WWE has Brought Some Former Stars To WrestleMania Week

Charles “The Godfather, Papa Shango” Wright was flown in by WWE to New Orleans & he is staying at the WWE hotel there. 2 fans who ran into him outside of the WWE hotel claim that Wright said he would be appearing live on the WrestleMania XXX broadcast. There is speculation online that WWE may have Papa Shango appear to do some voodoo tie-in with the New Orleans theme.

Lanny Poffo & Danny Davis was also brought to New Orleans. It is the first time in a long time that WWE has used either Poffo or Davis.

Make-A-Wish Sending 31 Kids To WrestleMania XXX

Make-A-wish is sending 31 kids & their families to New Orleans for WrestleMania XXX. The WWE has planned a weekend chocked-full of activities guaranteed to amaze the loyal fans.

The Wish kids & their families will attend WrestleMania XXX & WrestleMania Axxess, meet WWE Superstars & Divas including a private autograph session & be inducted into the Circle of Champions at a luncheon with a surprise WWE Superstar at Audubon Aquarium.

Steve Austin & The Rock At WrestleMania XXX?

The WWE has contacted several huge names from the past for cameo appearances at WrestleMania XXX. Some of those contacted were – The Rock, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper & Jim Ross.

The impression given is that The Rock will appear on the show in some form, but whether it’s live or taped isn’t known. People in WWE say The Rock will be on the show in some form.

WWE has also pitched some ideas to Steve Austin about appearing on the show. Austin has decided to make the trip to New Orleans, so that could be an indication that he’s accepted one of the ideas.

Austin Predicts Punk Will Return At WrestleMania XXX

Steve Austin on his podcast predicts that CM Punk will return to WWE at WrestleMania XXX. Austin first made this prediction 2 months ago & on his latest podcast he says he sticking to his prediction. He says “Who knows if it will happen. We will know in about six short days when WrestleMania actually happens.”

Will Sting Be At WrestleMania XXX?

Sting has been added to this weekends WrestleCon event in New Orleans which is where WrestleMania XXX is taking place. The people representing Sting in regards to his WrestleCon appearance were saying he was not scheduled for either WrestleMania XXX or RAW the next night & that the WrestleCon people were paying for a round-trip ticket with Sting going back home after the convention.

As I noted before there is talk that Sting will have a match against The Undertaker next year at WrestleMania 31 & that the match might be announced at WrestleMania XXX or on RAW the next night.

WrestleMania XXX Match Moved To Pre-Show

WWE announced in their Network press release that Ryback & Curtis Axel VS Los Matadores VS The Real Americans VS The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Titles will take place on the WrestleMania XXX Pre-Show. The Match will air exclusively on the WWE Network.

4 Spots Remain For The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Only 4 spots remain for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. WWE is expected the announce some of the final 4 spots tonight on RAW. Rob Van Dam is rumored to get one of those final spots.

Wrestlemania Week is Here – 30 Years of Excellence!

Finally, it is Wrestlemania Week and just like the week before for the Super Bowl, we can look for a great week of excitement. This year should be extra special. 30 years of Wrestlemania, and it’s a good bet that the WWE will not be letting it’s fans down.

After correcting the Daniel Bryan snub fiasco, everything that has come down the pike has been top notch, yeah – even if some aren’t happy that Razor Ramon and not Scott Hall is going into the HOF.

I’m gonna break down the remainder of this post into three parts. 1) The WM XXX card; 2) The DTRTWrestling.com coverage; and 3) Looking back WM past.

The DTRT Wrestling Timeline To Wrestlemania XXX

Two weeks from tonight and it will be Wrestlemania XXX and DTRTWrestling.com is going into full-court press mode from now until Mania is in the books for another year. Yes that’s a March Madness reference right here in the middle of talking about The Super Bowl of Professional Wrestling (or Sports Entertainment for those who aren’t old school and prefer to toe the “company” line).

Here is how we plan to show that we are up to the task of taking this site to the next level and being the organization where you can get print coverage, right here on the flagship of the DTRTWrestling.com brand AND online radio coverage at DTRTWrestling.com Radio on Blog Talk Radio.

The following will take place on the radio portion of our organization. You can listen to these shows live or in archive immediately following the live broadcast.

Raw Post-Show – Monday 3/24 at 11:30 eastern; 10:30 central; and 8:30 pacific. A quick 30 minute recap of tomorrow’s Raw.

Raw Post-Show – Monday 3/31 at 11:30 eastern; 10:30 central; and 8:30 pacific. A longer recap as we take a look at the final Raw before Mania. Should be plenty on the agenda that night.
