Maryse Reveals Diagnosis Of Very Rare Pre-Cancer Of The Ovaries

Maryse, the wife of WWE Superstar The Miz, took to Instagram to reveal that she was diagnosed with a rare pre-cancer of the ovaries.

She noted that her doctor found found and removed 11 implants around her uterus, ovaries, and all connective tissues around the organs in my abdominal cavity.

Maryse further said that if the tumors were cancerous, the survival rate is less than a year.

You can read Maryse’s full Instagram post below:

“Not all super heroes wear capes

Here’s a superhero I want to take the time to highlight. Her name is Thais Aliabadi, Oby-Gyn, in LA. She saved my life.

I couldn’t be more blessed to have crossed paths in life with this brilliant, uber talented, patient, attentive and genuinely caring woman!

A little background on what happened; I had been suffering from severe abdominal distention and swelling to the point where I would look 6 months pregnant. Lots of GI issues, including sibo, multiple rounds of antibiotics, extreme fatigue and just wasn’t feeling like myself! For the past year, my symptoms would come in flare ups and it progressively got worse – it became chronic.

I saw countless doctors in different fields, but no diagnosis. No one could tell me what’s happening. I went down an incredibly long list of testing, from colonoscopy/endoscopy/pill cam endoscopy, mri’s, ultrasounds, ct scans, blood tests just to name a few and often would be told that its probably hormonal and or just something by body is allergic too. I even had my entire house tested for mold. I was told to let it go – that it would figure itself out with time. That I’m just too impatient and making myself crazy over this! I would just not quit on trying to figure it out!

From the start when I met Thais at her office in LA, she listened to my story, truly listened. She heard me (a doctor’s quality that makes a tremendous difference) and agreed that we have to push to get to the bottom of this. She always said “No one knows your body better than you.” She proposed we go in there and find out. I was ready.

A week ago I went into surgery with Dr. Thais. She performed a Laparoscopy surgery for what we thought at the time was potentially Endometriosis disease!

She found and removed 11 implants around my uterus, ovaries, and all connective tissues around the organs in my abdominal cavity. These were sent to pathology for testing.

So what happens next? I am scheduled for total hysterectomy surgery in 4 weeks. My uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, omentum will be removed and will get abdominal lymph nodes removed for staging.

I’m remaining positive and determined to beat this thing. There is only one option and it’s winning this battle! As a mom of two young daughters, I have too.

Let’s bring light to a huge woman healthcare issue here. Women get so conditioned to believe that is it normal to suffer, most often in silence. Told to stop being a cry baby. That it must be hormonal imbalances, just anxiety or just all in

Told to stop being a cry baby. That it must be hormonal imbalances, just anxiety or just all in your head. This is not normal. This cycle has to be broken! If you get dismissed by a doctor, go see a new one until you get the help you need! Advocacy is the key. Advocate for yourself and keep pushing! Follow your instincts. Never ever underestimate your gut feelings!

Thank you to @drthaisaliabadi and her amazing team of nurses. You guys truly make a difference for so many women!!

I have an angel on my shoulder protecting me, THANK YOU DAD—”

WWE’s Jade Cargill Flies Off The Top Rope In Mtn. Dew Super Bowl 2024 Commercial – Backstage News On WWE Reaction

Fresh off a riveting debut in this year’s women’s Royal Rumble, former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill is now the face of one of WWE’s sponsorships.

Cargill was in the latest Mountain Dew ad, featuring “Emily The Criminal” star Aubrey Plaza. Plaza is shown taking in a multitude of jobs while drinking the beverage, one of which is pro wrestler, which sees Cargill leap off the top rope, attempting a Frog Splash on Plaza, though viewers don’t see her land.

As it stands, Cargill has only wrestled one match for WWE, the Royal Rumble, since signing with the company in September after her AEW contract expired earlier that year. Cargill was paraded around WWE television, especially “WWE NXT,” following her signing but didn’t debut in the ring until the Rumble, and also made appearances on “WWE Raw” and “WWE SmackDown.”

WWE and Mountain Dew have been promotional partners for some time now, with the two companies famously holding a Mountain Dew Pitch Black match between LA Knight and the late Bray Wyatt at last year’s Royal Rumble.

Knight went on to be the face of WWE’s sponsorship deal with Slim Jim. The Slim Jim sponsorship was nearly in jeopardy after allegations of sex trafficking were leveled at WWE and Vince McMahon by former employee Janel Grant. Slim Jim seemingly returned after Vince McMahon resigned from all of his duties at WWE and TKO Group Holdings, sponsoring the fatal 4-way match between AJ Styles, LA Knight, Randy Orton and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.

According to PWInsider, WWE are looking to place Cargill on the “Smackdown” brand in the lead-up to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. Whether this means she will remain on the brand post-WrestleMania remains to be seen, as the company usually holds its annual draft a few weeks after. However, the recent publicity Cargill has gotten from appearing in the commercial has led WWE to believe she would attract more eyes to the product if she were on “Smackdown.” PWInsider also reported that WWE were very happy with Cargill’s performance in the commercial, claiming it has added prestige to both Cargill and WWE itself.

WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart ‘Embarrassed’ He Thought So Highly Of Vince McMahon

As details of former WWE CEO Vince McMahon’s alleged misconduct continue to emerge, more and more performers within the industry are sharing their opinions on the matter, such as WWE’s own Seth Rollins. Speaking to Slate, former WWE Champion Bret Hart also spoke out, sharing his disgust at the claims.

“I’m going to speak my truth,” Hart said. “I’m not worried about Vince’s feelings. He’s never cared about mine.”

Hart said that he’s aware McMahon is getting “his head [kicked] around the parking lot,” as he put it, but the former WWE star doesn’t feel bad. According to Hart, he was made aware a few months ago that some disturbing allegations regarding McMahon were likely to come out soon. Upon reading the text messages from the lawsuit, Hart confirmed that they sounded like McMahon’s way of speaking, and stated that McMahon is only part of the problem.

“I don’t think this is the only incident of this kind of predatory behavior,” Hart continued. “I think you’ll find that it’s everywhere in [WWE].”

In the past, McMahon has used his money and power to largely stay out of trouble, with Hart stating that the former CEO was “the Teflon guy.” Hart acknowledged that McMahon had a massive impact on his career and that he once respected him because of that.

“Now it’s tainted,” Hart said. “I’m embarrassed that I thought so highly of him.”

Hart also addressed the fact that he had once publicly discredited Rita Chatterton, a former WWE referee who accused McMahon of raping her in the 1980s. The WWE Hall of Famer says that he previously believed McMahon had too much at stake to do something as reprehensible as what Chatterton accused him of, but Hart has now come around.

“I apologized from the bottom of my heart,” Hart said. “I said, ‘I believe that what happened to you happened to you. And I apologize. I was wrong.'”

With WWE’s involvement in the death of his brother, Owen, as well as McMahon’s own treatment of Hart in 1997, Hart acknowledged that he’s always had some issues with McMahon. However, he had grown to respect him.

“Now, knowing what kind of a weirdo he became, I have absolutely zero respect for him,” Hart continued. “I do not think I could ever shake his hand if he extended it. Too creepy.”

McMahon stepped down from his position as the Executive Chairman of the TKO Board of Directors last month. The former executive is currently under investigation by federal prosecutors. Additionally, the defense attorney for John Laurinaitis, who is also part of the lawsuit involving McMahon, has seemingly taken up a strategy that attempts to implicate McMahon as the only individual responsible for misconduct.

Cody Rhodes Will Face Roman Reigns For Undisputed WWE Universal Title At WrestleMania 40

Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL.

The WrestleMania 40 press conference in Las Vegas was nothing if not explosive. For the entirety of the men’s segments, chants of “we want Cody”, “let’s go Rocky”, and “Rocky sucks” reverberated off of the walls of the T-Mobile arena.

Roman Reigns made the first move by announcing that he wants to face Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Philadelphia. “The Rock” came out immediately after to greet Las Vegas, and was met by a swelling wave of boo’s. Johnson stood silent for several minutes as the audience continuously hijacked the segment with chants, boo’s, and off-handed comments. Once the crowd offered a moment of quiet, Johnson formally welcomed the many media journalists in attendance, and introduced them to the “Cody Crybabies”.

Johnson presented a picture of the extensive Anoa’i family tree, and spoke about how Amituana’i Anoa’i and Fanene Anderson (formerly known as Peter Maivia), Reigns’ and Johnson’s grandfathers respectively, tied together their lineages in a blood oath to become aiga, or “family”. Johnson leveraged the history of the Anoa’i clan and their contributions to professional wrestling in order to validate a match between him and Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

Rhodes made his presence known with little introduction, and confronted Reigns and Johnson directly. He chastised Reigns for seizing the Royal Rumble victor’s power to choose any champion at WrestleMania. Rhodes reclaimed that power, and told Reigns, Johnson, Seth Rollins, and the entire world that he would be meeting Reigns in Philadelphia for WrestleMania 40.

Reigns attempted to invoke Rhodes’ father and his forgotten legacy to demoralize Rhodes. “The American Nightmare” shot back, and invoked both Reigns’ and Johnson’s family-based reasoning. He claimed that the Reigns did not care about family, given his treatment of Jey Uso, and that Reigns was just a “meal ticket”. He also criticized the reasoning behind a match with Reigns and Johnson, claiming that the two men were fighting to be the head of the table, but neither had “cooked”, or performed, in two years. Rhodes finished with scathing vitriol, and told Reigns and Johnson that their grandfathers, should they be alive, would be “ashamed” of where their grandsons were.

Johnson did not take too kindly to Rhodes’ comments, and reminded Rhodes that any attack on Reigns’ lineage was an attack on his (Johnson’s). Johnson physically attacked Rhodes, and it took the efforts of multiple WWE officials to separate all involved parties. The fans chanted and whooped as Rhodes, Johnson, and Rollins hurled expletives at each other, and Rhodes was escorted off the stage.

While “The Rock” has expressed a strong desire to be an active participant in Reigns’ WrestleMania 40 plans, his official place in the match has yet to be determined. As of writing, Rhodes has officially chosen to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Booker T Addresses Being Sidelined With Medical Procedure

Booker T, on his latest Hall Of Fame podcast, talked about missing WWE NXT Vengeance Day and being replaced by Wade Barrett due to a medical issue.

He will also miss a few weeks of NXT TV. He said,

“First of all, I want to thank everybody for all of the support and all the well wishes, telling me to get well and get back on track. I’m going to get back as soon as I can. I’m going to take a couple weeks off, but rest assured, I will be back live and and in living color, doing it like it’s supposed to be done, but I’m going to take these days off to relax. I’m relaxing.

“I had a medical procedure. I don’t like putting my business out there. If I was dying, I’ll let you guys know. I ain’t dying, I ain’t dead yet or anything like that. It is something that’s going to keep me down for a couple of weeks. I don’t like being down. I like being on the go and working out. That’s been my thing for forever, being able to get up in the morning and being able to train. Before I go to bed at night, getting in the gym to train. This last month or so, I haven’t been able to do that. Right now, I’m on my way back to getting to that point. I feel good. I’m sore as hell. I feel good. I hate I missed Vengeance Day. The action was action packed. I was sitting and listening, and it just didn’t have the same feel. Wade [Wade Barrett] didn’t have enough rhythm, especially to his cadence. As far as the show goes, awesome show.”

Is The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Still Planned For WrestleMania 40?

Here is the very latest on the plans involving The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Please just keep in mind while reading this that the situation is fluid at this point and more will be known on Thursday at the press conference in Las Vegas, NV.

According to a report from Pwinsider, multiple sources claim that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is still “100% the plan” for WrestleMania 40 despite the strong negative reaction from fans online.

The report states that the match is a “done deal” and is likely “contractually locked in” due to the fact that this is one of the things that was agreed upon with The Rock being appointed to the TKO Board of Directors.

One source went as far as to say there is “no scenario” where The Rock is not facing Roman Reigns short of something like an injury happening. Could they do The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 (Night One) and Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns (Night Two)? Of course – but that wasn’t the plan as of Monday afternoon.

It is said that Brian Gewirtz, who works closely with The Rock, is expected to be at all major WWE events going forward. This includes the Elimination Chamber 2024 pay-per-view event. He’s also expected to be part of the creative process heading into WrestleMania 40.

While it is said that WWE “definitely took notice” of the reaction Cody Rhodes received, there are several in the company who have pushed for WWE to lean into the situation. The belief internally is that this will all make Rhodes a stronger babyface by playing up the fan support for him. With that being said, there were never any plans to turn The Rock heel or have it come off as if he was taking Rhodes’ spot in a malicious way.

The company can obviously adjust things week-by-week in order to “make it make sense,” as we’re still 61 days away from WrestleMania 40 so there’s plenty of time to change the fan perception.

There are some who believe that with the initial shock of The Rock’s appearance wearing off, the creative team can now work on building everyone as strongly as possible going into the “Showcase of the Immortals.”

It is said that there isn’t a single person in WWE who wants this to hurt Rhodes, as they know how important he is to the company. This includes live events and merchandise sales.

While there were some reports of Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns in a World Heavyweight Title vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Title match taking place at SummerSlam 2024, that is all speculation at this point. That would be six months out and creative is not even being discussed for that show at this point.

Finally, Triple H retweeted the following video of NFL star George Kittle after RAW, seemingly indicating that The Rock could be the special guest referee for a match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at WrestleMamia 40. They’re certainty keeping the fans guessing these days as they attempt to pivot away from the negative press involving Vince McMahon.

Cody Rhodes Responds To Fans Booing The Rock Over WWE WrestleMania Match: ‘Trust Me’

It’s only been a few days since Cody Rhodes indicated he’d be passing up a WrestleMania rematch against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, seemingly ceding his spot to The Rock, but the wrestling world has been absolutely on fire over the notion since and Rhodes hasn’t said much in the interim. Tonight, following chants of “Rocky sucks” and “We want Cody” as he interacted with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre on “WWE Raw,” Rhodes took to X to offer fans a bit of comfort.

Friday on “SmackDown,” Rhodes confronted Reigns for the first time since WrestleMania 39 (excusing a brief fly-by on the ramp last year), with fans hoping for “The American Nightmare” to confirm that he and “The Tribal Chief” would indeed be running things back as he attempted once more to “finish the story.” Instead, while he said he was still coming for Reigns and that he wanted to take everything from him, it wasn’t going to be at WrestleMania. Rhodes explained that he’d sought counsel from legends and one in particular who knows Reigns very well, which prompted The Rock’s iconic entrance music.

While the live crowd in Birmingham, Alabama seemed to initially respond positively as that show ended in a staredown between Rock and Reigns, fans took to the internet to voice their displeasure, creating the #WeWantCody hashtag and otherwise voicing their displeasure far and wide, along with many wrestling pundits echoing their sentiments. Still, with a shade over two months left until WrestleMania 40 — and WWE possibly testing fan reactions even still — perhaps trusting Rhodes is indeed the smart move for now.

I believe we will have definite answers on Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania opponent and more on The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at the WrestleMania 40 Press event this Thursday night in Las Vegas.
