Cena is a entertainer & that he is a wrestler. Fans chanted Yes! Bryan said Cena has been up here the past 10 years in sold out arenas & Cena hasn’t seen the holes that he has drug himself out of because he is a wrestler. Bryan said if Cena gets fired tomorrow he goes back to his mansion & his multi million dollar lifestyle & will never wrestle again. Bryan said if he gets fired tomorrow you will see him in every armory, gymnasium & every little dirt box filled with 30 people & a wrestling ring because he loves wrestling. Bryan said he will dress up in this suit for now, comb his hair back for now, he will do what they want for now because at Summer Slam he is going to make Cena tap out. Bryan yelled Yes! Yes! Mr. Vince McMahon came to the ring. Bryan sticks out his hand for a handshake but Vince disses him & said he is just messing with him. Vince jokes around with Bryan about how he looks. Vince said he doesn’t want Cena to be WWE Champion but he wants Bryan as WWE Champion even less. Vince said he is starting to warm up to Bryan. Vince said WWE has never had a dwarf as WWE Champion or someone with muscularity of a toothpick or a face of a gargoyle. Vince said Bryan looks like a miniature Mick Foley. Vince said there is one more thing we need to do for this makeover. Vince said if Bryan wants to be WWE Champion & have his support he has to shave off his beard. Vince had a barber chair brought out. Vince said if the fans truly want Bryan to be champion then Bryan will do want he says. Vince said to Bryan if you want to be WWE Champion get in the chair. Bryan pulled off his suit coat & got In the chair. Vince brought out Wade Barrett to be the barber because Barrett keeps a well groomed beard. Barrett got out the clippers to shave Bryan’s beard. Bryan headbutted Barrett & put Barrett in the chair & shaved off half of his beard & tossed Barrett over the barricade & Bryan went up ramp chanting Yes! Bryan said to Vince you want me to change I say No! Bryan said he is going to be who he has always been & he is going to be WWE Champion. Bryan took of his shirt & tie & he had on a Cean like t-shirt that said the beard is here. Bryan said Cena says the champion is here well guess what the beard is here. Vince was ticked & threw a fit in the ring.
The MiZ who will be the host for Summer Slam came out to do commentary for the next match.
Rob Van Dam vs Alberto Del Rio. Ricardo Rodriguez was back with Del Rio. Ricardo got involved in the match & placed the bucket in the corner. RVD tossed Del Rio headfirst into that corner & bucket. RVD got the win. After the match Del Rio attacked Ricardo hitting him with the bucket. Del Rio then on the outside of the ring place Ricardo’s head between the steel steps & ring post & dropkicked the steps smashing Ricardo’s head.
Cody Rhodes was in the ring. Rhodes said he has a gift for Damien Sandow. He showed footage from the past couple of weeks including when he tossed Sandow’s Money In The Bank briefcase into the Gulf of Mexico. Back in the ring Rhodes had the briefcase he tossed into the Gulf & it was wet &had seaweed on it. Rhodes told Sandow to come out & get it. Sandow came out said put the case down & eave he isn’t falling for this. Rhodes put the briefcase down & left the ring. Sandow came to the ring to get it but Rhodes came back in & attacked Sandow. Sandow retreated from the ring. Rhodes opened the briefcase & dumped out the contract & tossed the briefcase out of the ring. Sandow yelled that was his contract.
Ryback vs Mark Henry: Henry won by count out because Ryback refused to get back in the ring & walked away.
The Bella Twins backstage talked about their show Total Divas. Eva Marie walked up & told Brie nice win last week & that she made Natty look silly. Natalya walked up . Brie told Natalya that her being allowed on their show is a slap in the face. Natalya said actually this is a slap in the face & slapped Brie across the face & walked off.
John Cena came to the ring & said he is used to being a target. Cena said sometimes he has to stand face to face in the ring with a true fan favorite. Cena said a lot of you chose Daniel Bryan. Cena said he heard what Bryan had to say & said there was a lot of truth in it but also a lot of ignorance. Cena said Bryan wants to talk about the way he looks & judge him for the way he is. Cena said Bryan is just like everybody else. Cena said he doesn’t change for Bryan, he doesn’t change for no one & said “always has been me, always will be me.” Cena said Bryan wants to talk about hard times. Cena said he came back to work 24 hours after breaking his neck & said his elbow looks like a football & he is still here. Cena said Bryan wants to glorify wrestling in auditoriums & gymnasiums because that is where he is more comfortable & where he rather be. Cena said Bryan is right if he gets fired tomorrow he will never wrestle again but it’s only because he loves the WWE & would never tarnish wearing this Championship. Cena said the WWE is like the NFL & in the WWE NFL stands for not for long if you keep glorifying your past & you don’t look at what’s in front of you. Cena talked about how Bryan said he couldn’t wrestle. Cena said millions of people say it all the time & are saying right now. Cena said he has held this Championship 11 times & has gone toe to toe with the greatest & walked out with his head held high. Cena said you don’t get lucky 11 times. Cena said go ahead & underestimate him. Fans chanted boring. Cena said it sounds like the people want to see him & Bryan fight right now. Fans chanted Yes! Cena said Bryan doesn’t realize that if he wins then he deserves it but if he loses the next day he has to wake up in the mirror & admit to himself that he just wasn’t that good. Cena said just remember what he has been saying for the past 6 months, “our time is now & the champ is here.” Randy Orton came out with his Money In The Bank briefcase. Orton said Cena is always aware of the target on his back but never fully aware of the target starring him in the face. Orton said it doesn’t matter who walks out of Summer Slam with the WWE Title, what matters is this(Orton holds up the briefcase). Orton said it ultimately guarantees that he becomes WWE Champion. Orton said it could happen at Summer Slam or the night after but the point he is trying to make is the champ is here. The Shield came out & surrounded the ring. Daniel Bryan came to the ring to join Cena & Orton. Raw GM Brad Maddox came out & made a 6 man tag match for tonight.
Tons of Funk vs Erick Rowan & Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family: Rowan & Harper got the win. After the match Bray Wyatt came into the ring & kissed Brodus on the head & laid him out. Wyatt said the devils favorite demon is no monster he is an illusion he is a fairy tale. Wyatt said the demon is a lie & that he is much different he is the man of a thousand truths & he is Bray Wyatt the eater of worlds & he is forever. Wyatt said Kane follow the buzzards. Kane’s pyro went off on the stage & Kane appeared on the big screen. Kane said when you pull the wings off of buzzards for fun they’re impossible to follow. Kane said to Wyatt that he doesn’t condemn hi intentions but he does see through his haze of cryptic words. Kane said Wyatt is here to maim, disfigure & mutilate everyone who crosses his path. Kane said he likes that he does the same thing but he doesn’t do it to spread a message he does it for his own personal amusement. Kane said at Summer Slam you will find out why he is the devil’s favorite demon because no one does the devil’s work better than he does & at Summer Slam you will see the reason why your family won’t be able to save you, no one will be able to save you from inside a ring of fire. Kane set off his ring pyro. Wyatt just laughed.
Josh Mathews backstage with CM Punk. Mathews asked Punk about his match tonight with Curtis Axel. Punk said Axel’s father is somebody he has a lot of admiration for & his former manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Punk said Mr. Perfect still had of mind of his own but his son Curtis Axel has such blind loyalty to Paul Heyman it’s going to get him a beating tonight. Punk said he is coming for Heyman. Mathews asked Punk about his match at Summer Slam with Brock Lesnar. Punk said it will forever be known as the night the beast got neutered. Punk said Brock Lesnar loses the match & Paul Heyman loses everything.
Kaitlyn vs Layla: AJ Lee came out & distracted Kaitlyn. Layla got the win. Layla & AJ held hands & skipped around the ring.
Christian vs Heath Slater: Christian got the win.
CM Punk vs Curtis Axel: Before the match started Punk went after Paul Heyman & Heyman ran to the back. Heyman came back down after Axel got control of the match. Punk got his hands on Heyman & Brock Lesnar came to the ring. Axel pulled Punk out of the ring & Punk nailed Axel with the GTS. Punk got a chair & went after Lesnar but Lesnar ripped the chair from Punk & tossed the chair into the ring. Punk & Lesnar went at on the outside of the ring. Brock rolled Punk into the ring. Lesnar went for a F5 but Punk escaped & picked up the chair & nailed Lesnar with it. Punk went after Heyman with the chaie as Heyman begged. Lesnar stopped Punk & nailed him with the F5. Heyman told Lesnar to hurt Punk. Lesnar hit Punk across the back with the chair 3 times.
Renee Young backstage with Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar & Curtis Axel. She asked Heyman for a comment on what just happened. Lesnar said that’s the best of the best that this world has to offer. Lesnar said he is the beast & the best in the world. Lesnar told Heyman to say something stupid. Heyman challenged CM Punk to a fight next week against him.
Fandango vs Kofi Kingston: Kofi got the win.
Triple H backstage on the phone, Stephanie came in crying. She said her dad bit her head off about the Daniel Bryan makeover disaster. Triple H said Vince has lost it & said Vince doesn’t care if he throws away Summer Slam. Triple H got angry & said he is tired of it & he isn’t going to watch this ship go down because of him. Triple H said he doesn’t know what Vince is going to do at Summer Slam but he is going to stop it.
Zeb Colter & The Real Americans(Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) in the ring. Colter insulted Green Bay & said for everyone to rise & put their hand over their hearts & say in a loud clear voice with them “we the people.”
The Real Americans vs The Uso’s: Real Americans got the win.
Dolph Ziggler vs Big E Langston: Kaitlyn came down & went after AJ. They ended up in the ring & Ziggler tried to get them out. Langston took advantage of the distraction & laid out Ziggler & got the win.
Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton & John Cena vs The Shield: Bryan, Orton & Cena won by DQ. After the match Bryan was celebrating by leading the fans in a Yes! chant when Orton came up from behind & nailed Bryan with a RKO. The Shield came back in the ring & Cena & Orton worked together & cleared The Shield from the ring. Orton then nailed Cena with a RKO. Orton went & got his Money In The Bank briefcase & a referee & went back to the ring but before he could cash it in The Shield came back into the ring. Orton walked away as The Shield took out Cena & Bryan. Roman Reign nailed Cena with a spear & they delivered a triple powerbomb to Bryan.
RAW Segment of the Week: Layla vs Kaitlyn With Jason Ayers As Referee
The ongoing saga of AJ and Kaitlyn added a new chapter during this match between Kaitlyn and Layla. With AJ distracting her old friend and current enemy, the beauty from England nails Kaitlyn with the “bombshell” to get the pin.
On a side note, the referee of this match was Jason Ayers, recently moved to the WWE from the NXT roster. Ayers got his start as a referee in HPW an Indy promotion that DTRT Wrestling covers regularly.
