The 4Horsewomen invade WWE Summerslam

Tonight WWE held their 2nd biggest PPV of the year “Summerslam” in Los Angeles CA. With it be held in LA one would expect to see some big names in the crowd, and indeed we did. The camera showed UFC Women’s Batemweight champion Ronda Rousey in the crowd. They even gave her a notable mention. Also in the crowd were the rest of the “4Horsewomen” and MMA stars Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. The girls were seeing backstage with WWE divas Paige and Natalya, WWE superstars Dalph Ziggler, Brock Lesnar and legendary manager Paul Heyman.
The love doesn’t stop there though because Stephanie McMahon flashed the “4’s” to the girls as she walked out to her match with Brie Bella (which can be seen here https://gfycat.com/ifrt/DigitalHeavenlyAmericanbulldog)

I’m sure this was a mark out moment not just for me but for a MMA and WWE fans alike

MMA Fighter War Machine Arrested

War Machine Jonathan Koppenhaver

U.S. Marshals spokesperson told Fox Sports that MMA fighter War Machine, whose birth name is Jonathan Koppenhaver, has been arrested Friday in Simi Valley, California by U.S. Marshals after being on the run for more than a week following the alleged assault of his girlfriend. He was at Simi Valley jail on Friday afternoon pending his extradition to Nevada.

TMZ reports  that the former UFC fighter had several warrants out, 5 of them for alleged felonies.

War Machine’s ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, a well-known adult-film star, is accusing him of horrifically beating & nearly killing her in the early morning hours of August 8th. The alleged assault resulted in 18 broken bones around her eyes, missing teeth, broken nose, a fractured rib & ruptured liver, Mack wrote in a statement on Twitter.

Ronda Rousey Accepted The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

UFC President Dana White took & then issued the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to Ronda Rousey. She accepted the challenge & issued the challenge to Sylvester Stallone, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson & Gina Carano. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has raised millions of dollars for the national ALS Association since July 29th.

Danny Castillo vs Tony Furgeson set to co main event UFC177

Following the news yesterday that light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is out of UFC178 due to a leg & ankle injury the new headlining bout for UFC178 will be for the flyweight title featuring champion Demetrius Johnson vs challenger Chris Casario. That bout was originally scheduled for UFC177 as the co main Event Now however the co main for Aug 30th in Sacramento will be veteran Danny Castillo taking on the rising Tony Furgeson. Other notable fights on the card include of corse the main event rematch for the batemweight title between TJ Dillashaw & Renan Barro, and of corse the whole reason why I’m traveling to Sac in the 1st place the long awaited UFC debut of MMA veteran Shayna Baszler vs the undefeated Brazilian Bethe Corriea.

That light heavyweight champion Jon Jones sustained a leg injury and he will be unable to defend his title against rival Daniel Cormier on September 27th That bout is being rescheduled for January 3rd @ in Las Vegas Nevada. Now headlining UFC 178 will be Demetrius Johnson vs Chris Casario for the flyweight title that was previously scheduled for UFC177 in Sacramento CA

Happy Birthday to the Queen of Spades

Its the greatest day in history and to be honest I don’t even know what to say. It’s crazy to think that an athlete could affect me in such a short amount of time but here I am saying that I can’t find the words to describe how much I truly respect this woman. Shayna Baszler made her MMA debut in 1999. That’s 15 years! I honestly wish I could say I’ve been a part of all those 15 Years but I’m fortunate enough to have nearly 1 year under my belt. In this one year of knowing who the Queen of spades is I got introduced to the #4Horsewomen and further more fell in love with the world of #WMMA because of that love I’ve met so many awesome people that I can truly say their friendships will last a lifetime. This sport of MMA and our service to the #QueensArmy is our bondage and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I’ve had so many opportunities that I never thought I’d have.

Some people may not like Shayna Baszler’s cocky blunt attitude but you know what that’s exactly what I LOVE about her. She’s a REAL HONEST passionate kick ass human being who has been nothing but sweet to me!

Shayna is the perfect example of what hard work and determination does. She fought in a time where weigh in’s blood test didn’t exist, in a time where no one gave a shit about WMMA. She’s one of the very few active veterans in the business. Her record speaks for itself. Many consider her a pioneer of wmma and I don’t disagree. In just 22 days all those blood sweat & tears, those constant twitter wars with people that think they know everything because they watched ONE reality tv show, the injuries and the long road in took to get to the big time will finally pay off! August 30th at UFC177 will be the greatest day in UFC history because the queen of spades will take her rightful place in the octagon this becoming the 1 in 8-1

As a member of the queens army I will end it with this regardless of her heelish character she truly is one of the humblest people I’ve ever met & there’s nothing anyone can do to make me think different! 34 years ago today a legend was born! #HappyBirthdayShaynaBaszler

Jones and Cormier brawl at UFC178 media day

Today as a part of UFC178 media day in Las Vegas light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier had arguably the most intense & memorable face off’s in UFC history. You can see Jones getting a little to close for comfort and Cormier wasn’t having any of it. At one point the stage even collapses & security has to pull the men apart.

This confrontation had me on edge. Could you imagine when the two step into the octagon on September 27th. You’re not going to want to miss this. Who are you guys rooting for in this one? I’m 100% with DC
